Brock and Gents, WOW! I mean WOW!!!! Paying it forward. God bless you all for helping Ryan, thank you Brock and Gentlemen for your heart's kindness, you all are amazing!!!!
One of my most favorite rides ever. Thanks for letting me relive it with you. The little hot spring you stoped at, I done remember that. I guess I need to go back again.
From 2007 until 2012, my girlfriend and our 2 dogs would drive to Ouray, swim laps in the Ouray Hot Springs pool, soak in the hot pool, then have dinner in the amazing Mexican gourmet restaurant. After dinner we would then drive up Yankee Boy Basin just outside of Ouray, all the way up to the Imogene Pass turnoff. We then drove up above treeline in our Toyota Land Cruiser expedition vehicle and spend the night. In the morning we drove up to the Imogene Pass summit, take a few photos, then head down into Telluride for espresso and breakfast. After moving to Colorado from Southern California in 1994, I have never seen more beautiful off-road trails, or experienced more freedom anywhere else.
My new wife and I just returned from covering all those roads in Colorado, my second time on the 550 and we took the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge RR trip. Absolutely beautiful.
I’m 59, heading out next week for a 10 day ride. I keep wondering when I’ll be considered an older rider? Eat right, sleep, sun, and do some resistance training. We work too hard in life to not be able to do things when we retire.
Well Brock did you know those manatees can swim up to 34.3 mph? And that’s not all! Did you know they sneak out at night and eat rubber. Yep just suck it in. That is what happened to that young’s man’s tires. Buy the way that was a class act buying that young man’s tires. Hats off to all of you!! With all the bad news these days that was really heart warming! Best part of the entire ride. Worst part of the trip it’s now 7 more days until we ride again! PS, Huckleberry ice cream sounds so good!
The reason that there aren’t any guard rails is that they can plow the snow completely off the road been across that road many times if you drive sensible it’s no more dangerous than any other mountain road
The problem is that at least guardrails keep you from going over. There, if something happens, and you start sliding over the edge, (or if a cage punts you over) you're done. So, yes, it is always going to be more dangerous, you just have to always keep that in the back of your mind. I lived in CO for 20 years, riding sportbikes for most of that, and it's just part of living there.
Actually in Switzerland they speak 3 different languages based upon what regions are in. About 70% of the country , the northern, eastern and Northwest speak GermanZ About 20% in the southwest speak French and about 10% along the very southern portion where it connects with Italy speak Italian!! Was just over there last month and I never knew that before we went!! Love ya videos brother!! And the Million$ Hwy is a great ride
No, there was obviously 3,000-4,000+ on them. Either the guy was lying, or he meant 800 miles SINCE HE BOUGHT THE BIKE. Also, either the guy just doesn't care about his motorcycle and that's how the rest of his bike is "maintained", or he's TOTALLY new to riding.
Yeah. There was more to the story. He rode 800 miles to get there. And they were good before he left. I got bad info and got the full story later. Blame the telephone game on this one
I was going to post that you got lucky and I don't think I've ever gotten through between Ouray and Silverton without getting rained on. Then you got rained on... LOL One of these days I need to make it to one of your rides.
I've ridden that road a bunch, in both directions, and must have gotten lucky because I never had to ride in the rain. Got rained on, and snowed on when driving the car, however. Plus, if you're through there before the usual 2-3:00 rains come, you're usually staying dry.

Some of best trips include the Million Dollar Highway. From my very first road trip, to the time we and my wife were the only ones on the snow covered road to the time I spent a week a few buddies riding on and off the Million Dollar Highway. Good times.

Age is only in our minds.
I think. Can’t remember what we were talking about.
Friend's for life, saw this vid and had to SUB. Acts 2:44-45. That's what it is all about.
It is all about it
I'll be out there the day after Labor Day, I'm going to look those bikes up in the MC shop, cool vid, those drone shots are unreal!
Haha. Yessss
Not only Butch and his buddy.
I heard they filmed Sharknado up there. Sharks everywhere…
I didn’t bring any shark repellent
Very inspirational the way one guy's problem is everyone's problem.
Here to help others. That’s what we do
Great team work!

Thanks for the tip about the manatees. Gotta be more careful.
That ice cream was a good choice
Hit up Little Switzerland off the Blueridge parkway near Asheville
Nice
That was a solid hook up for Ryan!
We were happy to help

I hate guardrails. We should outlaw them.

But we loved it
That's 300 country for sure. Some of the single track around there will tighten up the old bunghlio.
Haha. I’m sure
Thanks for the tombstone reference! Hence my TH-cam name 😂

Yep. Me neither.
Nice meeting and talking at TKO
Hey Wayne. Very cool to meet you.
Nice
Very nice
That was a blast! But did you meet any mad manatees!
I tried to avoid getting near the water.
I wouldn’t ride that a mile. Hmm bad tires or? Ok
Sketchy
Click-bait and you know it.

Medium well! Unfollow
That’s right.

You RODE that on the bike in the snow? It's sketchy enough in the snow in a CAR. I was there in mid-Feb '24 in my AWD RAV4 and it was pretty sketchy.
@@kx8960 the trip with my wife was in a 4x4 truck.
