Pedal Commander Vs Pedal Monster..Which One To Choose

  • Pedal Commander vs Pedal Monster. Watch this video before you lay down your money on a Pedal Commander or a Pedal Monster. Get my opinion on which one is better and why I chose the one I did. I had one for some time and now switched for a very good reason. Both have strengths and weaknesses. One weakness to me is a deal breaker, the other is just an accessibility or a lack of convenience.

    I am thinking about a pedal monster for my 2011 f150 5.0. I've always hated the throttle "lag" in my truck. I also have a boosted mustang that I occasionally drive. When I get into that after driving my truck it's super jerky because the pedal is sooo sensitive and it takes me a while to get used to. If both pedals felt the same that would help.

    Great video! Finally someone who gives a good honest review! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this video! I saw how you installed the pedal monster on your truck. It seems easy. I have a 4Runner limited and I’d like to buy the same Pedal Monster model you have. I am no expert concerning cars…can a guy like me install this device by himself? Do you know if the Pedal Monster can be used in an all wheel drive with H4F H4L L4L DAC and A-TRAC without negatively affecting those functions? Thank you.

    • @jazzlejohnson5364
      @jazzlejohnson5364  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for watching and thank you for taking time to comment. I am sure you can install this without issue. The hardest part of the install is finding a place to mount it. Just make sure you secure everything so it does not fall into your feet while driving if you mount it above your pedals like I did. Also, be sure and connect to your phone before tucking it away. It should not affect any of your drive modes, it only translates throttle input.

      Thanks for the install and review! When you have a moment, please give Low Speed Trim a try. You'll find it in the Menu under Settings. This feature reduces the sensitivity PedalMonster adds under 10 MPH. No other throttle controller can claim this feature since it's patented, along with Reverse Safety. It's the only device like it that sets you back to stock in reverse.

    Can you adjust the throttle curve on how jumpy the response is from when you initially press the gas? As in can you make it ease into the reaction time so you can start goin from a stop smoothly? With the sprint booster it constantly made take offs jumpy even at the lowest setting... I sold it eventually... Great review !

    • @bankspower
      @bankspower ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Because PedalMonster is connected to the truck's ECM via the OBD port, it can see your speed and gear. This data allows for a feature called Low Speed Trim. Open up the mobile app's menu, navigate to Settings and you'll find Low Speed Trim. You to tell PedalMonster how much sensitivity you want it to add under 10 MPH. We designed this feature for those who tow and don't want to jerk their trailer around when leaving a stop light. As you exceed 10 MPH, PedalMonster seamlessly rolls in its added power until it reached your pre-selected level in City, Sport or Track. It's also great for driving on slippery roads where you want the throttle to remain stock until you reach higher speeds. It's just one its many patented features. You can learn more about it here. bnks.pw/3rW8mf5

    After owning the Pedal Commander for about a yr one day my car went into some stupid limp mode where the pedal would not work properly and I had to press down on the pedal to get the car to go. RPMs would shoot up and stay at 4k rpm. I took it off car went back to normal after a reset and idel relearn. I opened my pedal, cleaned it thinking it might have been the pedal due to a code I got. Well turns out after a few months of not using it that installed the dam thing again and about 2 months after reinstalling it the pedal went into limp mode again, this time totally ruining it. I cant say for sure it was the pedal commander but I am not putting it back. Had to buy a new pedal and problem went away. Not risking it because next time it could be the cars ecu or something else. I drive a 2015 infiniti q40.
