That moment when the engine fires and runs. I dont care how old I get, that feeling, the smells, the excitement will never die!
They’ll never feel that in the future .with all that electric junk that’s gonna come …I’m hoping it dies on its Ar##😂😂
Love the fact that Chad reads the comments and sometimes uses fan’s suggestions. Shows that he is always willing to learn! Can’t wait to hear that hot rod roar.
@@littlecesar003 but not for very long
I suggested the ‘hole in the bolt’ for the throttle linkage 👍 I’ve done the same before. Some of the older cars come that way.
I knew that bad mamajama would run
@@tobygathergood4990 haven’t you got a party to spoil somewhere 🤷♂️
@@tobygathergood4990 each to their own. Sounds to me like a whole lot of jealousy. Do you really think that you coming onto Chad’s page and having a sook has made even the ‘tiniest’ bit of difference? Nope…just makes ‘you’ look like a whiner. I love that you lot ‘suffer’ through this stuff you hate so much 🤣🤣🤣.
Best part is…no matter how much you hate it…YOU are earning HIM money 🤣🤣👍🏻
I'm wondering if the backward tilt of the engine is messing with the float level of the carb. Might need a custom spacer.
If that were the case, you'd never be able to drive a car up a hill
It ran ok when they started it in that position..and I believe it will only used to race so no uphill driving if that's the case
It would require a much more extreme angle to be an issue. In fact fuel will likely flow from the fuel bowl vents about the same time float issues creep up.
@@JimmyMakingitwork too right ..Most V8s sit on an angle and run just fine
The carb is dirty. It's been sitting for God knows how long so the carb is dirty n dried out
Great job with sorting the engine lads. It always feels good when it fires up sweet and you both showed how happy you were. Carnt wait to see joline to give it a spin
Well, that shows the trials and tribulations around problem solving. Good job!
Sounds a little King James!
Nice work Chad, keep it up. Hearing it running after all that work is the best feeling 😉👌
It's good to have friends. It's great to have friends that can fix stuff. Nice job John.
Fingers crossed that it fires and runs great! Chad you've done well with the build can't wait to see Jolene cruising the yard with the racecar.
the look on your face chad when you finally get it going was priceless!!
It would be a lot faster if it wasn't always going uphill. 🤣
🤣🤣
No problem, just run it in reverse!
Put a lot of padding in the seat. This will ride like a Harley Hard Tail.
It's a gasser circle track car? Huh. Must be a Canadian thing.
Great job ! You all are determined and love to see success! Thanks for videos
I'm betting it will run. Thank you Chad and Jolene for the hard work in bringing us these videos.
do you have a ballast resistor on the hot wire to coil ?
Fantastic !!! I love it! Brings back memories of my first start up on my model A street rod.
Bravoo. Chad. funziona e cammina brava jolen sblocca le portiere non fare lo scalatore... Quando finisci le Bugatti ?tommy da ROMA.
So pleased … it’s 7:50 am here in the uk and I was hoping you’d get it running and so pleased it did … we’ll done guys . Bloody love this build
I love how positive Jolene is. She ain’t afraid…😂🤣😂🤣🥲😇🥰
Start up I have been looking forward to it. It's a good day. Thanks for the video
Nothing is better to me than watching Chad and his team Making It Work!
I knew you would get it going after all it ran before. Good job guys.
Good job guys . Working through the problems and getting it running
Let’s get that beast started so Jolene can race it bad Chad!
It will be fun to hear it run. Good luck Chad, and it starts right away.
Let’s get it running! Looks good that rust gives it a nostalgic touch.
That white 300zx was sick best part of the video seeing an actual cool car
Wow amazing, good to hear it run, needs some fine tuning for sure
Congrats on getting it started.
It will be a good day for the race car. Startup should go well. Time to get it done.
Hats off to your wife on the great camera job
I am so glad she's running
Really great videos you two , like that your friends are helping you get these going ! 🙂👍
Great job with sorting the engine
Once that old flathead caught spark she ran like a warrior ... Well done!
Congrats on solving the problem to get the car started. Now to see if the car can move around. Great job Chad, John, and Jolene. Take care.
She is alive! Go Jolene! So happy for you both. Lot of creativity has come to life! Wonderful. Enjoy your show. Keep up the great work, make yourself happy each day!
Will be fun to watch. So glad I can record all these vids 👍
Yesss, it worked finally. Was a bit worried there for a while, but you guys pulled through. Great job!!!!
Who's the engine guy here? Chad saves the day!
I dig Chad's unique mechanical solutions as much as his body work - somehow its art whatever he touches!
Way to stick with it and not giving up. That is freaking awesome.
Love watching you guys wrenchin
John is a gem, he has more patience than a faithful hound dog with an annoying kid.
Congratulations getting it started. Can't wait for the next episode.
👌Trash in the carb needle valve sticking or a weak points condenser inside the distributor
congratulations. Have a good start Thank you Chad and Jolene. So to the guest mechanic
Great moment to see this engine running in a nearly complete car! Good job!
I like the journey of this video. from frustrations to victory. I wish I had the smarts / patience & the building these guys have.
Great job again thanks for sharing your adventures with us today.😁
The hup lives again 👍
Just like the big TV show, build the suspense, in the last second will it run?
Its always awesome when it fires the first time. Congratulations!
Finally!!!!!!!!!! It started. It's always the simple stuff. Can't wait to see Jolene drive it!!!
Fired up!!! Can’t wait to see it race!
It's great that it started again in the end Chad and jolene keep it running for a bit now and give everything chance to seal back up again like the water pump. Keep up the great work the both of you 👍
I stand corrected on the fan hitting the shroud great job Chad
She runs! It will be fun to see Jolene driving it around.
Good to see you got it running. I noticed the belt looked like it might be loose.
It will run! I think maybe the distributor cap is not getting fire...maybe clean all the points and contacts in the cap?
Got it running, awesome!
I Missed a few nice to see it running. I don't know about that firewall!!
It runs just as good as it looks!
Jolene is going to have a blast running the race car
love it !!
Now it's time to tune it up. Doesn't sound too bad. But new parts should make it even better.🏁
Chad needs an organized nut and bolt system, standard and metric, all labeled complete
EXELLENT video..i was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
You have some neat equipment to work with, nothing like having the right tools
i recon she will purr like a kitten. cant wait to see it go around the yard
I don't know what you managed to do but the Audio Track on this "First start" video is the first time in a long time that your sound quality has been 100% clear and audible without relying on the "Closed Captions" for me to finally be able to focus on your masterful skills in fabrication. KUDOs to Bad Chad and Jolene to improve my enjoyment of this Vlog 1000%. Outstanding video Production!
Hey Chad the first thing to do if you even guess that their may be a water leak into a cylinder is to see if their are any bubbles in the radiator
Great to see it running today, really enjoying this.
Now thats AWESOME !!!! Top stuff to see and hear.
Best entertainment on u tube. At sometime you gotta hear it run for motivational purposes.. Thanks
Need to drop the front with of the body more over the frame to rake forward
Glad to see it run and the issue was really quite basic
Congratulations…Downtown John was a big help. And great garage
Companion. 😊
I love the way you do my brother because you do where nothing you do like real do and I like that keep going you are the best.. God bless you you . This is my favorite project
Wahooo!! Got her running!
The float in the carb could be stuck open which could flooding the engine
It's going to be nice to hear it run. Good job chad. Thanks for the video Jolene
And John
Couple things: keep turning distributor and give it ether. Choke it, Check coil ..
woop woop! what a day!
Well done. Sooner or later the engine had to start. 👍
But now you have to show the test drive as well. I can not wait. 😉
Greetings from Switzerland
finally got it running ,but another cap will surely help, great progress anyway, loved watching ,thanks for sharing
Its ALIVE ! Good Work !
I think the radiator will work fine for the short time to get to the line; The main thing is to have fun.
A cliffhanger. In the last 2 minutes, all came right. Phew.
does it have a name? I have called it DEATH TRAP
There are almost always some bugs that need working out... But you GOT ER DONE! Might be time for a cap and rotor though...
Can't wait for Sunday fun day!!!!
She's alive. Good stuff👍🇦🇺
You need to reinforce the firewall behind the gas pedal. It was flexing when you were applying pressure on the gas pedal.
I was having flashbacks from 1969 High school auto shop . After retiring as a auto shop teacher for 30 years this was a little hard to watch .
Wont start= no fuel, no spark or timing. Check all if possible.
Your almost done. But don't hurry through steps it is really taking shape. Has been a fun Build.
Fire-Wall !!! will it stop fire 🔥?
Plug gap is .035
Best feeling in the world. Nice !!!!!!!!
Your solution to the throttle linkage will work but I would have attached the static bracket to the carb mount and allowed for some adjustment
It is very refreshing to see a real reality show and not all the other fake ones. What you see is what you get, no more and no less. Can't wait to here this run. BRING ON THE THUNDER!!!!!! Bill
Oh man all that work at the end paid off Nice really Nice .
