Hey I just wanted to say me and my friend fixed her car with your video. My father passed away a tad over a year ago and my brother passed away less than a month ago. They where both really into cars and did all the rest of our family’s car work. I wanted to help my friend but knew next to nothing about cars. We fixed it and I am so proud of us and myself as I know my dad and brother are happy and proud of me. Thank you so much.
I watched the video to get an idea how difficult it would be to replace the alternator on my daughter's car. This video shows you exactly what is needed, very clearly. Also socket sizes and any other tools that may be helpful. The best diy video I've ever seen! Very impressed.
Loved that you document which size mm you are using, and the psi of torque. This is a great tutorial, thank you for making it. If I had 1 piece of constructive feedback, it would be to add a still frame at the beginning of the video that summarizes all the tools that would be needed (socket sizes, pry bar, zip ties etc). Showing the socket size and torque as a text overlay when you work on bolts would also be helpful for people who are unable to hear the video. Thanks again!
Hi, good video, but BEFORE you try to put a new one in place, you need to install the 14 mm bolt on the alternator first. After doing that, make sure the inner side of the bushing for the 14 mm bolt on the alternator body does not protrude through the bolt hole. Tap on the bolt to push the bushing out.
Mine is stuck. Meaning I can’t take out the Long screw because it’s being blocked from being removed. It’s too long to take out? regardless, if I move the alternator up and down.
A million times easier than doing a 2002 Kia Sedona where you have to jack it up...Remove Passenger side wheel, Passenger side wheel... Half of the front grill and Core Support Assembly...
good splanation but you need to loosen up the tensiner bolt first then take off the 12mm bolt to install you need to ajuste the bushing on the alternator for free inner on the braker

Thank you for this! Swapped it out myself today. You saved me hundreds and made me feel real proud of my self!

super clear and well laid out video, Thanks for listing the tools/socket sizes as well! I'll be tuning in often.
The 14mm bolt on my alternator Is to long...it does not clear the suspension system bracket, therfore I can not remove the bolt

What engine size is this
can please do a video on how to replace the heater hoses?
Thank you so much. Very cut and dry. I just replaced one on the highway in less than 20 minutes with lineman pliers.
great video thanks! does a new alternator come with the voltage regulator already attached?
What year is this elantra and when was it manufactured?
Will this certain alternator fit a 2014 Hyundai sonota?
Did you release tension off the tensioner to slide belt off or just let the alternator slip down
Release tension
You just saved me a ton of time and misery. Thanks!

What is that blue tool you are using to unscrew the bolts?
How long did this take and is a remanufactured alternator just as good as a new one?🤔 Anybody..
I don’t have a torque wrench. Do I really need one to do this?
Great video. Thanks so much
Great informative videos. I just found your channel and I love it. Great content.
What happens if you don’t have torque wrench
I can’t get my bearings to separate, it looks like there’s metal melted to prevent it from seperating
Is the car avnate xd similar?
Yeah same car
Bro put the same alternator back on 😅
2.30 starts getting sketchy before that looks pretty simple
My car won’t start even after replacing the battery.
Could it be my alternator or starter?
