I just bought a 2024 Crosstrek Touring, after being a loyal Toyota owner for decades. I did a detailed comparison of the Toyota Corolla Cross to the Subaru Crosstrek Touring. There was just so much more the Subaru came with and at many thousands less. The best choice in my opinion.
The Crosstrek is honestly a really great car. Our next new car just might end up being our third Crosstrek. Just enough cargo capacity, and a ton of interior room for occupants with the obvious benefit of being to put down the rear seats and pack a decent amount of cargo if you need to. Drives quite smooth and capably in the corners. The only thing I'd change is they should make the good engine in Japan.

I can see that the seats, the headliners, and the accent stitching colours are different between the 2 models, but I was wondering if the interior doors, dash, centre console, and the backs of the seats of the Touring and Onyx models are the same colors? Also does the Touring model have the piano black surface around the shifter like in the Onyx?

My biggest uncertainty is the split screen versus the large screen. Split appeals to me more from a functional standpoint, but don’t have experience with either. What is your opinion between the two from a user standpoint?
I'd go for the Touring if possible, but if it's a stretch, I'd stay with the Convenience. - the larger screen is better. Dual screen doesn't make good use of bottom portion. - Wireless apple carplay/andorid auto in the Touring, vs wired in Convenience - proximity key in Touring is NICE - Blind spot monitor, heated steering wheel, fog lights.
I have a 2016 limited hyper blue with white sparco terra wheels and a one inch lift. I’m so tempted to trade up for the 2024 model but love my modded hyper blue. Doesn’t the crosstrek come I’m a similar color to hyper blue this year? I saw 😢a Japanese video of the 2024 with a color similar to hyper blue
If you are into the lift and wheels, maybe get a Wilderness ? :-) They are coming later this year. You hyper blue is cool. My favourite colour. We have Geyser Blue Pearl for the Wilderness Crosstrek. It’s a similarly pleasing blue ;-)
Interesting that Subaru lost sportek seats, but city oriented Toyota corolla cross has them, also power levels are just like steps: Subaru base 152 Toyota base 169 Subaru 2.5 182 New Toyota hybrid 196 I hope there isn't influence being exerted to the decline of subaru.
we're excited to pick up ours on Tuesday! exactly the same trim and color! my mom decided to get a brand new car last week and it was a choice between the crosstrek and corolla cross, as soon as she saw the pictures of the crosstrek she wanted one so bad, we went to subaru dealership in our area (Trail, BC) we we're told to wait for 3-5 months after putting a deposit, I could see the sadness on her face. So I went to work and call several dealerships in BC, out of pure luck! I found one with her 1st color of choice! Communicating with the sales rep thru email and phone for the last 2 days and finally this morning the car is officially hers to take home!
I really hope subaru gets with the program with their paint department, every one I've seen, the bumper does not even come close to matching the hood and fender.

There's a bar underneath the seat. Pull the bar up, and move seat freely forward/backward.
