- I’m showing you my perfect, soft, no-spread sugar with lots of flavor! I’m also showing you two fun techniques to decorate them that don’t require royal icing. I think you’re going to LOVE this no-fail recipe!
2 cups sugar (400 grams)
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter (3 sticks or 339 grams)
4 oz cream cheese
2 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla extract (15 g/mL)
4 teaspoons almond extract (20 g/mL)
6 1/2 cups AP flour (780 g)
2 teaspoons baking powder (10 g)
1/4 teaspoon salt (1.25 g)
Bake 350° (177° C) 9-13 minutes

Found this recipe last year and is now my go-to sugar cookie recipe! Gearing up to make them again this year for my daughter's birthday. They were definitely a crowd pleaser!
I absolutely LOVE this recipe and use it often! I am trying it today with lemon extract instead of almond because of allergies since they are for a father daughter dance. I will definitely be dipping in white chocolate! Thank you!

Oh and btw I did 6 cups flour and my last 1/2 cup (needed) I used almond flour. Fabulous!

I finally got around to making these! Turned out so good. I was afraid to put that much almond flavoring so I cut it back a little but now I wish I had put the whole amount. I see where it needed it and next time I’m doing it right! 😂 I knew I should’ve trusted you!!!🤣 Thanks for the recipe!💖

Any suggestions on how to store the cookies you piped with buttercream? If you were to store them in a container like you did the chocolate, it would mess up the designs, right? Just thinking about how I can easily transport them! Haha! Love your tutorials! ❤️

Yes! Thaw in fridge or at room temp. Then make sure to freeze for 20 minutes after cutting out and before baking

Yes and yes! The butter can be room temp or slightly colder than room temp.
