I made this with gluten free flour (King Arthur flour) and they turned out awesome! Soft but not crumbly, and the lemon flavor was perfect! More lemon dessert recipes please, it’s such a great summer flavor 🤩

I used to buy the Archway Frosted Lemon cookies but I haven't seen them in the stores for years. These cookies are, honestly, better! I love that they stay soft and fluffy.

Have you tried the Lemon Bars? Those are the best and they’re pretty easy. Everyone likes them. I haven’t tried the cookies yet but they look so good. Not the ones with the food coloring 😵💫 though. I have to wait for my lemons to ripen

I’m going to try these, using oat flour, because I have celiac. I’ve adapted your cream cheese cookie recipe into both lemon, & chocolate, all 3 versions (including original) are delicious, & a big hit with everyone who eats them.

5:40 Try transferring the dry ingredients to parchment (could even be the parchment you'll use for baking), then transfer the dry ingredients on the parchment to the mixing bowl by folding/bending the paper into a cone/funnel shape. You won't spill the ingredients on to the counter. 💖🌞🌵😷
I definitely prefer the natural color and they looked delicious. I have made lemon cookies and lemon cranberry cookies and my family enjoyed them both.

This is almost exactly like an Almond meltaway cookie I make! Just lemon! I prefer the more naturally coloured cookie, as well. Definitely gonna give this a go.

One thing I found is that the cookies are better the next day, after being stored. The texture and flavor are improved (and both were already amazing).

I bake lemon everything! I also bake a very similar Sicilian orange cookie that is very orangey and delicious.
I'm a die hard chocolate fan, but wow, these were amazing! Like lemon pillows. I didn't use the lemon extract or food coloring and they were great! This definitely goes into the dessert rotation.

I used to LOVE “Archway ‘Frosted Orange’ Cookies”!! Sadly, the soft, melt-in-your-mouth cookies were “discontinued” DECADES AGO!! I can imagine your recipe for “Lemon Cookies” is “on-par” with their “old” version of “Lemon Frosted Cookies”!! Do you have an “orange-flavored” version??

I miss those orange cookies too. I would think you could sub orange zest, extract and orange juice for the lemon. This recipe is for soft cookies, so I think its worth a try!
