Followed this recipe closely and my first try at making macarons (ever) was a success! Thank you for such a clear and detailed tutorial! Side note: It's ridiculously humid where I'm from (Singapore) so I had to leave them out to dry/form a shell for about 1hr 15mins as compared to Amy's drier location for 25-30mins. And I baked mine in the oven at 145degC for 16mins. Hope this helps anyone living in humid weather wanting to try this recipe out! x

This was my first time ever making macarons and it worked! Some of them came off the pan sticky, but with a little trial and error to figure out my baking time and temp, I know I can get it perfect. Thank you!!
My first time making macarons and i started with another person's recipe. I stopped and started over and switched to yours because you give great directions for making the perfect meringue which is crucial. I did add 6 drops of yellow food gel because it was the Walmart brand but they still turned out perfectly. Thank you so much for being so specific. Im so happy i can make macarons now

It actually worked for me and for my first time too! I did had to leave them in the oven longer than 14 mins because they weren’t ready yet but other than that it worked! Thank you!! 😊
You can print out a Macaron template, place it under your parchment paper until all the circles are filled then pull it out and use it the next time. Freeze-dried fruits are wonderful to use
These are definitely one of my most favorite cookies and my kids love them especially with the Nutella filling ! I would like to attempt and make them- and surprise my kids Thank you for sharing. Always look forward to your videos 💗

Throwing the yolks away? Never an option. Also you can save them to make tiramisu or some dough for pies, (sable or similar), even "alfajores de maicena" (I don't know how to translate that😁). Thanks for the tricks and secrets of making.
This is a fantastic recipe. I followed along with the video. The only thing I did differently was age the egg whites first which just takes one to two days to do so get those ready first. I love the buttercream recipe. Yes, so much better with cream cheese.

This was my 5th time making macarons, 1 time some of them were ok but they were hollow. So today I used your recipe and... omggg I got ittt! 😁 tho the shells were very hollow but I did some research and I'm pretty sure I just slightly overmixed the batter, so that was kinda my own fault🤷♀️ but I love this recipe an I'm gonna try it again soon and try to get the full shells!! 5 star rating for sure ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ tysm for sharing this recipe!!💖

I saw your insta post last night and separated some right away and put them in the fridge for today, maybe I don't have to wait 🤔 I have always aged my whites every time I try making them. I'll try not aging my whites and let you know if there's a difference!
I was so excited to find this recipe! I’ve only failed at macarons in the past so I thought maybe finally I won’t. Well...after piping all the cookies I looked at the recipe again and realized I left out the granulated sugar! I just can’t win with macarons. I’m waiting for them to harden and I’m still gonna bake them and see what happens. I’m crying inside though.
Update: I re-made them and still failed. I baked 12 minutes at 300° (my oven doesn’t do 290°) and when I tried to remove them from the pan after cooling the bottoms stuck to the parchment and the tops came right off. This always happens. And the few that did come off intact were a little brown on the bottom. Maybe I should just stop trying...
I have tried making these a few times and have failed. Now im goner try urs and hopefully will let u know and will use a smaller circle nozzel as mine was hard to control as it was a bigger nozzel. I had my figure of 8 but they stuck to my baking parchment. So fingers crossed i will give urs a go x

I googled it and it said it was because I hadn't let them sit out for long enough, but I also think it may have had something to do with the almond flour used... Maybe I didn't make it fine enough, I used my magic bullet because my food processor was broken but not sure. One or the other. Going to give this a go, hope it works!

I've never tried it but if aqua faba is used to make vegan pavlova then I'm guessing that's what would be used for macarons too. Imagine it would be VERY tricky though!
They look so pretty! I don't like too much sweet.. will it make a difference with the texture if I reduce the quantity of sugar? That's the only thing pulling me back from attempting these lovelies ♥️
Yes it will. However, the shells themselves are not too sweet and you can use any filling you’d like. So maybe a less sweet buttercream or something else you think might be good

Hello, you would add cocao powder to them but I think you'd need to adjust the flour quantity then. Xx

Just a tip, if someone has never used a scale before: Put the bowl on before you turn the scale on and you don't have to bother with resetting;-)
Another tip for new users of a scale: The TARE button is to reset/zero.
Do you have to use almond flour? What about using regular All Purpose ?
