    I bought a small hand held vibrating massager from Amazon for just a few dollars, it has a handle and 4 “legs” so to speak to help “shake off chocolate “ on my cake pops by holding the massager in one hand and the cake pop in the other and place the vibrating massager on my forearm and it gently coaxes the chocolate off. I then discovered it works with a bowl of royal icing. I cut out the center of a big car wash sponge to hold the massager upside down (kind of cradled) and place the covered bowl of icing on top and let it vibrate. The bowls I use for my royal icing are anchor hocking glass with lids so the are covered and sturdy.

    So cool! What temp is the dehydrator on and how dry do they get? I usually leave them out over night to dry before I bag them.

    Hey Pam. Thanks so much for sharing! You're awesome. I'm hearing from many pro-bakers that they get too many bubbles. Can you help commenting on how to combat this issue?

    • @pamkennedybakes3649
      @pamkennedybakes3649  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In the video, I use a dental oscillator. It also matters how thin your icing is. It needs to be thin enough for the bubbles to rise so they can be poped

  • @kerrimcintyre6427
    @kerrimcintyre6427 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So using the dental oscillator, is there any worry of maybe a bowl toppling off of it, or does it not vibrate as much as I'm thinking it does?

    Hi Pam
    How long will it take to dry your cookies completely in the dehydrator?
    Thanks

    • @pamkennedybakes3649
      @pamkennedybakes3649  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do not keep them in there until fully dry. It will dry the cookie.
      You leave in just to crust and set the icing. About 10-30 mins. Then air dry

    Thank you for the great tutorial. But what if I don't own a fan or dehydrator? Will my cookies overflood if I leave them to air dry? Or should i give up on this technique at once? 😢 Perhaps i coud use my oven fan?

    • @pamkennedybakes3649
      @pamkennedybakes3649  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just a well ventilated area should be good, just keep an eye on drips

    • @pamkennedybakes3649
      @pamkennedybakes3649  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To get shine you have to dry quickly. If Just a fan didn't work then a dehydrator.

    I was so happy with my dipped cookies last night. This morning they are as dull as chalk. Followed the video exACTly. How disappointing ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

    • @pamkennedybakes3649
      @pamkennedybakes3649  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They didn't have enough airflow. The faster icing dries, like with a fan or dehydrator, will make it shiny.
