Always anticipate the evolution of plants when creating a massif, without forgetting the rendering in the different seasons... we learn by making mistakes 👩🏻‍🌾😉

You created a beautiful garden. I love the design and how you thought it all out. I really love seeing it from the infant stage to maturity. I also realize that a garden is forever changing and it will morph into something of it's own over time.

Oh oh ohhh!!!!! What a cozy garden!! I felt so comfortable, warm and cozy watching this. What an absolutely stunning transformation! Wow! You’ve got a great sense of style and flow with plants. I really love the expanse of hydrangeas, I mean there’s a point where it’s almost just a sea of pink hydrangeas! So cool, thank you for sharing this with everyone!

ROSES! Roses are steady spring thro fall color. Personally love English roses. The fragrance, the big peony like blooms and lots are very disease resistant anymore. I am waiting for you to discover the beauty of English roses, Danielle! 😂
Caryopteris is another late summer blooming shrubs.

I love your hydrangea garden. I think you can never have enough hydrangeas!!!! I live in Muncy,PA north of you. I love caryopteris for august pink and blue blooms! I have a variegated leafed one the blooms a periwinkle blue, several pink ones, one with lime yellow colored leaves with blue flowers and several dark blue flowered ones. They bloom in August and also make great fillers for bouquets. This past fall I found some at my local garden center on sale and I bought 9 just to plant for cutting. Can’t wait for spring!,

I'm so glad I found your channel! I'm also in zone 6b. Last year I succession planted out my zinnias and had blooms into October, I plant my own seeds of cool toned pinks, deep to very light blush colors. I deadhead my pink lemonade cosmos and they lasted as long. I also noticed several bushes around my area that looked like pink lilacs, covered in blooms, and discovered it's crape myrtle. They take a couple years to establish but they are so lovely, I'm putting a couple out this spring. Thank you for sharing your gardening!

What a fun video, it is so inspiring! I would suggest Pow-Wow Wild Berry coneflowers and regular purple cornflowers to add pink and purple from July-August. Coneflowers are long blooming and add great pops of color. The purple will naturally be taller than the pink pow-wows, so you could add both and gain a couple of layers of colors in your garden. Happy New Year!💗🤍💜

You have done an excellent job. I recommend one thing though. Please set the feet of your Arbors in concrete. If not, the metal will rot over a few seasons. This is a fairly easy fix i think. Use blocks placed under the bottom cross bars and away from the feet, of the Arbor. This will brace the arbor from moving. Dig holes about 12 inches deep and wide around where the feet are. Fill holes with concrete (Dry Post Mix). Adjust the arbor height if need be by shimming with wood, sticks or whatever off of the original blocks. Old magazines even work well. You now can add water. You don't need a lot, maybe a gallon or so. Don't worry over a little time the concrete will absorb what it needs and set up hard. Adjust the height of the postmix to be just above the soil after your initial watering. Yes, Use it dry, and mound up to the feet of the Arbor. Mist lightly and several times. leave undisturbed and it will set. You can get as fancy as you like here You can do one side of each Arbor at a time. Within a few days you will be set.

It's funny because I often go for variety and would never even think to put so many of the same type of plant in one place but you have inspired me. Maybe add some more glads bc they looked amazing? Other ideas to add: Lupin, Astilbe, Iris, Bearded Iris, Lillies or clumps of bunny tails around the edges. Maybe try Thunbergia and Clematis or Jasmine for climbing additions. First of all, your garden is indeed heaven! So beautiful!❤ I live in a medieval castle in the Netherlands and I have a very big garden with different kinds of garden rooms. I have a white garden who blooms almost whole year round white. And a garden around the moat which is filled in from yellow to deep violet. And a garden within the walls which we want to have pink, purple and blue’s and we fill in the gaps with geraniums and large pink poppy’s and lots of all kinds of roses. We have 50 different kind of roses in the garden and they bloom till it is going to freeze.
If you want to have pink till the beginning of winter, roses are very beautiful with hydrangeas! Also very beautiful and very well growing in a humid garden as yours are begonias. They do like a bit of shade and well moisterd soil.
I love your garden very very much, it sure is a dream of heaven! 🌺🌸🌼🌹🥀🌷 edit: for the early spring we planted a lot of tulip bulbs and other bulbs, we plant them in autumn.

I am dry and hot in summer, zone 5 but i love catmint , the lavendar blooms are beautiful. When cut down it can have 2 to three flushes. Also veronica, bee balm, and hybiscus have beautiful colors. I agree with you completely - I prefer color to a ton of simple white blooms. I always see Laura from Garden Answer planting 9 barks ~ these bring the dark burgundy foliage to areas that need that color. I have not personally grown it, but it is an option. I only have a small experience with hydrangeas, but this year I plan on planting a bunch more. I need to keep them all within my fenced area, because the deer are so prevalent. Good luck!

I love videos like this. I am trying to design my garden working through one "room" at a time. It is so hard to envision what it will look like through the seasons. And preventing plants from shading each other at maturity is tricky too. The hydrangea and salvia amistad has shaded all of my hardy mums and asters.

This footage was so inspiring!! Some of the shots you got were just breathtaking and I love the arbor for the flower tunnel that you picked.

I “liked” just for the doggo comment being her companion. But the garden is fabulous.

Your garden is so beautiful. I love the way you created that height with the arbor/pathway.

Your garden is just spectacular. We gardeners always bring happiness and pleasure to one another. I too, love having my doggies, Oliver and Lousky outside with me. They act as helpers (digging, barking and being my body guards). And yes, those hydrangeas made me become a new subscriber, absolutely, (though I garden in Zone 9B). Happy gardening, fellow gardener. Can’t wait to binge watch your other videos. (After working in my own garden, of course). 😊

Lovely garden design with beautiful hydrangeas and more. Suggestion for dark red leaved shrub such as Diabolo ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius Diabolo, zones 3 to 7), a big, wide-ranging shrub that makes a tough, easy addition almost anywhere, although its color will fade to green. Diabolo grows to 8 feet tall and wide, so give it space or prune it back hard - ninebark can take it. Diabolo's parent species is native to the eastern half of North America. Enjoy 2023!!!

10:06 Hi Danielle, you may know already, but just in case… You could add a hydrangea Eclipse, she’s gorgeous with purple foliage and dark pink flowers. It might be perfect for the spot you mentioned.
BTW, thanks for the lovely content you share with us, it’s very inspiring. I’ve learned a lot from you ❤

Danielle, I certainly have a love of hydrangeas and even with placing them in pots on my deck, because I know at the end of the season I can add them to my garden ! Your hydrangea garden is indeed heaven! 🌸❤️🇨🇦
