Full Tour of our 250 Year Old Cottage Garden - Ducks, Spring Flowers & Edible Garden

- Here is a full tour of our garden for those of you who are new here and would like to have a look around! We filmed this at the end of spring, so it is in a transition period before summer arrives. Some parts of the garden are a bit messy, but that's OK. We show you some of the projects we have completed over the last five years, some works in progress and what to expect in the year ahead. You can also meet our flock of runner ducks too!

I love that you leave wild areas in your garden as a natural habitat. Your garden is lovely, and you look like a natural part of it in that pretty green dress.
The dog at 1:02 "hi"!
Even though I am naturally a tidy person, I also leave lots of areas wild for wildlife in my cottage garden. It's always lovely to take a stroll through your wonderful garden
I have had the worst few weeks , seeing your video popped up made me SMILE so much. You have no idea how happy i am. I so love your garden, ducks,, and a fab dress too. 😊🦆👗🌻
Your garden has changed beautifully through the years.
I like your gardening style. You guide your garden rather than trying to have absolute control, which is what I try to do. I think working with nature gives better results than trying to assert demands on it. You have evolved a lovely garden in 5 years. I also like your style in dresses and skirts. As a man I feel a bit odd in commenting on this. I wear a lot of second hand / vintage clothing myself. I wondered if you did the same. On the subject of second hand, I am a regular buyer at car boot sales. You can find some fantastic tools, pots and other garden items for really good prices at a boot sale if your persistent and patient.
Great garden,loving the dress
This is my fav zen tour so far. There's too much to say about the garden, but it's other worldly now. And the timing of this tour was perfection. The wind, shade and scattering sunlight with all of the long grass and colors. I could go on forever.
You've given so much love to the garden it really shows and thank you for looking after it so well with what time you have.
In my eyes it is perfect...It's magical and I could live in it forever.
wow, 50k subs now, you deserve every one of them and trillions more.
Lovely dress
I like that you compromise about nomowmay in your needs😊❤
This is my favourite garden. It's absolutely perfect💕🌷Love your videos.
If you plant Wallflowers the bees, especially bumble bees love to visit in March when the wallflower are in flower. Lovely garden. Also if you put a piece of volcanic rock in the bottom of you water butt, it stops the water going sour. I read in an 1800's book on Cuba this was how they kept water from going off. I have them in my butts and no sour water, now 8yrs.
I always love seeing your amazing garden. I want ducks so badly, but I know that is also a lot of responsibility, so at my age, I just need to watch yours.
I truly appreciate the natural garden you have, some areas more polished but most of it is so beautiful with grasses and wild flowers. When I saw your vegetable raised beds and the grass waving in the breeze I felt like I was looking at my own. Hope that you keep your channel content this way. Our world has been filtered through sanitised lens for far too long. Thank you for sharing your journey
Yall are making it a paradise ❤😊

My friend, thank you for good sharing
Have a good relationship
Hearing you say you like to keep the soil covered at all times, reminded me of something a Homesteader here in the States says “Mother Nature is modest, she likes to keep covered.” I so love your garden tours! I would love to have some ducks! But it is so hot here in Tucson in the summer. And we have Hawks and Owls living in our huge Pine Trees. I can’t let my chickens free range or they would soon be gone.
Makes you wonder why people are so keen on “hazard reduction burning” hey?
I guess it depends on where you live. Here in Florida, US, there are a number of solitary bees that need bared soil to burrow into. And densely planted, heavily mulched soil means the sand skinks have nowhere to freely move about. So I guess Mother Nature is more about moderation so that diversity of life can thrive. While I do mulch many of my beds, I leave some bare... as I looked out just now at a bared herb bed, I saw two 6-lined racerunner lizards moving about. I never see them around the mulched beds, just the bared ones.
Wow...I like this garden ❤
Thanks for sharing your nice garden. I really like your old iron bench that by a green house. So so nice.😊❤

Love your garden and your videos as always! Does anyone know where the gorgeous green dress is from?💚
I think I may have caught a glimpse of the Rambling Rector, but not sure as you didn't showcase it in the video. You know I'm the only one who ever mentions the Rambling Rector. I'd really like to know how it's coming along, Mona. Thanks! Perhaps next video?
So ,beautiful and pretty and the garden looks great as well😊
Do you harvest the syrup from your Agaves? If so, please do a video and show us. Lovely, peaceful gardens. N. Florida Zone 9a 😊😊😊

I was wondering if you have heard anything about daffodils killing the other flowers around them so they can grow in more? Since your garden features a wide variety of flowers including daffodils I was wondering if you had ever experienced this yourself or had any opinions on it.
Throughly enjoyed your June tour as with all your previous tours so lovely. Please could I ask the name of the beautiful tall pink plant you show in your garden it’s about 15.50 mins into the video when you are talking about the wild patch and show the alliums? Thank you Alison x😊
Do you mean the tall spike flowers behind the alliums? These look to be tall lineria/toadflax
@@jeorjina thank you ☺
Do you face any issues with rodents in the garden?
🤗🤗❤️❤️👏👏

Stop playing house and start preparing for what is coming
Your too far from the camera
Who’s we/us/our ? I’ve never seen anyone but you on this channel nor you alluding to living with anyone? Is it the fricking pluralis majestatis or what? Either keep it singular, show us wo’s included in the plural or tell as about them. This way it’s just plain weird, like you think you’re something better than just a normal human being.
Your garden has changed beautifully through the years.
What a wonderful tour. Nice to see how things piece together. You certainly have so many nice areas progressing to the wild
