  • Our first day exploring Triglav National Park was amazing. It was so refreshing to get back out in nature, hiking these beautiful trails. Tolmin Gorge is such a well-organized hike but know that they only let so many people in per hour. Because of this, we did end up waiting at the entrance for about a half hour. Also of note, the parking lot closest to the entrance is super small and is full pretty much as soon as the gorge opens. Due to this, you have to park at the second lot a few miles down the road. But don't worry, there's a free shuttle to take you to the gorge and back.
Kozjak waterfall was a great hike to end the day and it was so cool that you could wade through the water and get a closer look. The trail wasn't difficult at all, and you could walk almost the entirety of it for free. But if you do plan to go all the way to the waterfall, there's a booth collecting your entrance fee toward the end of the hike.
We had a great day overall and looking forward to more gorges, waterfalls and hikes in beautiful Slovenia.
