Hey Rhino. Sensel here, makers of the haptic touchpad in the X1C G12 as well as the P1 Gen 7 that you recently reviewed. Thank you very much for the mention in this video. 🙏
We're bummed to hear that you didn't enjoy our touchpad, though we completely respect your opinion. As much as we try to emulate the mechanical TrackPoint buttons, it's not exactly the same, especially since the physical buttons are slightly raised from the rest of the touchpad, and our touchpad is completely flat.
If you'd ever be interested, we'd love to talk and find out a bit more about what you didn't like about the touchpads, and also tell you a little more about some of the advantages that perhaps you haven't considered. Maybe there's something we can do to improve the user experience for you and others who feel similarly to you. 🥰
Love the reviews. Keep up the great work!

Thinkpads deserve Linux!
Why?
Great review, exactly how they should be done, from a regular user's perspective. How is battery life at balanced mode, 50% brightness and doing light tasks (youtube, web browsing, emails etc)?
I spent $3000 on the X1 g12 just to realise that the fan noise is HUGE NOISY and AWFUL!
How come not mentioned in the review??
I'm so sorry that that's you your device is!
I would call Lenovo's support and ask to fix it.
I'm using that device now to write you that reply and it's almost dead silent for about 3 hours now!
Nice review. If I have the chance to get T14s Gen 5m do you think is a good buy compared to this laptop
Thank you!
Yes, sure! It's a a little "cheaper" version of the X1 carbon, but they're almost matching in many aspects.
You would prefer the horrendous touchpad that moves making finger movements inaccurate? Why?! Haptic touchpads are superior in every respect and don't fail anywhere near as often as a moving touchpad does.
this or surfsace laptop 7nth edition?
Will you consider this X1C 12 or the Yoga 7i aura edition?
@clithao This device is great, but the battery life is really poor against a qualcomm cpu or any arm based cpu in that matter.
The Aura would probably win by 2 hours or more.
It really depends on the use case, but I would still take the X1C just because it has wwan and the screen is matt + 120hz. 😊
Thanks for the review. Are the Geekbench 6 single core scores usually higher or lower than Geekbench 5’s?
Thank you!
I actually am not sure, I think it's slightly higher
You can replace the haptic touchpad with a trackpad if you want
How big is it? It looks really small
It's actually not that small! Very convenance size. Not too small, not too big :-)
@longrhino looks like it's the same size as the acer chromebook... that's quite small
How is the screen door effect. My Lenovo slim 7 oled has this issue.
Hey there, great question!
It's also here, but you can barely see it.
Better than other devices that I've encountered.
Like your rivew Thanks
does it have VRR or no?
I need to check, but I'm 90% sure that it's either 60hz or 165hz, no vrr option. maybe it's available in the Vantage application.
I will instal arch atraight away
What's the reason?
@@Konig91939 Windows is trash.
