She really does have a beautiful and distinct voice that's full of character. You know it's her when you hear it. and that's probably more important than sheer technical ability. Plus it's gotten steadily better and better as she's gotten older; her voice on the TV re-records has never sounded better.

You're right, but there is a clear vocal enhance & reverb effect being used during the performance. She is a skilled and talented singer, undoubtedly but there are effects being used in these performances.
Indeed her voice is fabulous, but we must also see her regular riyaz for maintaining her sweet voice.
I'm a 65-year-old man and I've seen a LOT of live performances. This is probably the best performance that I've ever seen. Amazing ENTERTAINER. She can entertain a room or a stadium with just an acoustic guitar and her talent.

No matter how basic her "chords" and voice are, her music had inspired, and keeps on inspiring people of different ages, culture, nationalities, etc. Many know her songs, even jam to some of them, even if they are not fans. and this has been going on for many years. and in my opinion, that's the reason why she deserves that award. :)

@@joe22589 ear-pieces are used usually in concerts where the audience/bg music is loud. The artist wouldn’t be able to hear themselves and the earpiece helps them so they hear and won’t miss a note singing. Luckily, the audience in this video was quiet so Taylor doesn’t need it.
There's a monitor on the floor in front of her. You really can't sing live without some type of monitoring. You won't be able to hear yourself sing, this is why sometimes you see singers put one hand on their ear when singing live. If you plug one ear you can hear your own voice much clearer, even in a loud place. Try it just while talking and you'll see what I mean.
Pure Taylor, pure talent. Showing her voice, her guitar and not relying on clothes or props or anything. People shouldn’t underestimate her like they do.
Taylor is great, but this was definitely run through pitch correction after it was recorded... if you really want to know what Taylor sounds like live, you need to go hear her live.

the thing about taylor is that she doesn't have the strongest voice but she has a singing voice that really brings out the emotion and tells the story which is a style of voice that I adore. she has a distinct style.

I am a huge Taylor fan, and I know she's proud of her wins, but I wouldn't take the Grammys too seriously. I mean, you don't decide what music you listen to and like by whether it won Grammys or not. For example Queen, one of the greatest rock bands in history, never won a Grammy.
