With 106 horses and 103 lb.-ft. of torque on tap, the 2007 Toyota Yaris is hardly a performance machine, but once its driver gets used to where the meat of the motor is and learns how best to extract the power, this littlest of Toyotas offers acceptable gusto considering its place in the subcompact segment.

Yaris has way more room than some sedans. It's looks a lot smaller than it really is inside. There's plenty of headroom, and overall space. I love my 2007 Yaris.

Batman this is a good option, I bought one a few months back and honestly it’s so good on gas and rides pretty smooth for what it is. My only complaints are the uncomfortable seats and that the wind blows it around so easily.

I love how people bash the Yaris without even trying it for real. Do people even know that if you put it on the track against it's competition (Fit, Fiat 500, Mazda 2, Nissan Versa, etc...) it beats them all out?

I’ve had mine for about 2 years now with over 200,000 miles on it, and it still runs great.

It reminds me of the old Ford Aspire I used to have...I loved that car and I think I got like 38 miles to the gallon. I bought it brand new for 8000.00. That car was so durable it lasted for years before I traded it in for a Geo Prizm

I LOVE my 2008 Yaris. The engine is MORE than powerful enough. Don't know what this guy is talking about. It's NOT under powered. No problem getting up to highway speed with 4 people inside and the air-conditioning going full blast!!

I Have the YRX 1.5 here in Australia and is just an amazing car. A 2007 model that i still consider better than most new cars! A great Investment

I just bought one and I'm so happy I got it.
I'm never regret that I bought it instead of any other strong car. It worth all the pennies I give up for it.
It may not be strong and powerful but the "fun" make up for it.
    TOYOTA FOREVER!

You're right. I was looking this up and saw the Nissan Sentra, which costs 15k (the same as the Fit), and it comes MUCH better equipped and with more horsepower output. I also think it looks better.
Also, what about the Lancer ES?

@Ttran778 True. This guy seems to be a little off the mark with his review. I have a 1.5 YRS, which has a nice interior. I love the centre readout display, and i love the extra compartments you get by having this. Mine has the audio controls on the leather steering wheel, leather gear knob, the interior is very nice. And it goes really well. Not slow at all. AC on or off.

Well, everything depends on your available market.....For example in my available market, I will buy a Suzuki Swift or SX4, or a Hyundai Elantra or i30, maybe an i20. If I put a little bit more money, a Honda Fit. There are many options for a better car for the same or less price, maybe for a few hundreds more, but with options that really worth paying for them.

if you want the most reliable vehicle for your money over the long run, don't bother with the lancer. It's a great car, but it has some cheapness to the interior and has never had a reputation for being super reliable. Just keep that in mind. much love :)

I have this same car and im 5'11 people regularly give me strange looks and even laugh at me when im driving it. Is it because its a girly color or am I too tall for it or something. I know its practical but I cant be getting laughed at all the time.

As far as climbing hills, I live in a very hilly area, so I have to climb all the time. It takes the hills with 5 pips inside easily. I drove it in snow, mud, rain, u name it... I also have no problem getting on and off highways safely, as well as keeping up with speeds. So, I'd say if u dont care what everybody (and most people are retarded anyway) think of you, you want a small comfy car, get a Yaris. Oh yeah, and crappy drivers will always find a way to complain about their cars. Cheers.

Nissan Versa 2012 YTD sales = 93,500 cars sold in USA
Toyota Yaris 2012 YTD sales = 26,000 cars sold in USA

Yaris is not a bad car...but it is really overpriced for what it is....for that money you can a buy something way better. In addition, the interior design is very boring and the materials are very cheap. A lack of taste, I'd say.
