The Yaris is an excellent and reliable car I bought mine in 2011 when my 2001 Honda Civic broke it's timing belt and messed up my engine. I bought the Yaris and I have had it for 11 years 176,000 miles, three continents while in the military and it's still going strong.
I have an '07 with 265,000 miles on it that I bought new. It still runs, shifts, drives and steers perfectly with nothing ever replaced except the oil, bulbs, battery and brakes, and it's never been in a shop. It even still has the original coolant and transmission fluid (automatic).
You should have replace those. The coolant gets acidic over time and lost it's rust-inhibiting properties. ATF should have been regularly changed as well. It might cause slip now if replaced now though since it hasn't been changed.
I have just driven from Cairns to Adelaide In my 2007 Yaris YRX 1500 manual 3000K started Monday 0600 Cairns Queensland arrived 1500 in Adelaide SA this included several hours off road slammed a few Roos and rough terrain what an awesome vehicle I bought the car a week ago checked the oil and water and off we went solo outback amazing car love it more than my 2020 Ranger Wildtrak😎
I have an 09 with 265k. I bought it at 153k. Yes I drive a lot. Had it for over 4 years. Been on some long road trips and very great. Love rod trips anyway
Dang!! 30+ hours of drive! If I do 12 hours per day, it will take me 3 days to complete the journey. That's some hard motivation and determination. I wonder if the car engine is still alive. Respect to you.
@@jsprojects6649 That's insane. Please do regular adventure vlogs, I thoroughly enjoyed this vlog. This channel has the potential to grow big. Good luck.
I drove from Florida to Colorado with my boy an we stayed up drinking all night the night before an I drove straight through had a flat limped it at 50mph on a donut all night to Dallas by time we got there it was 40 hours of driving and was up for 72 hours at that point I was hallucinating trains crossing the highway and shit or people running in front of me the second night in Texas when we were like 8 hours from being there… I will never drive more than 20 hours at a time ever again after that 😂😂
A 5 speed yaris can get 45 mpg at 65 mph on the interstate. If the car is white you can get another 1 or 2 mpg vs a dark colored car. Keep the tires aired up to 35 psi front and 32 psi rear and don't haul unneeded crap to keep the car light.. You are welcome.
damn i just got my driving license and i was thinking about a cheap car as i can modify into sport design and speed late at night...thanks for the video i think i found my car definitely
Yes! I just purchased this same car 2 months ago 5 speed. I drive 100 miles a day round trip for work and this car is amazing. I have a 2011 camry as well but I like driving the Yaris...
mine is a 2007 Vitz (yaris) before I thought it's fuel consumption is higher than normal but as have seen in this video and compare it it's consumption is the same like your car for each fill up it passed 460 kms

They last forever good gas soo yes, just remember oil changes every 3-5k miles because it makes the engine last you could get 500k miles with regular maintenance
I have belta and no, its just an robust engine that never dies if you take good care it doesn't have all that I think like Cruze control etc but I don't know about newer models
@@jsprojects6649 do you like that car? Is it comfortable and get you from a to b without issues? I’m seeking for information since I want something reliable and small for a first car.
@@MichaelRciv it’s been reliable and no major issues so far. Only issues I ran into are common part of maintenance as it’s getting old and higher mileage. But it takes me from a to b no issues at all and comfortable in my own opinion.

so basically you haven't maintained it properly. But theyre such well made cars they can withstand the abuse.
You should have replace those. The coolant gets acidic over time and lost it's rust-inhibiting properties. ATF should have been regularly changed as well. It might cause slip now if replaced now though since it hasn't been changed.
Mine 2006 , only minor trouble (rubber parts) and still running well today 2024
Great Video! I also have a 2008 Yaris Hatchback. Change the oil as directed and they will run trouble free!
