Slotted screws. Yes, they're a pain, but a lot less likely to be rounded out by some tech with a blunt or wrong size screwdriver.

I replaced every bulb in the game. The pop bumpers got brand new light sockets with new bulbs. I usually put the bulbs in the new sockets before putting them in the assembly so I know the bulb is a tight fit in the socket.
