Many don’t get that homosexuality is a disposition that cannot change. Arabs/Muslims who choose not to act on it out of taqwa see lots of hate & derogatory terms as much as those who act on it. So I don’t blame any gay person to be repulsed by their own society that shows no understanding or empathy towards their struggles. Allah is the true judge and it goes a long way for everyone to be empathetic

Clearly homosexuality is a form of survival system.
It’s not about individuals reproducing, human survival is about survival of the family. And a person who does not have their own children, but has family

I am from Jordan and have never heard anyone go to jail or get disowned by their families because of being gay. I know many gay people since the 90s and they are out and about, and no one bothers them. Just like you have good supporting families in the US, you also find good supporting families in Jordan and everywhere else. Don't generalize.
