Power scaling is such a pain in the a$$. And not sure how powerful Thor really is in the MCU. Once Odin died Thor got a boost. He just hadn't had a chance (in my opinion) to truly use and tap into his full potential. He's been in a mental trap since Infinity War and basically growing up in a new way. Even being 1500 years old.
Exactly after Odin died Thor didgeridoo stronger we just haven't seen him use his other powers
Yh he still hasn’t used his new powers properly. Only for like 30seconds in infinity way. The only way I see Thor take no.1 place in the MsheU is if they adapt his heritage specifically his mother. Idk make phoenixe force his real mom. That paired with his asardian heritage should make him clap wanda. A lot of people forget that Odin agreed to having son with Phoenix force solely to have the strongest offspring in the universe

When Odin said Thor was more powerful than him, it felt like a he had more potential than Odin. Nothing shown so far suggests that he's actually surpassed Odin yet
Odin was always wise and loved both his sons Thor and Loki.
That’s because it’s going to take thousands of years before he gets on Odins level. Odin is a titan breaker and act of nature.
We literally haven’t seen Odin do anything extraordinary. It was only told by story, we can assume? But if anything Hela is more impressive. Odins eye was taken out by a frost giant Laufey who at best was probly Multi continental level.
Now Thor took the full force of a dwarf star and he may have died. But his durability in Infinity war was Solar system level.

ODIN know more than both of them about power, fighting skill, magic, and weapons. So Zeus and Thor are yet to show they are even close to what Odin has in his arsenal of knowledge and skills. Odin has brutally conquered the whole universe with Hela, and Odin easily subdued Hela like a boss.
It's sad that he's probably gonna die. It would be interesting to see Greek Mythology in the MCU
In the fight between Zeus and Thor, or at least one of them, It was clearly stated that Zeus was actually holding back, but was also not being gentle, as he really didn't want to start unnecessary beef with Odin. Personally, I think Zeus is physically stronger than Odin, and might even be more powerful, but I think Odin is much smarter and cunning than Zeus is. As for the MCU variants, I bet Odin is more powerful, but was clearly more limited by age.

Point is they made a terrible movie and they showed a live action Zeus and imo that's how I picture Zeus looking. Not an old man..no offense to the actor

MCU world building is too much at this point. the Guardians Of The Galaxy makes sense because these heroes are in space, far away from Earth.

This is a issue with having every movie being connected to each other, eventually you hit moments where not everybody can be there for different reasons, and they need to expand the story somehow so yeah even though they live in the same cinematic universe the story continues.

i dont think thor will have the odin force when he faces zeus in the movie i actually think zeus being a sky father will have same powers as odin he will likely give thor the upgrade or the help he needs also i see him giving valkyri her power upgrade as well
sorry but this doesnt make sense because in all comics and even in the movie thor always receives the odinforce after odin's death. i do think they are trying to make thor learn and understand the odin force to use its true power at its max

Thor and Zeus are not similarly scaled...you missed out on quite a lot and in fact how other entities and abstracts consider Zeus and Odin on par. Thor isn't even in the equation.
Odin needs the Odinforce to be equal to Zues. Keep that in mind.
Zeus will absolutely be killed by Gorr, early in the film most likely. They're going to do this to show the threat that Gorr is. It will be entirely akin to how they used Hulk as a punching bag for Thanos in Infinity War; simply to show his power and dominance. All in all, my main man, Hulk, gets shitted on once again lol. I only wish they'd bring a comic accurate Hulk to the big screen in terms of power scaling and fights. (Maybe one day we'll get some World Breaker action, but not likely.}

Hand to hand combat, Zeus wins, he’s stronger pound for pound. However Odin is an all around more skilled fighter with weapons. And if they’re on Asgard Odin takes it.
I think Odin is also a more powerful magician than Zeus.
Oh, I forgot. Odin to knocked out Galactus with a single punch. If i remember right. After that he had to go into the Odin Sleep for a long while. but he did it. So Odin is nothing to sneeze of when it comes to Hand to hand combat.
Odin is the strongest of the sky fathers odin can fight galactus. While zues cant without a power boost from the dark force

@@marketomega Sorry. Odin did not punch him. He headbutted Galactus into unconsciousness. But immediately afterwards he fell into the odinsleep.
Marvel mostly focused on Norse Mythology instead of Greek Mythology. Now by introducing Zeus they are shifting their focus towards the latter.

In mythology, Zeus is more powerful than Odin. In fact, there are very few deities in par with Zeus in the myths. In Norse myth, Odin is more like the Celtic wizard Merlin than Zeus.
@Кайл Read the myths - The abilities of Zeus are pretty much laid out throughout Greek-Roman myth whereas those of Odin are less defined and inconsistent from story to story -
According to the comic books Odin and Zeus are equals in terms of power display with few differences. The greek counterparts are immortals while the norse gods need to eat the golden apples of idunn to extend their meager 5000 year lifespan which I always thought was kind of silly... are they gods or not. Anyhoot, it will be interesting to see how much the MCU will adapt from the comics or change slightly to suit the storyline and plot mechanics in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
You all remember in Zack Snyder’s Zeus easily separated the mother boxes which took superman some time to do
that with victor stone help and you know that Superman beat Thor when they did fight so Zeus is likely stronger than any other gods in all movies

Zeus is so strong he flicked too hard not knowing his own strength.
Zeus and Odin are relatively equals until you factor in the Odin force which is the combined energy of Odin, his brother, Surtur.
In the comics, Odin also has a sword, armor, and a whole bunch of other weapons (Not to mention the Destroyer Armor.) that he can conjure up and call on.
And Zeus struck down Galactus with a lightning.
Something I remember from the comics is that "Asgardians grow stronger with time" as Thor says. When fighting Thanos, he used the time stone to age the Avengers literally into dust and rust (rip Tony), but when he turned the stone on Thor, aging him by theoretically infinite time, Thor just got so OP that he absolutely donkd on Thanos. Might be interesting to consider their ages, and whether or not the Greek pantheon has the same affect.
I just hope marvel and disney don’t scare up Gorr’s story and kill him off in the first film he appears in.

Maybe Thor and Zeus are equals because they both draw power from the same source? If they're both thunder and lightning gods. His enormous advantage over the Hulk could just show his ability to augment his own strength with his power over his elements. A product of his mastery of lightning, not his actual physical prowess. We've seen Thor augment his attacks with lightning and have a greater effect than hitting with his hands, so this is pretty constant, imo.
Most powerful god now would have to be knull. Yea he's not introduced yet but if gorr is welding a sword then it stands to reason that it's the Necro sword witch knull created

Actually in comics they are both matched even Thanos himself told Zeus that he is on the power level of odin and galactus.

Hulk in the Marvel Universe is scaled so back and forth. I mean Odin was to fall to Fenrir Grayback the giant wolf come Ragnarock but Hulk went toe to toe with the wolf just fine. However you said that Thanos most likely held off his attack due to not wanting to come into conflict with Odin being he would probably lose. However we see that Thanos just beat the hell out of Hulk and that was after he let Hulk beat on him several times. Thanos did not even use any infinity stones he just beat Hulk with his bare strength with ease. So I think its going to make Zeus more powerful than Odin or Possibly his equal who kinda now heads things being Odin is gone. Truly I think Zeus is just brought in as an extreme god with great power who will get slaughtered to show how badass Gorr is and that will be it. I hope they show more of Gorr's wrath. I remember when Thor found those butchered gods in the comics and how creepy it was to see what Gorr had done to them and these being gods just added to horro vibe. It was like "oh shit what or who the hell did this to gods?!?!" .

Odin > Zeus > Thor as of right now
I think Odin knows exactly what to do that bumps him up, Zeus is strong but Thor is right on his tail in terms of power. And Thor is currently the weakest of the three but has the most potential of all of them. If Thor was like Allfather Thor, then it wouldn’t even be a challenge.
Thor goes to Olympus to warn Zeus, Hercules and the other gods. They don’t believe it’s really Thor (cause somehow Jane is considered the real Thor now), then Gorr shows up and kills them.
We need a rematch of Hela vs current Thor
As neither Zeus or Thor actually existed beyond the realms of mythology, it seems a rather academic subject to discuss. If they did exist in real life then they would be stamped on in a moment by God if they tried to assume power over mankind

marvel zues is weak, DC zues with odin he was able to split the source and anti-life, The same reforced wall that was meant to hold the totality. He also has the power to unmake gods Which would include beings like ares, who has in the past killed high father. Are’s being compared to darkseid himself, Darkseid being powerfull enough to toss around the spectre’s equal without trying. The weakest version of the spectre, unbound spectre being able to one shot nabu, Nabu himself being strong enough to recreate creation after the events of zero hour. There’s more stuff to add to this, Like zeus being stronger than thor, Thor being stronger than odin.Odin being strong enough to create his own pocket ragnarok which had surtur in it, surtur being a threat to all of creation and was able to eat the spectre. Both dc’s odin and thor being stronger than their marvel counters, would be a decent fight

I think this has a Rocky III type plot where location matters, and Thor will get his ass kicked confronting Zeus on Mount Olympus but will learn from his mistakes and beat Zeus on a natural playing field and in the process Thor will realize that Zeus is not his enemy and will join forces to defeat Gorr the God Butcher but Zeus will dies giving Thor the strength and anger to defeat Gorr

Originaly, their power levels are based on their influence and believer. so yeah, zeus should be more powerful than odin, but that doesnt mean zeus is smarter.
the only reason i can think of why thor can fight zeus evenly is that thor is a soldier general while zues is a king.

First off, they say that Captain Marvel is the strongest Avenger, so then Captain Marvel is then stronger than Thor and she is either stronger than either Zeus or Odin and is on the level of Galactus or Infinity Gauntlet wielding Thanos. None of that was true in the comics but like they said, it all depends on the writer. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they make Valkyrie stronger than Thor.

The best way they can save the Thor franchise is to have Gorr savagely kill Jane Foster and Valkerie. Then have Thor avenge them using Milnor and Stormbreaker together.

Odin was a dead guy when he said Thor was stronger, and he was not in his prime physically as he was growing weaker because of his age. Plus he might have lied to give Thor confidence.
