Power scaling is such a pain in the a$$. And not sure how powerful Thor really is in the MCU. Once Odin died Thor got a boost. He just hadn't had a chance (in my opinion) to truly use and tap into his full potential. He's been in a mental trap since Infinity War and basically growing up in a new way. Even being 1500 years old.
Yh he still hasn’t used his new powers properly. Only for like 30seconds in infinity way. The only way I see Thor take no.1 place in the MsheU is if they adapt his heritage specifically his mother. Idk make phoenixe force his real mom. That paired with his asardian heritage should make him clap wanda. A lot of people forget that Odin agreed to having son with Phoenix force solely to have the strongest offspring in the universe
As Stan Lee said when it comes to "vs" it all depends on the writer...... same goes for anyone else doing a versus.... it all comes down to who they want to win so the discussion would swing to the character they want to win.
That’s kind of exactly what makes these types of videos so fun. The winner can really go either way and it’s really nice to hear other people reason out why they think one may win over the other.
Very true. That's how fiction works. People's opinions on others fictional ideas are just that, opinion. My opinion they are equal. Odin would have the edge in Asgard. Zues in Olympus.
Thor has never been Zeus's equal, Zeus has always been Odin's equal. And remember, post awakened Thor got his ass handed to him by Thanos more than once....
ODIN know more than both of them about power, fighting skill, magic, and weapons. So Zeus and Thor are yet to show they are even close to what Odin has in his arsenal of knowledge and skills. Odin has brutally conquered the whole universe with Hela, and Odin easily subdued Hela like a boss.
In the fight between Zeus and Thor, or at least one of them, It was clearly stated that Zeus was actually holding back, but was also not being gentle, as he really didn't want to start unnecessary beef with Odin. Personally, I think Zeus is physically stronger than Odin, and might even be more powerful, but I think Odin is much smarter and cunning than Zeus is. As for the MCU variants, I bet Odin is more powerful, but was clearly more limited by age.

@@justinian8104 Wait you have watched the movie? where did you get it. Also even if he can Gorr never went up against Odin. So no way to scale directly.
I see that you never read the comics and just go by forum posts and wikis. The Hulk he beat was at "normal" levels and the Galactus he beat was being controlled. Skyfathers aren't as powerful as Galactus. Read the comics next time instead of going the easy route. The Mighty Thor #5 shows that Odin can't beat Galactus. Even one that hasn't fed on a world with a living soul. Doesn't matter that Odin was woken up from Odinsleep too early. Galactus can also take on four Celestials. Odin can't even beat one.
Do you REALLY think Thor is equal to Zeus...a SKYFATHER equal to Odin????? Just stop it, and even Marvel writers have said the comics showing Thor to be able to almost equal Zeus were horrible, and it was also said that Zeus was taking it easy on Thor since he respected Odin. @@HobbsterTheLobster23 I believe he has the Odinfirce, but doesn't know how to use it, and he is still young age wise compared to Zeus; thus, he SHOULD be significantly less powerful still, but I'm sure they will scale down Zeus' powers in order to make Thor greater than him. Again, in the comics, regular Thor pales in comparison to Odin and Zeus.
Hercules stomped an amped Zeus after he became a Skyfather himself. Zeus in marvel is stated to use magic to enhance his strength with date books listing his natural strength as LOWER than Hercules. Hercules has far more potential in raw strength, like Thor has far more potential than Odin Also Hercules breast feeding from Hera gave him full god strength from the start,he beat Ares as a demigod, wrestled Zeus to a stalemate, broke adamantine which Zeus couldnt break. Zeus is far more powerful but Hercules is naturally stronger
@@REALFIGURES-tj7fl Hercules was "Chaos King Hercules" if I remember correctly, so that would make him more powerful than even an amped Zeus, so you can't really count that. Also, you are correct that Hercules is the "strongest" Olympian, but Zeus can increase his strength for a bit to match Hercules, but is vastly more powerful, thus the reason "regular" Hercules cannot beat his father.
You all remember in Zack Snyder’s Zeus easily separated the mother boxes which took superman some time to do that with victor stone help and you know that Superman beat Thor when they did fight so Zeus is likely stronger than any other gods in all movies
you have to include odin having to recharge with the odin force and him also being long lived and not immortal, now also factor in zeus immortality. its like you said its up to the writers. writers find odin more writable than zeus. zeus has way more power and abilities that have not been shown in the comics.
But that’s like saying Odin May have more power than hasn’t been shown in the comics? Zeus is immortal not invincible and Odin is far older, thor gave Zeus a good fight before they held a truce and thor was battered by Odin in every fight up to that point for comparison
@@craigjenkins7035 exactly. since comics are the only "real" telltale of abilities, odin has the odinforce. and we've seen what happens when thor gets it. zeus and odin both have the "normal" powers of godly beings- super strength and endurance, and control of their own molecules. as long as the asguardians keep eating the golden apples, they are pretty much immortal. as for odin being older, the norse people didnt get created IRL until a thousand years or more AFTER people settled in greece. leaving this to the writers is just dumb. the next writer could just have magneto kill off the greek pantheon. but most of us will know that that was just crap writing.
For comics Zeus, odin and vishnu are equal force Thor did face zeus However zeus was holding back at a certain level He didn't want a direct conflict with odin And he was testing thor and thor was hanging on pretty well But zeus was not going max power on him Real Mythology Zeus can solo Odin, thor and loki by himself (Okay technically ares and athena were by his side) But he can take on all three if he want May be it is also a way for the romans to say to the northerns That their Olympic gods were far more stronger than the Nordic gods
Given that there is a “god killer” in the movie I think it’s pretty likely that and Zeus is while powerful is probably not in his prime. End result Zeus will be dead or close to it after encountering him.

If Marvel does Zeus wrong they're idiots. He should be every bit as wise and powerful as they portrayed Odin. If not more so, everyone has heard of Zeus. His Mythology is rich and much more compelling than Norse mythology. I've read both Norse and Greek myth and Zeus is far more celebrated by far more people. The Roman's even called him Jupiter and we assigned the largest planet in our own solar system after him.
Hand to hand combat, Zeus wins, he’s stronger pound for pound. However Odin is an all around more skilled fighter with weapons. And if they’re on Asgard Odin takes it.
Oh, I forgot. Odin to knocked out Galactus with a single punch. If i remember right. After that he had to go into the Odin Sleep for a long while. but he did it. So Odin is nothing to sneeze of when it comes to Hand to hand combat.
Does Marvel or DC ever stick to power scaling? After TOAA, scaling goes out the window. It's up to the writer(s) of each individual character at the time.
Marvel and DC never really stick to powerscaling except for obvious things like Superman being stronger then Bat-Man and such. If you look beyond the plot induced stupidity and outliers, then comics are pretty consistent (not because of the writers but the editors),
Thor and Zeus are not similarly scaled...you missed out on quite a lot and in fact how other entities and abstracts consider Zeus and Odin on par. Thor isn't even in the equation.
great speculative vid; please put spoiler of the new thor movie in the title though, I had no idea Zeus made an appearance in it and that would have been a great surprise :(
In mythology, Zeus is more powerful than Odin. In fact, there are very few deities in par with Zeus in the myths. In Norse myth, Odin is more like the Celtic wizard Merlin than Zeus.
@Кайл Read the myths - The abilities of Zeus are pretty much laid out throughout Greek-Roman myth whereas those of Odin are less defined and inconsistent from story to story -
I think we still haven't seen the final form of Gorr yet. The more gods & goddess he kills the more powerful and his body will keep changing though out the movie until he looks the the comic book character.
In the comics, Odin also has a sword, armor, and a whole bunch of other weapons (Not to mention the Destroyer Armor.) that he can conjure up and call on.
Odin actually 3 times more powerful than zeus he is God of wisdom one of the most intelligent and powerful character in marvel universe who beat eternal flame surtur , hela , frost giants it's made him much more stronger than zeus in comics Odin enough to destroy universe but zeus shown only solar system blaster character

@@hydrolito He still canonically wrestled with Cronos and won.The prochesy itself said Zeus would be stronger than his father.Physically its indicated Hercules slightly surpasses him but Zeus is still FAR more powerful due to his lightning, thunderbolts and other powers Hercules lacks.
It's funny how this people compare Odin to Zeus, I don't know they know anything about the real Zeus. The guy can do anything he wants, anything, unlike Odin that only fight without having more impossible abilities. Zeus can just alter reality and can make anything happen
I'd say that Odin and Zeus are closely matched with Zeus being slightly more "powerful" and somewhat stronger. Zeus' strength has been shown to be just under his son's, Hercules, who is a match for Thor. But it's not always strength that wins a fight. In that regard I'd say the Odin and Zeus are pretty much evenly matched, with whomever gets "lucky" and/or out smarts the other. My money's on Zeus.
Most powerful god now would have to be knull. Yea he's not introduced yet but if gorr is welding a sword then it stands to reason that it's the Necro sword witch knull created
Stormbreaker doesnt increase Thors physical stats at all,its just a strong weapon and will never count as Thors power, many of you will disagree but i dont care. As for Thor its stated he will be stronger than ever in this film,i think that applies even after his training montage and that he will unlock his full potential at the end of the film that being stronger than Odin. He definetly did not surpass Odin in Ragnarok, first of Odin was talking about his full potential which Thor was only starting to tap in to and he was talking stronger as a PERSON to counter Thor considering physical might the important one. In the comic fight between Zeus and Thor Zeus was simply toying with him and was seen effortlessly overpowering him several times. He has nearly ACCIDENTALLY killed Hercules who is physically equal to Thor,he beat down Green Scar who is FAR stronger than Base Thor and it was stated he could have vaporized Green Scar in one bolt if he really wanted to. Zeus in the comics is absolutely always portrayed and stated equal to Odin. Norse Gods growing stronger with age indefinitely is...a myth. Its true in some universes(like the animated one where Old Thor fought Thanos) but its rarely presented as such. They can increase their powers and get new ones but they dont just get stronger by aging itself. Odin in the MCU is presented as very powerful but propably past his prime which was propably against Surtur. We cant tell how strong Zeus will be in the film,it does look like he will be a joke but it may just ne his personality,Odin himself didnt look huge or muscular like in the comics either. And you have to consider something its RUSSEL CROWE,the guy is always portrayed as a total badass, they even had him kick GENERAL Zods ass even though he was playing a mere scientist. Its obvious he will die but i think he will still be very powerful.Equal to Odin like in the comics? We will have to see So yeah a terrible video(like, impressively bad) and had to debunk every single "point" in it
What about the scene were zeus has thor bound by 2 golden chains. So thor with stormbreaker and the odin force still got taken prison and held in chains by zeus wouldn't that dictate that in the mcu zeus is stronger?
Well, Dormamo stated that Zeus and Odin were equals in terms of Power. However, I believe that Odin took the time to be more cunning as he was prophesied to die and Zeus has been said to never “fall to death”. However I also think Zeus will somehow get murdered for no actual reason other then a laugh, like if he died eating a boat and choked on it.

Zeus will absolutely be killed by Gorr, early in the film most likely. They're going to do this to show the threat that Gorr is. It will be entirely akin to how they used Hulk as a punching bag for Thanos in Infinity War; simply to show his power and dominance. All in all, my main man, Hulk, gets shitted on once again lol. I only wish they'd bring a comic accurate Hulk to the big screen in terms of power scaling and fights. (Maybe one day we'll get some World Breaker action, but not likely.}
From what we've seen in the trailer and based on what we've seen from Waititi and his handling of characters in Thor 3, I think we can assume that Zeus will be a joke and easily be defeated by Gorr. Also, I think we'll see a lot of female empowerment in the movie, Valkyrie (who's even seen to battle Gorr with Zeus' lightningbolt) and/or "female Thor" (claiming that it is her first bad guy, probably talking about Gorr as I don't see a reason why she should talk about Zeus oder another character from the Greek pantheon) finally be the characters to beat Gorr.
Well,Thor has been said to be the most powerful god in the Comics once he inherits the Odinforce as the version of Odinforce he inherits also includes Odin's own power too. so other than the fact he's used to fighting alongside mortals and holding back,i think Thor is atill the most powerful god there is. Also,he now has the ability to channel his elder god powers at will as seen in the current Thor comic which would make him atleast a lower-mid tier elder god in power n that would still put him way above Zeus and Odin. In the MCU though,i hope they introduce the Odinforce. Would be fun to see Thor alter his size like Khonshu did in MoonKnight and trying to fight off a celestial 🙃
I read somewhere that what was called the Odins power is the complete power of Odin and all the earlier kings of Asgard. So when His father Borr died, Odin inherited the Borr power and so on. If Thor gets the Odins Power he will be insanely powerful. just with his own power, he was one of the most powerful asgardians. And when he inherits the combined power of all of Asgards kings, that will be increased by an unfathomable amount.
@@palmarolavlklingholm9684 The Odinforce has a spark from Bor,Buri and Ymir but it's mostly the lifeforce of Odin's two brothers merged into Odin after they sacrificed themselves so Odin could defeat Surtur. Your emphasis on Thor's power reminds me of the comics in which Thor defeated Ego, then saved Ego's life by draining Galactus' power and sending him into flight for his life. The problem with such prodigious power levels is that it becomes very difficult to create challenges that make for interesting stories. Superman has had that problem.
@@jeffthompson9622 Yea,i understand that but then again there are characters that shouldn't be a challenge for someone like Thor given all his other unique powers but he seem to just play around until it's too late then he tries to go all out. That's why i love Amora cos she always either takes away his Asgardian physiology, attack Yggdrasil to weaken him or just go for mind games.
Exactly after Odin died Thor didgeridoo stronger we just haven't seen him use his other powers

It's sad that he's probably gonna die. It would be interesting to see Greek Mythology in the MCU
The Mighty Thor #5 shows that Odin can't beat Galactus. Even one that hasn't fed on a world with a living soul. Doesn't matter that Odin was woken up from Odinsleep too early. Galactus can also take on four Celestials. Odin can't even beat one.

Hercules stomped an amped Zeus after he became a Skyfather himself.
Zeus in marvel is stated to use magic to enhance his strength with date books listing his natural strength as LOWER than Hercules.
Hercules has far more potential in raw strength, like Thor has far more potential than Odin

If Marvel does Zeus wrong they're idiots. He should be every bit as wise and powerful as they portrayed Odin. If not more so, everyone has heard of Zeus.

@Кайл Read the myths - The abilities of Zeus are pretty much laid out throughout Greek-Roman myth whereas those of Odin are less defined and inconsistent from story to story -

We will have to see

Well, Dormamo stated that Zeus and Odin were equals in terms of Power.
However, I believe that Odin took the time to be more cunning as he was prophesied to die and Zeus has been said to never “fall to death”.

Zeus will absolutely be killed by Gorr, early in the film most likely. They're going to do this to show the threat that Gorr is. It will be entirely akin to how they used Hulk as a punching bag for Thanos in Infinity War; simply to show his power and dominance. All in all, my main man, Hulk, gets shitted on once again lol. I only wish they'd bring a comic accurate Hulk to the big screen in terms of power scaling and fights. (Maybe one day we'll get some World Breaker action, but not likely.}
I zeus am the strongest ⚡
I bet Zeus is the antithesis of Odin but as powerful in every way.
Very lame If this is the case
Odin is supreme, he is the God of Wisdom. He can outclass any mind!
So yea,you are right. Thor is already the most powerful god without the Odinforce but with the complete Odinforce ,he's close to Cosmic level in power but problem i have is that writers always tend to limit him then later just say he's holding back
Your emphasis on Thor's power reminds me of the comics in which Thor defeated Ego, then saved Ego's life by draining Galactus' power and sending him into flight for his life.
I think they should write him well, either create a limiter in specific fights for him or introduce a distraction... That's why i love Amora cos she always either takes away his Asgardian physiology, attack Yggdrasil to weaken him or just go for mind games. These things make sense in a storyline as he'd obviously want to drag out the fight to get her to undo what she did but for most others,he should almost always one-shot most villains even when he's holding back
@@MDComicsthrilzz Yes. But I think a Rune King Thor level Thor wouldn't work well on the big screen. He would be too powerful. he wouldn't even need the infinity stones to snap away a galaxy. Or create one. No one could even hurt him.

I mean,Asgardians grow in power with age and Hela is way older than Thor, not sure what would happen if to Thor´s "I am not as strong as you." Odin would simply replay like "Unfortunately, about this you are right."
Thor has not surpassed Odin or Zeus, asgardians get stronger with age, it’s possible for it to happen. But Odin slaps the head of Zeus 99 times out of 100
I doubt it because if you wanna bring up comics, Zeus is a skyfather level being along with Odin and Odin has specifically stated that Zeus was equal in power to himself. MCU Zeus might be on the same level as MCU Odin.
Yeah, Thor isn't gonna be "God-King of a Pantheon" levels of OP till much later tbh. I hate how people are all seeing Zeus as just some gimmick. If Gorr kills him with no effort, or if Thor fights him and gives him any kind of major trouble whatsoever... I'll he disappointed.

Feels like we may see a Gorr vs zeus battle in the movie
Odin would beat Zeus easily Zeus would have to actually put more effort to beat Thor Odin and put Thor down in seconds.
STOP IT! Odin and Zeus are both skyfathers and thus equal--Thor and Hercules are peers and thus equals, so no, Odin doesn't beat Zeus "easily." Hercules beat up on Thor in the series "Blood Oath," and Herc has never beaten his father, so it stands to reason Thor cannot beat Zeus as well.
Zeus doesn't need to eat apples and sleep for a month each year to be immortal
@@thebeast9606 odin stomps zeus wym equal lmfao. thor and hercules are not equals, base thor scales below base herc. the only time thor scales above him is when hes amped like ckt or rkt
@@bhnjmk8898 no, you are wrong if ypu think Hercules could ever beat Thor. Maybe 1 out of 10 but Hercules has no magic, can't fly and is a demi god. Sorry but Thor destroys him high difficulty.
@@bryantfields2410 base thor barely scales above planetary and hes slow af fym
6:33 when was this?
For me personally I hate how goofy he is. But it’s a Thor MCU movie so I’ll let it slide since that’s what made thor great. I didn’t really care for him till thor 3 so.
Nah Thor 3 was shit, MCU Thor Odinson was gr8t in Thor 1, only
I like your explanation bro
My guess is that Odin is most powerful. The ancient Egyption gods ruled first, but were overpowered by the Greek gods, who in turn were conquered by the Norse gods. Hence the chronological explanation in irl timeline. The Egyption gods probably don't want to expose themselves not to humans, but to other myth gods.
Unless Marvel has done some serious retconning, the Heliopolitians (Egyptian gods.) dwafed the Asgardians and Olympians in power and chose to deal themselves away from the mortal world because they could so easily destroy it. I mean Ra's dark aspect IS the god eater.

Reeeally???? No!!! Get your studies right bro!!! Forget this portrayal Zeus and imagine the one displayed in the clash of the Titans movie. Thor would seem like a shrimp compared to Zeus and the Greek gods, in myth Thor might have some problems dealing with Hades, a god Zeus himself banished. There is no comparisons with Zeus, for Greek myth is even richer and better than Norse, that’s a fact, I know, I created my own universe inspired by Greek myth. I had to leave it due to beliefs and convictions, but it’s true.
Zeus and Odin are relatively equals until you factor in the Odin force which is the combined energy of Odin, his brother, Surtur.
Jesus the most powerful
And yet they have made Jane Foster seem more Thor than the actual Thor Odinson ... Welcome to the M-she-U!!!!
I wonder if the MCU will ever make Rune king thor or the black winter arc movies? Flip those would be epic man.
Very interesting indeed.
Thor’s strength belt was mentioned in one of the Spider-man movies but yet it hasn’t appeared in any movie. I wonder if it will ever surface. Could have used it against Thanos
you know what is screen power, well it's that I have watched the trailer few times but not even once bother to see who is beside Russel crowe and how beautiful they are. just now I noticed them. that's called screen presence.
Zeus is a power God in myth , Odin is a trickster/wisdom God. Thor was the brute strength for the Norse like Hercules for the Greeks. A better Odin adversary would be Athena.
I will lose it if they kill zeus
I love greek mythology and i will lose it if they kill him
I thought the first pic you showed of Zues was
grizzly adams , not Russel Crowe
I want to see knull he has to be in this in some form.
This is a great chance to interduce Heracles in the MCU
Do you think the mcu will ever introduce any of the Tuatha de Danaan? They were both enemies and allies of the Asgardians as well.
gotta love Zeus's "T" shirt tan
Odin was always the big dog all father but because it's a newer movie they making zues look formidable too which he is
