    i thought once i registered for hostgator baby plan that i would get unlimited domains meaning that i would not have to register and pay again for another domain name. this sucks

    • @moemenshahawy
      @moemenshahawy 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      that would mean you'd register unlimited domain names, which could mean virtually owning all names there is for a baby plan price? ha

    So basically it doesnt matter what ur original domain name is.

    I have just signed up for Hostgate to host my website - they have taken my money and will not set up my account until I send them a copy of my passport, photo ID and copy of my credit card through which I made my payment. I am new to online business so is this a standard practice??? I have emailed them with my concerns but so far no reply. I am concerned why they would need this info and what they plan to do with it - I receive scam emails from Nigeria that ask for less info. Your comments would be helpful

      you should check with hostgator about it. I think its a common practice nowadays to ask for ID whenever an account is opened which involves deposit of money to ensure no money laundering activities are involved.

      Terrence that is all good they just just want to verify that you are the right person. Just follow the instruction and you are all good to go.

      Hi Terrence,
      I know it's been 3 months, but this video is for HostGator, not Hostgate. They are both Web hosting services. HostGator does not ask for those things when you sign up, and it's pretty easy...

      ***** You are wrong, hostgator do asks about the information Terrence Connelly wrote, the reason that you did not complete your full resident address... I registered with them 4 days ago now.... it was the same information the sent to me via e-mail.... all you have to do is buzz them a call and they will happily reset your account for you in less than 20 munites...here is my sites with them africanvister.com.......... thank you I hope this hekps

      Alfred Snail No Alfred, you are wrong. I had no problems with HostGator, and they did not ask me for passport information with payment. Perhaps Hostgate, which is a different Web host, that Terrence used, asks for this information, but HostGATOR does not. HostGator is very easy to use. Thanks, and I hope you understand the difference now.
