    2 life-changing tricks are buying satin pillows on amazon ($12) and drying your hair with an old t shirt and not your towel it has really changed my hair game and I only get frizzy hair sometimes

    One tipp I do everytime and I feel like it helps is to have the final rinse with very cold water to "close" the hair. So I just shower regular but at the very end I rinse my hair with maybe 25°C cold water and I think it helps.

    My favorite life-changing hack for wavy or curly hair: use gel or mousse and let it dry crunchy (hear me out). Once it's 100% dry, give it a good hard scrunch, using oil if you need to. It's called "scrunch out the crunch" and it leaves perfect definition and hold but it isn't crunchy or wet looking!

    Something that has helped me reduce split ends (and thus frizz) is wearing my hair braided when I go to sleep at night. It prevents tangling and also keeps it cleaner longer.

    If you are wavy/curly try Devacurl, best hair products I have ever tried, curly girl method approved. For my conditioner I turn the shower off, apply the conditioner to very damp hair but not sopping wet hair,, scrunch it in and twist it down the hair towards the ends which also scrunches out the water and excess product. No silicones so no need to rinse, this method makes any silicone free conditioner a conditioner and leave in product in one. Also I'm a firm believer in brushing hair before showering. I brush out all the tangles, do two loose plaits on each side to calm down the frizz while I get the water warm and then take the plaits out and jump in. My hair breakage when it's wet was awful even with conditioner/detangler in there and trust me you do not want to have to clean out your drain all the time! I love applying oil as well, really helps when you're due for haircut but just need to pull through that extra week waiting for your appointment.

    With my fine curly hair, I find applying a leave in conditioner on mid shift to ends and one pump of argon oil on my ends is my best "weapon" to fight frizz! Additionally, I recommend weekly deep conditioning/overnight oil treatments before wash day/at home protein masks to really keep my curls defined, even though I get highlights

  • @LeeLeeBellePBJLee
    @LeeLeeBellePBJLee 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love Shea Moisture! I really love the Fruit Fusion shampoo and creme rinse.
    I ditched sulfates and non-water-soluble silicones and my hair is so much better! One thing people need to watch out for is continuing to use non-water-soluble silicones but ditching sulfates, you can't do that or the silicone will just build up on the hair and be gross, it is both or neither.
    I also cut out heat styling since my grandma taught me how to pincurl, I have been doing that every night now, even if my hair is dry I'll still pin it up, spritz it with a little water, tie a handkerchief around it and go to bed. Takes me so much less time in the morning to get my hair done. That being said, my hair always looks vintage now, which I am 10000% OK with but others may not be into that aesthetic.

    I have a spray-in oil. I spray it on my brush then brush it thought my hair. I have long, wavy/curly hair (to my bum) and I find I get much more even coverage doing it this way as opposed to using my fingers. I know I probably shouldn't do this but....I go to bed with damp hair (I wash my hair every 2-3 days at night since it takes so long to wash) and when its damp, I tie it in a loose bun on top of my head using only bobby pins. It keeps my hair out of my face and it gives volume. However, it doesn't control the frizz.....I'm gong to buy a silk pillow case - hope this will work! :) Thanks Kayley! ♥

    My frizz control shampoo routine is to use a sulphate-free shampoo soap bar (containing neem oil as I have a sensitive scalp), an apple cider vinegar rinse, using cool water to rinse, and when my hair is slightly damp apply balm (containing sweet almond oil, castor oil and beewax) to ends of hair. No heat treatment, air drying or soft towel.
    The hair system works just as good, or better, as any fancy moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
    If you are based in NZ check out Totally Balmy, that company makes good natural products.

    I have naturally curly/wavy hair and I like to rinse my hair with cold water at the end of my shower. This seals the cuticle, locks in the treatment I've been using, prevents color fading and leaves my hair silky soft and frizz-free. I also use the same trick with the blowdryer. Cold air work wonders aswell. (:

  • @amixeblu
    @amixeblu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have wavy/curly almost classic (bum) length hair, and I mainly "tame" my frizz by styling properly. I use the LOC/LCO method for styling, which means I layer a leave-in or curl cream with some gel and a serum. I don't use a lot of product, as I have a looser texture, tight curls need a lot of product. I use the very same products, I just use *far* *far* less of them.

    • @amixeblu
      @amixeblu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Meriem Chennit, I don't know about you, but I need product in my hair. I use the LOC/LCO method, but don't use a lot of each layer. About a coin size of leave-in or curl cream, about a coin size of gel, and about a coin size of serum; layered, and it works *really* really well for me.

    For anyone else who's in the UK I'm loving Boucleme's products, my hair has never been shiner or less frizzy. I have a very large loose curl/wave pattern so for much of my life my hair was more Hermione Granger bushy than identifiably curly/wavy. The other thing that's really helped define my curls is to change the way I use my turbie twist. Rather than flipping my head over and twisting my hair into the tail of the towel I put it down on a surface and lower the top of my head on to it before tying it up so my curls are piled on top of my head (I think it's called plopping).

    Yay! Thanks for the video! I sleep with a satin pillow case and use an old tshirt and noticed a major difference with my frizz. Another tip to help with frizzy hair. Be warned I am saying this from the perspective of a naturally curly haired person. But if your hair starts to frizz up and lose definition getting your hair wet, even if it's just sprinting it with a spray bottle a few times really helps to revitalize it and reactivate the product.

    Hi Kayley I love this video. I tend to let my hair air dry after washing. I do use a live in conditioner and argan oil which work on taking frizz and keeping my hair shiny and smooth. Onces a week I do a coconut mask and I focus on my ends and scalp since my scalp tends to feel dry. I use all natural, organic, sulfate parabens free hair products on my hair. I would love to see a video of you trying some natural/organic hair care soon. Thanks for the video can't wait for the next one.

    A good tip if you're not worried about volume: after putting conditioner in your hair, part it and comb it the way you want your hair. It sort of locks the curls and also way less frizz. It works for me. When towle drying, just wrap your hair (no mussing up the hair).

    My hair is very straight and fine, but my ends are not really frizzy, it's around my roots that gets super frizzy! I do have a lot of baby hairs, do you have any suggestions on how to get those to lay down without losing any volume?

    That doggie is simply adorable!!
    I tried herbal essences and loved how voluminous and clean my hair was but the multiple sulfates in it made my scalp break out :-( if your scalp tolerates these, I highly recommend the micellair water one

    any tips on flyaways and baby hair regrowth. I have thick wavy frizzy hair that the hairstylist thinned way to much and it's now a horrendous! Plus the fly always- it's a mass of frizz x even when braiding the frizz sticks out 😓😔😓😔

    I have want curly hair, and i only ever had frizz if I comb it out. Once I stopped using shampoo and conditioner (coconut oil), and products in my hair (which I haven't used in a few years), I don't have any frizz. I air dry my hair, I don't really comb my hair either, and if I do I use my fingers. Honestly, my hair has never looked and felt better 😊
