Hey I am 72 years old and have been drinking coffee since I was 14 years old and and worked two fulltime job for 37 years with no more than 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night and I had a coffee machine at each job and drank it day and night and I also kept an extra coffee machine in my car in case one of the coffee machines quit working. When I go to Las Vegas NV for vacation I bring my own coffee machine and coffee. If I fly I check the coffee machine in. My son and daughter both drink slot of coffee. My son's father called him a coffee bean like me. I have always drank my coffee black. I love the taste of coffee black.
When I learned coffee was recommended for people with end stage kidney disease and that it aids the liver in its functions I knew all the demonization it has received was contextual! Adding dairy(wreaks havoc in one’s stomach) sugars and additives, growing practices ,origins and mold content , brewing methods and filtering, time of day consumed, etc,and finally one’s own metabolism. Contexts often outweighing contents! Thank you for this informative content!
Thank you! so much! I can go without food 23 hours on a daily basis, but not without ☕ And coffee reducing risk of liver cancer is consistent with the fact that Gerson's therapy uses it for liver cleanse.
I am from East Africa, Ethiopia. Since childhood, we have been drinking coffee with our mothers. Maybe more than 2 cups a day for adults & kids one cup a day. It's a common beverage for all ages & I think it's a good place to do research on cancer. Coffee originated in Ethiopia, then to the Middle East & then to Europe. Even though it was controversial in Muslim communities & it was banned for a while & lad to riots then approved by religious leaders.
My parents allowed us children to have coffee so l started at 8. I actually had a friend and relationship with a coffee bean importer😅 so ended up with a variety of coffee makers and bean blends. Every day , I drink 1-2 cups of coffee . Organic , black with half a teaspoon of organic unclarified honey. I have it with organic raw nuts, a piece of organic black chocolate minimum 70% - mint, orange oil, etc. To counteract the high oxalates of all the above, l eat some organic goat and sheep cheeses. If soft cheese, I add sesame seeds. I rarely eat bread or crackers so have cheeses in salads or eat pieces.

Hello, and thanks for your kind comments. We appreciate them so much! If you were concerned about the caffeine as Dr. Moss discussed, there are many other properties in coffee that have value and so decaffeinated coffee is also helpful.
Love the way you show the "Studies" and data backing what is presented. Especially the Meta Analysis. Credibility of what is presented on YT is all that matters.... Too many are just ignorant opinions with NO data or documented proof. Glad you have stepped up the normal YT sources. Well Done! I do find it Curious that Moss son did not know that "Dad" had been to Fudan University in Shanghai for research...
What a relief! I heard some time ago that studies showed a marked decrease in Alzheimer type dementia among regular coffee drinkers compared to people who abstain from coffee. Wonderful to hear chicory root has inulin to feed the gut bacteria, but does it also help with producing a mucosal layer in the large bowel and be protective from leaky gut also?
Chicory is also a powerful diuretic and was used during WW1[& or WW2] to reduce the amount of coffee needed to satisfy the taste buds. There are 2 companies that grind chicory into their coffee which are in the south. New Orleans style coffee. Cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon full daily helps to control blood sugar. Another coffee add in is cardamom which I find very good. [I wonder if that has any health benefits?] Also another thing to keep in mind is your coffee should always be organic. Coffee that is not organic can be laced with significant toxins from herbicides and pesticides!

@@bwaldners Nice thought however I do no believe that unless I see the really good rock solid science on this idea I will continue with organic coffee. We are living in times that are so corrupt that it is hard to even trust a study & it's credibility! 🤔😇
As always, thank you for an interesting and informative discussion. My question is this: does the meta study (or any of it’s data components) take into account the heavy use of pesticides on coffee crops? Was there any distinction between the health benefits of organically grown coffee and coffee grown with pesticides?
Certainly, it may vary with technique and variety of coffee, but one more thing to consider: The darker the roast, the less caffeine; AND, the more flavor!!! Talk about a Win/Win 😋
I'm a coffee lover , I have a bean to cup machine ,drink no more than 3 cups daily. I use lactose free milk , pure coconut mlik and organic beans . I've heard that coffee beans can be sprayed with insecticides !
Some people think its bad news... I think where you get it , how its produced, how its prepared are all factors. It has a very interesting history though.
YES thank you and I am so glad that you made the sane switch to ORGANIC only and I did the same. After much research on the subject, I finally came to my good health senses. The FDA is not our friends and later I will cover why this is.
I am very happy that I can consume a lovely cup of organic produced coffee every day for only 2 euro a month! Whereas you live closer to the coffee producing countries, as I live in the Netherlands, and I think no one in the USA can purchase coffee from the best quality for that price. Your government puts taxes on organic products where here in Europe these products are soo cheap. You are being fooled sadly. Everyone should have accces to good products for improving their health❤

The folks in my local health food store say the coumarin in cinnamon is carcinogenic, and Google’s Bard agrees. Is that true or are they confusing carcinogenic properties with blood thinning properties?
Dear Dr. Moss and son Ben I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish your youtube video information on coffee and especially your coffee recipe that is similar to my own version enjoyed for decades of my life I am nearing the young age of only 70 years. Similar to your coffee recipe that is not overheated my recipe looks like this. And is altered every morning for immune system support as follows. Note that ingredients are ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ORGANIC throughout. In my glass or stainless steel saucepan of one quart of charcoal-filtered low-heated rainwater water, I add the following. A- One level or less teaspoon of organic coffee preground dry milled coffee beans from my electric blender cup. B- Add the same amount of dark 100 percent Cacoa organic beans dry milled the same way C- Add loose or powdered organic matcha green tea. D-The following organic dry herb powders are added as Cylon Cinnamon, Turmeric Ginger with Black Pepper, Rosemary herb, etc. E-To sweeten to taste options are watered down in your blender fresh pineapple ( digestive enzymes -Thai tamarind fruit paste, Dry milled Stevia Leaf, or one processed date from your blender unit. These options are only to be used to transition your immune system away from WHITE DEATH GLUCOSE SPIKING REFINED GMO HIDDEN SUGAR that most Americans are addicted to and so sad to say is all FDA Fraud and Death Administration approved. It is sad but so True Today. F- To taste add good fat to your coffee as spices like Turmeric can use a good supporting source of healthy safe fat to make the spice carried into your body with much more efficacy for example. Organic Coconut milk or paste. ( I use cultured fermented organic coconut bought at my Villa Market on Phuket island where I live ) I have experienced great results with grass-finished organic butter and kefir yogurt from grass-finished goats that I have direct access to from the organic farm located at the north end of Phuket Thailand. Simply experiment and mix and match your organic green coffee to your desire of good health and good taste. Your coffee will be taking on a whole new culinary experience after doing this that may just bring an ear-to-ear smile to your face. Try it out and you may be pleasantly surprised. Just make an effort to buy organic the farmers would appreciate your consumer support of their business as well. Hello Moss family. I need to say that you guys are covering a whole food lot of good research on the relationship between a rightful lifestyle and organic wholesome foods to stay healthy with supported immune systems to achieve homeostasis of mind body and one constitution working with personal epi-genetics of the individual. Our good information link here found at www.youtube.com/@TheMossReport And your good information video on coffee at this link is here for my g mail followers to watch and listen into th-cam.com/video/p0VZEFFiSJU/w-d-xo.html for mutual support between our 2 natural health research parties. The Good Earth Chef Barry Anderson is sharing his research on coffee at the following links www.flickr.com/photos/54619340@N07/16086136863/ Is Coffee Poison to the Human Body? Is drinking hot coffee poison to the human body? Article Part 1 of 2 1-Coffee is Addictive? 2-A Poison? 3- Causes Cancer in Humans? 4- And what the Coffee industry does not want you to know about is covered in this article? First, let's define what a poison is as described by the online dictionary Wikipedia Fact -1 Poisons are substances that cause disturbances to organisms usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism such as the human body. Coffee reduces the risk of diabetes in humans? In the same report, it goes on to say the following comment. Drinking four cups of coffee every day can decrease a woman's risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by more than half, according to a new study. THIS FINDING IS HUGE AS SCIENCE KNOWS THAT PEOPLE WITH NO DIABETES OR INSULIN RESISTANCE HAVE A MUCH LOWER RISK OF BEING DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER. But on the flip slide of the research coin Green Matcha Tea showed protective effects on the brain, too. Tea drinkers did better on tests on memory and information processing than non-tea drinkers did, according to a 2010 study of 716 Chinese adults 55 and older in the Journal of Nutrition, Health, and Aging. Researched Article 2 of 2 on www.flickr.com/photos/54619340@N07/16172639964/ Is drinking hot coffee poison to the human body? Fact 1- Did you know that the coffee industry uses EPA Environmental protection agency banned chemicals on the world's supply of coffee production crops in many cases outside of the continental US? Yes, Americans are drinking banned chemicals in their coffee. Fact -2 Because coffee is one of the most pesticide and herbicide-ridden cash crops on planet Earth it is in your best health interest to buy Organic Coffee only with the higher price sticker. After all, it is your body and your health is it not? And you have a given right to know what our Food Supply Industry is doing to the foods that you put into your body! Yes? “Even for some individuals like myself hot coffee causes my heart to palpate abnormally due to the high caffeine that acts like a drug in the human body. “ Hot Coffee in the heating process has created a carcinogenic compound called Acrylamide that even the FDA has a website admitting to this and that hot coffee and grain products cause cancer in humans. Acrylamide is a chemical that can form in some foods during high-temperature cooking processes, such as frying, roasting, and baking. Acrylamide in food forms from sugars and amino acids that are naturally present in food; it does not come from food packaging or the environment. Other sources of Acrylamide are found for use in products such as plastics, grouts, water treatment products, and cosmetics. Acrylamide is also found in cigarette smoke. French fries and potato chips), coffee, and foods made from grains (such as breakfast cereal, cookies, and toast). These foods are often part of a regular diet. But if you want to lower acrylamide intake, reducing your intake of these foods is one way to do so. Acrylamide forms in coffee when coffee beans are roasted, not when coffee is brewed at home or in a restaurant. So far, scientists have not found good ways to reduce acrylamide formation in coffee. Although studies in rodent models suggest that acrylamide is a potential carcinogen, additional epidemiological studies are needed to help determine any effects of dietary acrylamide intake on human cancer risk. Baked dairy chocolate has acrylamide and raw dark cacao does not. Raw foods do not have this chemical compound and support your production of the master mother of all antioxidants in your body called Glutathione which protects you from the acrylamide exposure of overcooked foods. And here is the FDA website of resources to go to for seeing for yourself at the link www.fda.gov/food/foodborneillnesscontaminants/chemicalcon... The big question of Holistic Chef Barry as a consumer advocate is that the FDA knows that hot coffee may cause Cancer in Humans right? So why is the FDA Food and Drug Administration still allowing humans to continue to drink this potentially cancer-causing beverage in the first place without warnings on the label like they are now using on cigarette packages? And why does the FDA not label this warning on all the coffee industry product lines? We know the answer to this one of course. It is about the money is it not friends? The processed food industry is not in the business of working for your good health. Fact 3- Is your Addiction? Chronic Coffee consumption is notoriously addictive to many individuals with weak constitutions to this substance and can not live without the fix. Sounds like a drug right? In fact, like sugar that forces the pancreas to dump out large amounts of insulin to buffer the spike of blood sugar plus alcohol abuse and addictive nicotine from cigarettes coursing through the veins of smokers coffees caffeine consumption does work like an addictive drug in the human body as well. Many people make many failed attempts to stop drinking coffee. The article further states that drinking coffee daily can compound the toxic substances in your body that increase your risk of insomnia, stroke, and heart disease And as holistic chef barry already concluded in his research for coffee beans are grown outside this country, it’s very likely that they have been exposed to banned EPA pesticides that contribute to several cancers and Parkinson’s disease. Thank You in advance for staying with the Good Earth Chef all the way to reading and for absorbing the absolute TRUTH of your COFFEE Today and every day of your life. Your Good Earth Chef and Friend for LIFE Holistic Chef Barry Anderson
One thing i think coffee is good for is to stimulate digestion because its bitter.just like bitter greens & herbs.maybe thats why in addition to the caffeine it also helps to wake up the body & get the digestive enzymes flowing in the morning.(that is if you consume it the way italians do in italy & that is strong & usually without sugar.)
Aren't the Italians drinking espresso? Which if you had no type of sweetness in it, is a very, very strong coffee flavor. Acquired taste. Like Cuban espresso.
Great video..I also put cinnamon in my coffee and I will get some chicory root..I've also used cocoa powder...but then I read that it has a high lead/arsenic level?what is your dad's take on this...thanks!
Some would say with some legitimacy that rooibos tea and yerba mate tea exceed green tea with respect to antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. Great presentation.
Does he put milk in his coffee? I like with milk but they say that milk binds to the antioxidants etc… also they say using paper filter removes all the cafestol so just wondering what take is on that
Neither of us use milk, but it’s not a major concern, and we recently produced a podcast on soy. We don’t use filters. Thanks for the questions and comments!
We all may be mindful that the average 'double half caf latte with a splosh of almond syrup' from your local is not the best way to consume your coffee for health 😂 I enjoy two single espressos over the morning - hoping this is beneficial!
I drink green tea for the light caffeine effect. Before I retired, 100% of the co-workers who drank 2 or more serving were the most difficult to work with. Coffee caffeine is just too much. I knew one co-worker who had to drink coffee before bedtime. He was always stressed about something - never at ease.

The benefits would be probably be higher IF the coffee was organic free from forever chemicals. Mamavation tells which coffees to NOT buy and which ones are safe as they were tested along with teas.
Let's dicuss health implecation of the different types of coffee. Also - the dangers of WHERE you buy your coffee in order to avoid the potential of molds. One more thing: are there benefits or dangers to drinking coffee on an empty stomache vs not an empty stomache? WHAT DO THE STUDIES SAY?

I’m no scientist, but my parents drank two pots of coffee a day for 75 years and passed in their nineties?
My mom is 91, people tell her coffee is bad for her, but she still loads it up with sugar and not diabetic..!
Probably because being happily married is good for longevity not the coffee
My uncle Dave and my husbands uncle Mike were coffee drinkers big time. Uncle Dave is over one hundred and Mike died in his late 90s

I've seen reports that say that the herbicides get roasted out, they dissipate .
@@bwaldners Nice thought however I do no believe that unless I see the really good rock solid science on this idea I will continue with organic coffee. We are living in times that are so corrupt that it is hard to even trust a study & it's credibility! 🤔😇
Yay to coffee 🎉
As always, thank you for an interesting and informative discussion. My question is this: does the meta study (or any of it’s data components) take into account the heavy use of pesticides on coffee crops? Was there any distinction between the health benefits of organically grown coffee and coffee grown with pesticides?
We didn't get into those topics, but they are important. Always best to get organic foods where possible.
I find out that onion plantation has been sprayed pesticide 4 times or more throughout its life before harvest.
What about mold ?
Best question asked ! You nailed it. Great data point
Certainly, it may vary with technique and variety of coffee, but one more thing to consider:
The darker the roast, the less caffeine; AND, the more flavor!!!
Talk about a Win/Win 😋
Do everything in moderation (including the regular good things) and you are well on your way to excellent health.
I used to do a little mct oil in my coffee. Wonder if that helps as it popular in the keto world.
Loved it. Making it more concise would make it connect with many more people.
I'm a coffee lover , I have a bean to cup machine ,drink no more than 3 cups daily. I use lactose free milk , pure coconut mlik and organic beans . I've heard that coffee beans can be sprayed with insecticides !
You can put cinnamon in the coffee grounds before you brew it or pour the hot water through it in a french press
Moss report on nuts.
Some people think its bad news...
I think where you get it , how its produced, how its prepared are all factors.
It has a very interesting history though.
I have switched to organic
YES thank you and I am so glad that you made the sane switch to ORGANIC only and I did the same. After much research on the subject, I finally came to my good health senses. The FDA is not our friends and later I will cover why this is.
@@BarryAnderson it took a while to find a coffee I liked, but I found one. I eat organic as well.
Thank you so much guys!
I don't care what the Vicar of Christ says about the Elixir of the Gods.
I'm drinking coffee no matter what!

Colombian Coffee! The best.❤
I love my coffee especially after drinking water first thing in the morning, then I have coffee an hour after.

Sounds great. Thanks
The folks in my local health food store say the coumarin in cinnamon is carcinogenic, and Google’s Bard agrees. Is that true or are they confusing carcinogenic properties with blood thinning properties?
Probably the latter. Thanks for watching and for your comment!
I wish I could drink it but even low acid coffee upsets my stomach. How does strong black tea compare. Thank you for all your info!

The Good Earth Chef Barry Anderson is sharing his research on coffee at the following links www.flickr.com/photos/54619340@N07/16086136863/ Is Coffee Poison to the Human Body?
Is drinking hot coffee poison to the human body? Article Part 1 of 2
1-Coffee is Addictive?
2-A Poison?
3- Causes Cancer in Humans?
4- And what the Coffee industry does not want you to know about is covered in this article?
First, let's define what a poison is as described by the online dictionary Wikipedia
Fact -1 Poisons are substances that cause disturbances to organisms usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism such as the human body.
Tea drinkers did better on tests on memory and information processing than non-tea drinkers did, according to a 2010 study of 716 Chinese adults 55 and older in the Journal of Nutrition, Health, and
Aging.
Hot Coffee in the heating process has created a carcinogenic compound called Acrylamide that even the FDA has a website admitting to this and that hot coffee and grain products cause cancer in humans.
The article further states that drinking coffee daily can compound the toxic substances in your body that increase your risk of insomnia, stroke, and heart disease
And as holistic chef barry already concluded in his research for coffee beans are grown outside this country, it’s very likely that they have been exposed to banned EPA pesticides that contribute to several cancers and Parkinson’s disease.
Thank You in advance for staying with the Good Earth Chef all the way to reading and for absorbing the absolute TRUTH of your COFFEE Today and every day of your life. Your Good Earth Chef and Friend for LIFE Holistic Chef Barry Anderson
My family member got up to 17 cups coffee a day. SO let us keep it all on BALLANCE friends
So good to know reality about caffe !!!! Thank you both of you two Professors About it .!!!!!
About all your Exponations😊
Aren't the Italians drinking espresso? Which if you had no type of sweetness in it, is a very, very strong coffee flavor. Acquired taste. Like Cuban espresso.
☕️ very interesting 🤔
Thank you 💐 💐
I sweet the coffee with Erytritol. Does not affect the blood sugar level for keto followers.
Monk fruit better and natural. Organic is best.
Artificial sweeteners not great for the gut bacteria.
Can agave inulin powder be used instead of the chicory root powder? Do they have similar benefits? Also is the method of brewing coffee important?
Hi iv really enjoyed the info and have learnet so much .not only about the foods buy the study's... thanks

I use coconut cream in coffee ☕️ 👌
Good stuff
I add taurine to my black coffee. I am age 85.
Coffee ☕️ and tea 🍵 are good for you 😄
Does it matter which coffee and it's processing??
So glad im not religious.. so much guilt avoided and a richer fuller life
Does he put milk in his coffee? I like with milk but they say that milk binds to the antioxidants etc… also they say using paper filter removes all the cafestol so just wondering what take is on that
Neither of us use milk, but it’s not a major concern, and we recently produced a podcast on soy. We don’t use filters. Thanks for the questions and comments!
@@TheMossReport I use coconut milk only
@@TheMossReportHow do you brew your coffee without filter then.
Sounds good
You are really doing a service with your chan̈nel; father/son working so beautiful together. Thanks allot; Sharing with my health-conscious friends.
I am also 72 and started drinking it in my early 40's for fun of the flavor, not the pick me up.
Yeah because they put a lot of sugar in their coffee. Drinking whit out sugar
Beautiful
Good morning dad
Good morning Ben
I also add tumeric(with bl pepper).
Turmeric and powdered Apricot kernels here.😅
Blend cold Swiss water decaf with whey protein, really good
I drink 2 small pots of ☕️a day 😋
I think a lot of us drink coffee when after a morning cup, we should be drinking water.
Thumbs up and subscribed!
Awesome thank you!
Thanks so much for all the great information and I love the morning recipe ... sounds wonderful and I am going to try it.
I am allergic to chocolate 😬 it makes me congested and need to take an antihistamine
wow
Right away his coffee is only easy. If you can afford the roasted chicory root on a daily basis. It's easy for doctors
I heard that ceylon cinnamon is the healthiest
were the coffee studies being discussed carried out with organic coffee or nonorganic coffee?
What about the chemicals used to bleach coffee to make it decaffeinated. Are they beneficial to us or not?
What about lead and cadmium found in most Cocoa Powder?
Mamavation also tested cinnamons.
cafestol and kaweol are plusses
what about the oxalates '(a minus point) ?

I am wondering if you are concerned about the mold in coffee? Do you use organic coffee beans?
Oops I see your response below. Thank you!
The benefits would be probably be higher IF the coffee was organic free from forever chemicals. Mamavation tells which coffees to NOT buy and which ones are safe as they were tested along with teas.
Most coffee beans are GM, especially in the big coffee chains.
Sugar most definitely should be illegal to consume. Look at the obesity and diabetes epidemic we are experiencing.
Is tea as beneficial as coffee?
Please see our episode on Green Tea! th-cam.com/video/RStpsJOeu5o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UmL-Wz5ZaA2bmAVQ
Just make sure that the coffee that you drink, is organic.
