I've just had way better luck NOT using discount outdated 5.0 18650 tech. Jumping to 6 is a way better option imo, you'll get more life, less charge time and way less headache all adding up to productivity. I get the "budget" or even as a "diy,home" etc; but in a shop setting- I'll pass on the 5.0. As a due hard Red guy, even over my snap on,matco, and larger astro, IR stuff. I'm calling bs on the 550 lol. Nor do I see these EVER EVER EVER busting mack lug nuts loose out on the road or what have you. BUT IF IT DID, Jesus the amount of batteries it would take to swap mixer truck or pumper truck wheels between units . 200$ it will surely be a fun addition in the next couple months, pre-ordered on toolup and acme as I know I can flip one to a coworker for a quick 300 (as they'd spend more on the cornwell truck for the same tool anyway) . 😂😂 EDIT- JESUS CHRIST THEY COME OUT IN DROVES! @@THEBEARDEDTOOLGUY the pin detent will always have a weaker anvil than the friction ring. Every single time I see an impact break an anvil, it’s a pin detent anvil and not a friction ring.

How hot is it going to run. The newer stuff seems to run hotter than the previous generations. The 18 volt system and the 12 volt system all got smaller and hotter . Don’t think they will last long.
They did sort of explain that at pipeline, saying the motor windings have a lot more copper and significantly less air-gap, air being the main source of storing heat. Idk how believe that is but it at least sounds plausible.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it gets a maximum of 425 - 450 ft lbs. which is still pretty damn awesome. And for all those that think I'm hating. No I am a milwaukee fan boy
