The comparison note of the two parameters of the Ocean modifier is the key moment of this master class on what a tutorial should look like. Also the comment about the absolute importance of the first and last frame of a looped animation being the same. Thank you very much!!!

been stuggling for hours trying to make a different waves tutorial loop before understanding that looping it in the way it was setup wouldn't be possible, thank you for this quick easy tutorial
Thank you for this tutorial, very useful. I tried to use the same technique with your previous tutorial "[3.x] All Settings In Ocean Modifier In Blender | Explained With Suitable Examples | Eevee & Cycles", but if foam is added it looks like the first and last frame not are identical. Do you know if it is possible to make an endless ocean loop with foam present? Thanks again for an excellent tutorial.
Amazing tutorials. I'm glad that utube suggested your channel :) have a small question... Will this final deform animation work if you export this model into the Unity engine? If not - maybe there is a way to bake the final deform animation?
Thank you for the appreciation! Yes, it is possible to export the whole animation for another software like Unity. You need to first enable Lightwave Point Cache from Edit > Preferences > Addons. Then convert the ocean animation data into point cache (mdd file), apply the ocean modifier and import the mdd file. Then you can export the ocean as usual. We're coming up soon with a tutorial on this since it may look little difficult from this textual description.
Thank you too ❤️ For the blue color, you can add a new material for the ocean object and set its color to Blue, plus you should customize some other properties like transmission, specular value etc. to get the watery outlook.
I m new subscriber blender foundation Playlist is amazing sir. Thanks for every tutorial. I have one doubt I want to make two uv sphere object to attract or repel like opposite or same charge ( not particle emitted, it is working) can we assign charge to objects? How much strength should I put ? Is there any rigid body setting? I tried for zero gravity also. Please help sir only simple two object attration or Repulsion.
As far as I know, charge field works only with charged particles. If you want two simple spheres, you can use two particle systems and keep the number of particles in each system as 1. So you will get only 1 particle emitted from each emitter. These two particles will interact based on the charge assigned to them. I tested this. But since they are particles, they may not follow other expected behaviors like collision etc. However, attraction & repulsion will work correctly. Later you can use a UV sphere to render these particles.
Is there a way to make foam loop seamlessly as well? i have the water itself working but the foam i added changes between first key and last key so doesn't make a perfect turn table animation
No I could not find a perfect way to loop it with foam. The closest we can do is, make the foam slowly appear and disappear in the beginning and at the end, then it will loop perfectly. It is not ideal but at least it won't look absurd.
A realistic waterfall is not difficult to create, but it needs an insanely high domain resolution for the fluid domain - something in the order of 512 or probably even higher. Most machines, including mine, cannot handle this - so we never ventured into that. The hardware is the primary constraint here, the animation is easy.
This animation is created using modifiers. Blender does not yet support modifiers in the export module. So I think you cannot really export this. You can export a single ocean modifier using mdd format, but this endless loop may not be possible.
You need to insert a keyframe (you can visualize it like locking a value) when you change the value. You can insert a keyframe by clicking on the switch on the right side of the value, or right-click and choose insert keyframe. When you do that, the value gets locked for that frame. Now you change it on another frame and keyframe it, it will also get locked for that frame. Otherwise simply changing the value would change it for all frames.
Hi, the fact is - this trick of looping an ocean is not official. So if you bake the data, the loop does not work anymore. If you are still interested to know how to bake 2 ocean modifiers, I can explain, but it won't loop anymore as I just tested and discovered 🙁 So the other way to solve it is to export the ocean modifiers as mdd files (2 mdd files in total), then import those mdd files one after another as shape keys. I did not test this method but it should work since I used it in another similar situation. All the best for you!
If you dont want physics based water that is affected by objects (basically just scenery) then yeah. If you do want physics based water then you just need to import a plane and set up ocean physics in engine.
I don't think animations that are created through modifiers can be exported from Blender. You need to apply the modifier before you export, so the animation will be lost. The concept of modifier is not the same across various software, so there is limited support in export or import.
Did you animate the Time field in the ocean modifier? You need to set multiple keyframes for this field in order to animate it. If it is not animating the ocean won't move either.
Did you enable foam? This method may not work when foam is enabled. If that is not the case, and you believe that you have set all other things correctly, please send your blend file to 5minblender@gmail.com We will check and get back to you at the very earliest. Thank you!

Hello. Thank you, but there is not the ocean modifier in my blender. What can I do?
This modifier works on a mesh object. Please check which object is selected when you try to look for this modifier.
How can I change the color ... pls tell
You mean the color of the ocean? You can set a material and change the color of the material just like any other material.
Why is my ocean white
Probably you have added too much foam. Reduce the foam amount and check if it solves the issues.
Or you probably forgot to add material
why when I set the first keyframe of the ocean generate to 0 the last keyframe changes to 0 too????
You need to insert a keyframe (you can visualize it like locking a value) when you change the value.
