Hi, EEVEE-Next release postponed to Blender 4.2 LTS. Blender Foundation announced that EEVEE Next will be release in the future, probably with Blender 4.2 Alpha for some issues about shadows and compatibility with low power gpu’s

So many ocean tutorials on YT that are hours long with trash. This is great and extremely useful. Thanks. Only thing I'd recommend is changing the Colorspace to "noncolor"
It would've been much more informative if u included how to deal with the tiling effect as well

Thie tutorial is great. 👍🔥 Thank you. Eevee-Next is really amazing for the old hardware as mine. The render duration is about 8 sec for me andit is something unbelievable to see the result in that shot time. 😯🔥I followed the tutorial til the end and now I am gonna make a video. Wish I also see a "how to camera track" for making a short video at the end of the video without leaving the channel 😊. Thank you for the video mate! ✌🔥
I just add a Empty axis and parent it to camera (empty axis parent, camera children) and keyed the axis by rotating, scale and transform! and you can also separately key the camera also. Just try it Bro...
█ In 2002 I did this in 3D Max and the water moved there and everything and few things changed, only the light refractions that could be achieved before, only that the rendering cost too much more when moving the water NOW ANYONE DOES IT WITH 8 TO 16 DEGREES RAM O 32 AND TODAY'S MICROSPROCESSORS
Hi there, I was trying to make the same waves in a non animated model. The problem is that the shave I want it to have is different from a square. Is it also possible to use this same technique on a different shaped surface? If so how can I manage to do this?

Bro the ocean maps acts as a displacement maps. By baking the simulation it renders ever frame of the simulation, so if we change it to image sequence, the geometry react as a ocean. Look at my old displacement in eevee tutorial to know how it works: th-cam.com/video/asgdWjKZTH8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qTTgZ3q3UuZOt799
@@VFXMastro Oh I know all of that. I'm just surprised baking gives you a normal map image sequence. Usually baking does not do that at all... like baking any other animation, or any other simulation; no image sequences come from baking anything else.
I think you are asking about the ocean maps! After your ocean simulation is ready, you need to bake it as a displacement maps. So scroll down in the ocean modifier, expand the bake option and change the cache path (where the maps to be save) "for example create a new folder in desktop and select the new folder as cache path" and then click the bake ocean, wait till the process to finish 100% . After complete your displacement maps are ready in that folder...

maybe there is no need for all this process to make water. Just make a big plane with noise texture as bump and displacement with some adjustments. and some roughness
