Sean Gordon Murphy's book are available in black and white oversized hardcover format, but only in French (sometimes living in Europe pays off). I can take some pic and email them to you Rich so maybe you'd like to get them for yourself. The books ( Batman White Knight with Azrael and Tokyo Ghost) are not expensive, but I assume shipping won't be cheap.
Tokyo Ghost is my jam! Do they seem to be just black and white or artist edition style meaning they are RGB scans? I am kind of guess they might be grayscale which is nice but not really what I am looking for. if you can at some point. Please snap a few pics from Tokyo Ghost. I'd love to see what it looks like. What are the dimensions on it? thanks Pawel!
Hey Rich, love this video. I have all of the Unwrapped books from DC. If you find them can you show the pencil copies of Marc Silvestri that you said you have, thanks man. Can't wait for Blaster Kid
Nice. I am guessing there's around 8-10 total? I haven't seen too many more. If you like Joe Mad like I said there's the hard cover Ultimates pencils only out there but it can be expensive...so if you ever spot it "in the wild" for cheap....grab it. It collects all 6 issues and is a hard cover. Not a comic or single issue to be clear because I think there's some variant covers that are pencils only...that's not the book.
@@RichardFriendartist I'll be searching for the Joe Mad 1,there's 8 of the Unwrapped books. I'm hoping that DC puts more books out with different artist. I got the Jim Lee artist edition with Batman but I was hoping it would of been only pencils.
The young buck I work with has no clue why I hoard books and print out so much stuff, still have all my cassette tapes and records. I archived (digitized) most of it to an SD card. He bitches when he can't get service at work to stream because then he's stuck listening to jazz fusion and shit from my collection. Poor bastard.
@@MDHaughton I prefer to print my comic script I draw from. I like to have it and be able to move it around, write notes, cross stuff out as it's done and ultimately throw it away when I complete the page (or put it away) but having it on my ipad I find really annoying and also clumsy and not easy to move back and forth and cross reference etc. Even if I was drawing digitally I'd prefer to have my script printed out and something I can flip through.
It would be nice to create jobs by having work outsourced as a collaboration of specialist artists. Like a building filled with animators /specialist handing the art for fill-in to specialist.. faster turn out of comics . Or something alike the idea
Great. Gonna check capullos paintings. yeah the abcence of you and kelsey left a void. hehe but THE wait Will be worth it. To see what you dudes are working on.. I gonna DO a Piece but THE artist material order is stuck..so im waiting.🤙
I checked, Unfortunately Capullo did pull down his Deviant art page. I do have those digitally painted pieces he did all on his own saved on an external hard drive somewhere (I have 14 external hard drives so it's not so easy to just find the jpgs in one quick search)...one day I will pop them up into a video though for sure.
@@RichardFriendartist I saved them too, they were great. Capullo is a bit of a prima-donna online, I think they were printed in the 2007 Art of Greg Capullo.
@@Sky_TEC_Illustraition_Systems There is more great art out there than any of us can afford. That's why these videos are great, we can take a free peek. Unfortunately, we probably just end up wanting to buy it anyways.
@@Sky_TEC_Illustraition_Systems hahahaha. My first comic con I think I spent $700 on books. Not comics, but art books or collected edition type things.. but a few times I really had to slow down. Space really is an issue for me. My books got landlocked in some ways and there's no point in having so many you can't even get to what you'd like to see. That's how I came up with that 10 for 1 rule! haha
The art is amazing. Greg Capullos work is just perfection since Spawn.
Idk how I didn’t spot this channel before but I love it. Thanks for sharing all this great work!
Rich, this is a great book thank you for sharing. Here is a recommendation on artists: Bernie Fuchs, Alex Toth, John Paul Leon
Missed ya Rich! Hope all is well...I have three of these, must get more.
Love it! I still have the old Court of owls Unwarpped

Great video
I missed a Sherco payment because I bought $300 in books. It's not just you, Rich.

Gosh man. It got really bad for me for while.
