I made this cake and it was so good! I used 175 g light brown sugar and 50 gram raw granulated sugar. The sweetness was perfect! Thank you, Preppy Kitchen! This is actually the first Preppy Kitchen recipe I have ever made and it was amazing! I always reduce the sugar in all my recipes. I find it too sweet and unnecessary. I did not do the glaze. I also added 25 grams Avocado oil for more moisture in with the butter and sugar. ❤❤❤

On adding sour cream to baked goods ... YES ! I highly recommend this as well.. I pretty much add sour cream to ALL my baked goods.. even pancakes .. even a bit in my pie crusts .. ! It makes all the difference ! : )
HEY John, ive been watching a few of your pastries, and i must try this orange bundt cake asap. i've baked at least 100 new recipes since Covid and theyre all for gifting to doctors, dentist, pt,ot. firemen, grocery clerks, 1st responders mostly! i looked for blood oranges today at TJ's in Alex,. VA where i've lived for over 40 years, but they were so tiny, i bought Cara Cara instead which are supposed to be pink instead, so hopefully, will still obtain a lovely color!! right now i can barey move my arm/shoulder, mainly from too much baking(5 cakes 4 Mothers day, in 2 days), so i need to rest a bit before beginning! i normally take pics of most of my pastries, and will try to show that one to u when i do, ok? not sure how to transfer that pic from laptop to your site, but hopefully, can figure this out!! Have you ever tried the line of Boyajian citrus oils? They are excellent in case you get in a bind and don't happen to have lemons, limes, or orange zest around. They are pure oils and I've been using them in my baking for years. I buy directly from their website to assure fresh oils. They are excellent !!
Same! It seems to be our little secret. The intense lemon flavor in my Shortbread is incredible. Of course, I keep all oils in the refrigerator to protect them.
If anyone os wondering if they should make this, i would highly recommended it. Its very delicious and very moist. If you dont have sourcream just use yoghurt.
How do you feel about grandma's pound cake recipe, a pound of flour, butter, sugar, and eggs? I've always been curious if those measurements makes a nice moist cake. Your thoughts?

All I know is that he explains it like the lemon pound cake but with orange lol he said he wants the strawberry version so I'm on the hunt for that too. Might try this, looks really good

brush the pan with melted butter is easier and you wont miss any crease, then flour.
