(Don't overMix). Bake in 335 F 1 hour Now make Butter sirup: Using cooking pan with medium heat: 70 gr unsalted butter (5 tbsp) 60 ml water 150 gr sugar Until all melt slight tick, finishing add 1 1/2 tsp vanila and POUR into the cake, wait for 10 minute then pull out the cake out.. Walah delicious..

Just made it. I have quite a low threshold for sweetness, so I added 300 g instead of 400 of sugar, plus only a little bit of butter-sugar soak, and it was at the upper sugar limit for me, but it was DELICIOUS. I also added about 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds, gives a nice texture and a little bit of additional flavor

This is a great recipe and I've been using one much like this for a long time. One thing that I do add to mine is a little mace--a little makes a big difference in the depth of the flavor.
Hi Mr. Preppy my mother baked this cake yesterday, it was the most delectable cake I have ever tasted. she made a few changes, 200g of caster and 200g of powder sugar gave the texture of the cake a smoothness that melted in my mouth. for the butter bathe she used red oranges instead of water. Hola John, I tried your recipe twice today, january 8th. The first time, by your instructions and the cake got stuck to the pan because it was hot and soft. A big mess. The secons time, I let the cake cool completely, then I added the butter glaze, poking holes on the cake, and it came out perfect.

2 tbsp of cornstarch substituted for 2 tbsp of the flour will give you a much nicer, finer texture.

Hola John, I tried your recipe twice today, january 8th. The first time, by your instructions and the cake got stuck to the pan because it was hot and soft. A big mess. The secons time, I let the cake cool completely, then I added the butter glaze, poking holes on the cake, and it came out perfect.

Yes please on the gooey butter cake. Reminds me of a cake I use to get at a downtown restaurant. They unfortunately don’t make it anymore and the baker is no longer available.
