Amazing Amethyst and Beautiful Beryl from South Carolina (Pay-to-Dig at Johnson Creek Farm)

The Deep South holds some real mineralogical treasures that certainly aren't buried too deep. Chase and I travel to Johnson Creek Farm in March of 2019 for an Amethyst, Epidote, and Beryl dig along with Bryan Major (The Crystal Collector) and "famous" Amos Cunningham.
Owner Jason Ashley invites the public for a fee dig about 4 times a year, and rockhounds from all over the country descend on this spacious farm near Due West, South Carolina.
Several seams of quartz and amethyst run through the property, as well as a seam of epidote, and about a half-mile of beryl, quartz, feldspar, and mica.
