- Diamond Hill Mine is the first open pit public mine that we ever visited. We have been going here for several years, and it never gets old. Every visit seems to be just a little different from the last, depending on how much they have turned the soil over and the recent weather in the area. Join us on the hunt for beautiful crystals while we share some tips on the best ways to find some for yourself. If you haven't been to Diamond Hill Mine, I highly suggest you check them out! We had an amazing time at Graves Mountain! They're having the Rock swap dig April 26-28 and yes we wish there was more public mines open also!
