Sprays are prohibited in our apartment complex so it will be great if a light coat of Mod Poodge will work but I'm worried that it would stick to the base and there would be problems in seperating the laminate from the plate. Anyone try it yet?
Try Aleenes Tack it over and over. A brush on glue that stays tacky. Can be found at Michaels in the glue section. Can be quit sticky, may need to make less tacky with pressing on a piece of fabric, this might work.
You can buy proper stencil Mylar sheets for making stencils, a lot stronger and harder wearing, and the Cameo cuts them out without any trouble, even intricate designs. I do this as I am a stencil designer for an American stencil company.
Hi! please help me, I have been trying to cut 10mil mylar for about 3 weeks now and I can't figure it out, it is a very intricate design so I would rather use the 10mil for longevity purposes, do you have any advise for the setting to be used? I have both the auto blade and the deep cut. TIA

I do this a lot to personalize names on fabric etc.

Can you make the clear laminate page even thicker by adding perhaps a white or colored cardstock in between laminate sleeve ? That way - I’m sure it’s easier to see what your stencil is - or perhaps write or print title/info /design/ misc. on the cardstock or paper . Just a thought ... but definitely wouldn’t mind the thicker stronger material for sure !
Instead of cardstock, what about using onion paper? I would be worried that the thickness of the cardstock or even regular printer paper would let the paint bleed between the layers. Thoughts?
