If you want to make a video like this on your own, hopefully these steps can help out: 1. I used vgmtrans to extract each song from the rom 2. Exported the songs into the highly compatible midi format with sf2 3. Deconstructed the channels to my liking in a generic music software and exported each one into a streamed sort of file (mp3, wav, etc.) 4. Put each file into SidWizPlus which does all the oscilloscope work. If SidWizPlus doesn't work that well I've heard of Corrscope but haven't given it a try. It may take some time to render. Hope this helps, if you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them
@@cocosgdSf2 is SoundFont2, and works in tangent with midis. Think of a midi file as the sheet music, it has all the notes and information of how to play. The soundfont is effectively the instrument that makes it sound correct.

How tf does this not have more views?! You did a really good job deconstructing this song, and listening to the harmony/melody by itself makes me love this song even more. Keep it up!
Love these videos, it would be awesome to see Slider visualized like this. I don't think the music in Smash Bros. Brawl is sequenced, but if it is, there's plenty of interesting song choices there too. Bramble blast would be awesome, or even the og stickerbush symphony from donkey kong country 2 on the snes.
I think the reason these have different channels is because they're midis that use different samples. Any MIDIs in brawl would probably be just like this, but the orchestrated tracks are recorded live.
Has anyone else realized that this soundtrack, the cool cool mountain soundtrack, and the slider soundtrack are the same soundtrack but different? Listen to the main melody of all three (and any others that sound similar that I forgot to mention here) and you should be able to hear it.
I don't know of I'm too late to make a request, but I think it would be neat if you deconstructed a pokemon song. Maybe something like Veilstone HQ from diamond and pearl. Cool video btw
Absolutely love this content! What game systems are you limited to? I’d love to hear some PS1 or Genesis tracks, along with any NES or SNES tracks you would interested in as well! Please continue this content however you want, I love it regardless!
Please, do you think you could do that with GBA Sky Garden from Mariokart Super Circuit /DS? I absolutely love this song and there isn't any deconstruction of it on TH-cam 🙏
Can you do this process for any song, or does it only work for songs with in-game midi files (for example, could I do this with a Breath of the Wild or Metroid Dread song?)
Hey, whenever i try to put anything else than .nds files into vgmtrans, it doesnt give me anything, ive tried it with wii music file (bc i really wanna do them) and some other like snes music files, it just doesnt work, can you help me out please?

You can use this method to mute every channel but one you want?
@@certifiedfridge You can mute and unmute any channel to your liking, yes. You could have them all muted if you wanted to
Cool! Very helpful information! Thanks for sharing
what is sf2?

It sounds like a Mario Maker background music to build at times!
Super Mario Maker 3D.
beat me to it lol
the waveform on the bass is so satisfying.
Channel 3
I agree. The way it strikes is just... I can't, it's too good
I liked that a lot. It's amazing how simple the tune is once you break it down!
Koji Kondo's compositions are like that.
It's also amazing that you actually start hearing different instruments you couldn't hear before
@@CinderTheSkulldog Yeah, it really shows how interesting the songs are, even if they're simple.

creo que el instrumento raro es voz de sintetizador

A classic, that in my opinion has aged very well! I still love this tune 😁
It's good to see you again Tungsten! SM64 is indeed a classic, one of my favorites.
After SM64.z64, I almost had a heart attack hearing that first segment.
That's so cool! I'd love to see what are the separated instruments used for Rainbow Road from Super Mario Kart!
How tf does this not have more views?! You did a really good job deconstructing this song, and listening to the harmony/melody by itself makes me love this song even more. Keep it up!
hey! nice to see you again!
definitely going to check out your soundcloud ;)
Haha thanks! Glad you've stuck around as well

One track I would love to hear deconstructed is the star man for NSMB ds. Hope to see that someday!
So the wing cap theme basically?
@@pengo2418 yes but nsmb ds uses different instruments compared to the n64 version
its from sm64ds actually
@@Koishi97 but like 90% of tjr instruments are the same
Bro i watched all your video's today and i need more. This is really cool
If Super Mario Maker 3 adds a Super Mario 64 theme, this would be the editing music
becomes seinfeld without the trumpet
it feels like the electric guitar is being choked out most of the time
This is good and i love it but if only the audio quality was better.
This actually fits perfectly in a Genesis song. 6 channels and noise.
Congrats on 1K subs!!

2:49 Obj⬛️⬛️⬛️: GET ⭐️
You should do "Maple treeway" from Mario kart Wii
love looking at all the different waveforms! wow, this is amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Oh, sounds compressed

Wait, so this track used 7 channels?😮😱🤯😶🌫️ Nice, I thought it used more than that since it was made in the 5th generation of video games!😄🤩😎👌
Finally New video :DD
Good to have you Back 🙂
Somehow relaxing
Hell yeah you’re back!
Yo these are fuckin rad 💯💯 super interesting and helpful for music production 💴

Unfortunately, PS1 music decompiling is impossible since most games since most used pre-compiled tracks burned onto the disk.
Man this is great 1:11 dudududududu
i hope you do some of the other mario games ! look forward to sunshine and mkwii
Channel 0 - Brass Section
Channel 1 - Synth Voice
Channel 2 - Electric Guitar (Jazz, Clean, Muted, not sure)
Channel 3 - Slap Bass
Channel 4, 5, 6 - Percussion (they shouldn't be separated, right?)
I would love to hear the Credits Theme deconstricted if you ever wanna do more Mario 64 Music
What a coincidence, i was just playing Super Mario 64!
This is amazing!! Please keep making such incredible content!
I’d love to see some Super Metroid or Metroid Prime tracks! Especially Brinstar Green.
Could you possibly do a deconstruction vid on the mk8dx rendition of mushroom gorge?
Dude.
You need to do Yoshi’s falls from MKDS.
There’s alot of cool drums in that song.
I’d love to hear some music from Spyro 2! ❤❤❤
pretty much all you need is channel 0 and 1 to play bob omb battlefield
great
Please, do you think you could do that with GBA Sky Garden from Mariokart Super Circuit /DS? I absolutely love this song and there isn't any deconstruction of it on TH-cam 🙏
Would love a zoom in on the notes part
Could you do some Mario RPG ones? Love the mellow tunes from taking away the leads.
Just found this channel, and I love it. If you're doing requests, could you do some music from either gen 4 pokemon or mystery dungeon?
Rad video!!!
I would love to see the twistem metal black soundtrack to be disected, but i feel like it might be impossible or very hard to do
creepypasta modders: It's free real estate
Can you try and deconstruct tracks from Full Auto 2: Battlelines? I would love to hear what they have changed in their tracks from the first game.
Do it for the staff roll
Can you deconstruct super bell hill? It would sound amazing
0:38 Peg!
00:01 Bob-Omb Battlefield but you forgot Bob-OmBattlefield
Wii Play has sequenced music
Request: Mario 64 Slider theme
Channel 2 sounds like someone who doesn't know how to play their instrument with any confidence lol
Pls Deconstruct the Mario Kart Wii Menu and WiFi music
Hazy maze cave next? It's always been one of my favorites next to dire dire docks
I have a suggestion: could you try to do the temple of time theme from legend of Zelda ocarina of time?
Coconut mall mayhaps
sm64.z64 but music isn't slowed down be like:
please do esaka (KOF 94) from king of fighters
or at least make it without the sample sound effects pls
do scribblenauts music
channel 4
