I got to say I wasn't expecting them to be so many difference between editions. I would probably use the 2e versions as a more unique pair serving under a god(could be an interesting story behind the lack of a breath weapon and the need of a god to help them procreate) and have the species as whole follow a more normal aging process.
How would you handle instant death by massive damage( double their hit point total in 1 round) or effects like Disintegrate against these dragons? Generally at my table those are both acceptable ways to finish off trolls
Instant death by massive damage both for trolls and this dragon i'd ask my players how they attack and describe a brutal killing blow, only for the creature to slowly (Or in the dragons case, rapidly) heal and reconnect or regrow the injuries. For disintegrate you could either have the magic fight the regeneration, the two opposite abilities destroying and regrowing the body both quickly until the disintegrate runs out. Or optionally, disintegrate only detroys a 10 foot cube of an object so that much of the dragon could be destroyed before regrowing.
I don't believe all of the solar angels have been listed or named as of yet. I can't recall exactly but i believe only 4 or 5 have official names. I'll definitely look into this more when I make a video on them.

I really like this version of the astral dragon. As you said there is alot of potential for stories with deities or astral travel.
