  • Adria Alpina Mississippi - 2021 Model Review
    We took a trip to Highbridge Caravans to do a little window shopping. Whilst there, we decided to film what we saw. (We had permission to film).
    For us, this Adria Alpina Mississippi caravan is aspirational - maybe one day ...
    If you are looking for a 2021 model review of an Adria caravan island bed we do it here in the 2021 model review.
    Kaz reviews this Adria Alpina 2021 model - she has a knack for it (Pete is writing this ;) )
    Two Caravans appealed - this video shows the Adria Alpina 613 UC Mississippi 2021 - keep an eye out for another video of a different caravan filmed on the same day.

    Nice comprehensive look! We bought an Adria Colorado in October and we are in love! We have the choice of the big bed at the front or twin beds at the back - lots of floor space. The modern cabinets (we put our gadget stuff/cables etc into the small front lockers!) and lighting was a big feature for us. The lighting in the evening is lovely - lots of choices of settings or just lie back and star gaze out those windows (living room and bedroom!). Enjoy researching - it's such good fun! There is not one thing to fault in our Adria.

    We are very pleased with our Adria Adora Seine, have found it to be a solid well put together caravan. The Alpina range is great too with the addition of underfloor heating, and a direct water feed. I think its worth comparing the Adora with the Alpina, have a look you might be pleasantly surprised. Great video 😊

      Thanks very much Anne. We will most definitely have a look at that Adora Seine. We’ve not made up our minds on what comes next or even when that should be, so we’ll keep looking. Thank you for watching and commenting. Pete and Kaz. 👍👍👍😀😀😀

    Great review, there is an awful lot to like about that 'van. I can see why you' re sold on it. That connector next to the water inlet is probably a 12v supply for filling the tank with an external pump, just like our Swift.

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Bob. It really is a nice van. Something different about it and this appeals. I think you’re right about the 12v - we’ve never used an external pump, hence the confusion ... Thanks for watching and commenting. Pete & Kaz. 👍👍👍😀😀😀

    You did a great showing. I really liked the modern look of the design, but, I don't think I like the sunroof it's so large ( because of heat and cold regulation). Lots of great storage in it. Overall, it's a great model. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed seeing it!

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Holly. Glad you liked it. The sunroof is a double glazed design, and is actually a very good insulator while letting in the light (and a view). There's plenty of storage for sure - thanks very much for watching an commenting, Pete & Kaz 😀😀😀😀

    Thanks for the look around enjoyed how you presented it there's something about those Adria's that feel somehow odd to me can't quite take to them
    And I hate fridges on the awning side thanks again for sharing

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We like them because they don’t have the “traditional” caravan feel to them. There’s just something different about them that appeals to us. Yes having the fridge vent pumping warm air into the awning is not ideal. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      @@CraftyCampervanners we always use our fridge on gas I had a fridge on the awning side in the past and I don't like the flue gas smell plus the lack of moving across the vents affects the cooling perhaps I'm a bit odd

    Very nice van, really nice & light inside, once we come out of the Tier 3 lockdown & allowed to travel out of our area we will be looking at caravans, we feel that a caravan in the future would be more beneficial for us in the future but still not sure or may be a tow car for MH, who knows what 2121 will bring

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew and Karen. This Adria really does give you the feeling of space. Interesting that you’d be looking at caravans. We did have a look at one more on the day. It is not a dumpy choice between caravans or motorhomes. We like the idea of both, wish we could have one of each !! Let’s just hope that 2021 will be an improvement. Thanks for watching and commenting, Pete & Kaz. 👍👍👍😀😀😀

    Strange little cupboards at the front? Wonder why they didn’t hinge the full front to allow full use of it? Odd. Don’t think I’d get on with that kitchen - we tend to have washing up drying while I cook. I’d have to be more organised 🤨

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks David. That little cupboard at the front seems to be quite a strange area in many caravans. We have similar in our Swift, you can get stuff in the space, but require long go-go-gadget arms... Now, if only we could have a magical built in dishwasher... Thanks for watching and commenting, Pete & Kaz 👍👍😀😀

    Once a COVID vaccine is available we are hoping to tour UK & Europe full time for several years. The research I have done seems to indicate that parking a caravan over 8m could be a limited, eg Paris. Do you have any thoughts on if this?

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Susan. Here’s hoping that we all see a COVID vaccine real soon. We have no direct knowledge of touring in France. Our Swift Challenger 580 is also just longer than 8m - we have to be careful with breakdown cover as well - some policies have an 8m limit... As long as you are happy to do careful planning, you should be fine. It seems like you’ll be spending a lot of time in your caravan - our priority would be a nice comfortable living space over a few places that won’t accommodate you. We tow with a van, not all sites allow this, so we go elsewhere. Hope this helps. You could also have a look at www.caravanvlogger.co.uk/caravanning-in-france/?amp . Thanks for watching and thanks for the thought provoking comment, appreciated!! Kaz & Pete 👍👍👍

      @@CraftyCampervanners Thanks for the reply. We too are thinking about towing with a small van that can carry “stuff”, then convert to a camper van or car when we get to a destination. Are you going to look at Coachman caravans?

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@susanjennings3844 Hi Susan. The van makes it easy. We have a Coachman review scheduled for tomorrow morning. We are also thinking of making a basic day van out of our Renault as well. Pete.

      @@CraftyCampervanners great, looking forward to seeing the coachman review - I think the laser xcel is at the top of my list. The problem I see with day campers is the “Toilet”, but haven’t got around to looking at this in any detail. I am from Auckland, New Zealand - so we have been through 2 lockdowns but we have escaped the worst of Covid. Just about to check in with all the UK relatives - but it is hard by messaging or emails. Stay safe.

    • @CraftyCampervanners
      @CraftyCampervanners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      And we’re just about to go into lockdown number two here in the UK. We are doing the Laser Excel tomorrow. We initially were not going to worry about a toilet in the van (when we finally get to it) but a recent leg crossing trip to Constantine Bay (Frenton Farm review video) has us convinced some kind of PortaPotty or similar would be good). Pete.
