As a person working on finishing my degree in architecture, love designing and studying real estate, I learned so much watching by watching these videos and understanding people perspectives.
I’m also heavily interested in architecture and it’s studies and I was wondering what are the main keys points you have come across which make a difference and as you say understanding peoples perspectives? Thanks
Half of Arvin's videos are basically questioning why Enes isn't doing all the due diligence for the buyer. If you pay $14 million for a house and don't at least drive by the property to see that there's a railroad a quarter mile away, that's your own fault.
The second house with the lines in the ceiling wasn’t HVAC diffusers - it’s recessed track lighting. What you saw hanging down was the directional lighting heads.
@@Real.Estate.Report Yeah I stumbled across them when looking for recessed track lighting. I liked the tracks, but the light fixtures for them just looked bizarre to me.
Arvin is so honest… when he likes something, he mentions it… otherwise, when he sees BS, he is hilarious and still respectful… each one of his videos is a masterclass! 😅
At 5:25 if you look at the back end of the shower, sort of hidden behind the side of the glass you can see what appears to be a hose for a handheld showerhead. Still, that image couldve been taken better
Nice criticism of mansions to balance the report on mansions. The Orum mansion looks more like an art project, than a home for people to live. The Oklahoma mansion is a tare down because it is to personalized. I like the use of airspace in houses, I like three and four stories houses, I do not mind exercising climbing stairs. A one story house is a waste of airspace.
Scott, I was looking for any news on Diplo's hill top Jamaican home after hurricane Beryl passed... It was my only concern with his open house design, way up high by the coast🇯🇲🙏🏾
The Y building might be a matter of price although heat might also be tricky. Those Case houses have low quality visualizations which is strange for top dollar houses. They are ok but it's so so architecture, not something to justify 9 figures. Who would pay 61million for 1million dollar architecture and why were they all taken off the market just now. There is a 4½year old video on Scott's channel where they were well into construction and a 3 year old on Unvarnishedco where they were closer to completion so why were they trying to sell them now with old low quality renderings. Aren't they all done. Seems strange.
In a weird way I like that house on Stanley. But building an "art piece" house (which all of these homes are) is always going to lower demand. And in the $40 million to $100+ million price range only 3 to 10 people in the city are looking to buy at any given time. That means if none of those 3 to 10 people like it, its sitting on the market. I couldn't imagine risking investor money like that. Developers like Todd Glaser have the formula down, keep things luxurious and one of a kind, but not offensive to the senses.
The key takeaways from this are: Arvin might/should get copywrite strikes from Enes etc especially for vids that reupload and "react to"/ mock active listings that Enes is paid by the sellers/brokers to promote Rainshower heads are hotgarbage gimmicks. The best shower is wall mounted above head height and removable so if you want to shower your feet/ dog/ kids you can do so without getting soaked. Rant over.🌬☁☁
I don't understand why a realtor would get a $19 million property and then hire an amateur photographer. They processed everything using HDR in photoshop and probably thought they did a great job. Ouch! Geez that was terrible. If I were the seller, I'd demand they reshoot or let me out of the contract.
There are many out there that really really need to go to design school. Art school. Most of these are poor design. Ugly too. The one in Oklahoma is atrocious! Really ugly! It’s like whoever designed this huge monstrosity didn’t have any sense of design/color! So ugly! Less is usually more! When it comes to good clean design. Not more is more. The old saying goes, “many rich people don’t have any good taste in things”.
So glad you didn't do it like Arvin does. Frankly i think he's a dick. He attacks the presenters and the content rather than just critiquing the property. He's trying to make a channel based of the hard work of others. A dick move. Instead you went out and sourced properties to critique rather than other youtubers. That the right way to go about it.
I was watching Arvin for a while, but it's kind of getting old. I don't mind him being honest about the houses, but sometimes he is a little snarky about the TH-camrs who spent the time actually shooting these videos It is a lot of work. I think he should have a little more respect for the people who are spending their time making content on houses for him to critique. They also have to find nice things to say about the houses, or they will never be invited to other houses, and then they won't have anything to talk about.
I think Arvin does a good job of calling out Enes's BS. I enjoy watching Enes videos but he does go over the top sometimes and calling him out on that is not hating.

It’s crazy that for these mega price tags they can’t include a damned elevator!
Totally enjoyed this format.
I have driven by so many mega monster mansions in the hills on my bike. Totally over priced and unrealistic. Save your money.
@@ronlokk sounds like a fun place to ride a bike though!
Save your money?😂 As if the buyers of the homes are that concerned with the price tags if their truly happy with it
Totally agree. Gillen houses look dated and the finishes don't look good enough for $40 mil+. For $3,500,000 houses it would be ok, but $40 mil?
The first house was a DISASTER

It wasn't an emerald wall, it was jade. tbh i thought it looked awesome
Enes did a tour of 1859 Bel Air. He does a good job (as always) showing the layout, how you approach the front door, etc... Keep up the good work!
