  • Pretty in depth video on the install of the 3 point hitch. I must say I am impressed with how solid this hitch is, definitely worth the money! I feel like I sped through some stuff, so if you need something, please ask.

Great Video Instructions! Works with Ruegg version and they failed to send instructions with the kit (although all hardware was there). This made it much easier and a lot quicker. Older X734, but worked exactly the same. Thanks!

Hey buddy! great video. Just bought a Z758 along with the 3 point kit. I also bought a MCS20 bagger which uses the click&go brackets. I wonder if they can go on along with the upper rock shaft

I do believe click and go can go on with the rockshaft, just have to take the lift arms off

Harbor Freight has a quick hitch that works great with the 3 pt.

Can you still run the mower deck with the 3pt hitch? Does the hydraulics for the mower deck run the height of the hitch? Also... You going to have to remove all of that to do the PTO kit? If you're going to add the PTO kit eventually, maybe it makes sense to go ahead and do it first?

Yes, Yes, and I shouldn't have to.
The mower deck and 3 point are connected, but you can limit movement of the 3 point to use the deck, and I believe (I say this because its still winter where I am at, so haven't used the deck) the deck can be held up if you want to use the 3 point with the deck still on (although that is weird, probably better to take it off)...
The 3 point can be held in the up position by a limiting bolt that is part of the hitch.
The deck can be held up by the cutting height knob, just put on the highest numeric setting and it won't lower very much. At this point, again, 'I believe' the 3 point will still lower. Once I can try this I will update my comment.
The hitch is very easily disassembled as far as the lift arms are concerned. They are all held on by pins with spring clips, so they are very easy to remove and there should be plenty of access to the transaxle/PTO. Only reason I'm not doing the PTO now is because I don't want to waste the transaxle fluid for an accessory that I won't even be using right away...

Josh, the video of the 3 point hitch really helped. But it was a little low on fluid. Fill it up. 3 point hitch stop. But the belly mower. It's still working. Wondering If you could help. Thanks in advance.

Great video. What is the lifting capacity of this 3 point hitch? Can’t find specified anywhere. Thanks.

Not sure, I can’t find it either! I have lifted 360lbs with mine though, did just fine.

So can three point implements be used or only limited three point implements can be used? If so what’s the difference?

    • @JoshsGreenGarage
      @JoshsGreenGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes, three point implements can be used, the pin layout is the same, but it depends on the specific implement. From what I can gather, the limited means it is 1: built lighter, and 2: lift pins are lower, allowing the implement to be raised higher. There is a good chance you will not find a cat 1 L brush hog, but people have put them behind x700s and they work. It pretty much depends on the implement. I've seen stuff about moldboard plows having height differences where the cat 1 was taller than the cat 1 L, in this instance, the plow may always contact the ground. It really all comes down to lift height. There is a huge difference in size between an X7 and a 4 series compact, and though both are "cat 1" they can't do all the same stuff. When looking at the 3 point on a GT/SGT, you just need to recognize that they are very versatile, but not like a full blown compact tractor. You cannot expect the same out of them. You also have to consider that GTs are limited by how heavy they can be built, so they just aren't capable of the load and stress of some bigger implements. As i've said, it really just depends.

You need to show the piston in the back and the holes for the self tapping screws, Mine are different I think, but I can't see yours. Show how it works when you r done.

I can do this, give me a bit and I’ll try to show it better, I don’t want to disassemble anything, but I’ll do what I can

@@JoshsGreenGarageI could not see how the stop rod worked, back up under there. Everything was shot from the left side, but I figured it out. Overall your video was helpful. I used a Ruegg 3 point for an X595.
