Thanks Josh for the well put together video. I had to install a snowblower on my father in laws X730 with little documentation and missing parts. Your video(s) were very helpful.
I’m here living in Grand Bay New Brunswick Canada eh! I just ordered a plow and quick hitch kit for my JD X739. The dealer is going to install the quick hitch an snow blade as part of the deal. I have watched a lot of your videos and really appreciate your attention to detail. I love to tinker in my garage but hate “fiddeling” with instructions that are difficult to understand sometimes. If you are ever in the Maritimes as we like to call are part of Canada please feel free to stop by and say hello. By-the-way, my name is Gerald Green. My fully restored 1978 Chevrolet K10 short box pickup is the original colour “Holly Green” and the decal on the tail gate calls my truck GREEN’S MACHINE”. I purchased it new in 1978. One question I have for you concerns the three mowing blades on the 54” mowing deck. Is there a certain way to install the blades for proper balance? Once again, thanks for the informative Videos! Gerry
Random question: any reason to uninstall the quick hitch during mowing season if I don't plan to use any front-mounted implements? I would not use a blade on the front with the mower installed, but I could still mow with the quick hitch installed without causing any harm, correct? Guessing the front draft arm of the deck would be the big question.
Yes you would have to remove it it in order to attach the front draft arm. I can't remember exactly but I think the quick hitch pins go in the same spot as the pin for the draft arm too.
screw all the way out is the same as no valve installed. So, to adjust for the front lift, screw all the way in.
Great Job Josh, Thanks for the video.
Great video, thank you! Just finished installing a 54" blade on my X720 & this was VERY helpful :)
