In Indonesia (especially Java) we use several types of bus classes for the convenience of long trips (VIP Class, Royal Class, President Class, Suite Class / Sleeper Class, Super Executive) , enjoy your holiday in Thailand with your family, have fun.

There is so much to do in Chiang Mai I can recommend Rajapruek it's a amazy park. For a day trip you can go to Doi Inthanon. There is also a big swimming pool on the way to San Kampheng. Tomorrow jou can visit the Sunday night market on walking street on that visit you can visit the best temples in town.

Can you put a link to the bus company. It looked like a great way to travel. And I've never heard Tuk Tuks explained so well, your words painted a picture in my head lol
