i have travelled in sombat buses and their service is really good and buses are also really comfortable. i hope they start the same bus for koh samui also. amazing video keep uploading such informative videos🤟🏻

Thanks a lot for this Video man, this really helped me understand my Options. I was afraid to take the Bus in Thailand, I thought it was going to be really bad, this showed me it is actually really nice. The Airlines want to Charge you almost $100 for Checking your Bags, The Train Charges the same price for Sleeping Cars as an Airline Ticket, now I'm thinking the Bus is really my Best Option. Thanks!

I'd guess you haven't traveled around Thailand very much. Every little town looks the same and few highways go through scenic areas.

Before you plan for bus, must remember, take enough food with you(bus provides 1 bottle water, 1 piece cream bread and one small chocolate drink). Out of 12 hours journey, they stop only for 20 minutes for free dinner(obviously menu is not good at all) after 6 hours beginning of journey.

Today, 23 Dec 2023, I am now travelling from Bangkok to Phuket. It starts at 18:30 from Bus terminal -2( Sai Tai Mai). It is a double decker bus. Ticket price 1, 128 Thai Baht per person. Bought the ticket from 1st floor of Bus Terminal.

Peak season airfare can be much more expensive. I think bus service fare is fixed, non dynamic pricing. Good alternative since no train track to Phuket

Useful but please don't do this unless you're in a dire rush. It's a great way to hurry past some of the best parts of Thailand.

If the trip is longer than 4 hrs. There will be 2 drivers. ( by law )

Max driving is 4 hrs / driver. Then if the driver want to continue, he must take a rest a least 1/2 hour and can continue no longer than another 4 hrs.
@@theparitt I think you are wrong on that one, there is no digi cards or tacho graphs in buses or trucks I live in Thailand and talked to many drivers. They drive as long as they want that's one of the reasons that Thailand has one of the most road deaths in the world no training long hours driving falling a sleep at the wheel etc

5th December is public holiday, so I don't recommend to get the ticket at the bus station on the travel day, cuz there might be no ticket left.

Is that with THAI smile? i saw that deal but i was put off by their reviews saying they cancel your flight and dont process a refund, some people have been waiting for 2 years to get their refund. Apparently they are going into administration and have filed for bankrupcy

Sombat are a good company. Nakhonchai Air bus is terrible. Claims it's first class. Avoid Nakhonchai Air.
Can you really fly from Bangkok to Phuket for $31?? My flight from Bangkok to Chiang Mai was $160 and that was a budget airline, and so was Chiang Mai to Phuket
U can fly by Air Asia , price around 30-50 Us dollars, but u must booking from internet
Last time I was there in May it was $40 BKK-HKT on Thai and $55 HKT-BKK on Bangkok Airways. But even if it was triple that price, I wouldn't consider a bus for $35 and 16 hours. My god, is time worth nothing?
