i have travelled in sombat buses and their service is really good and buses are also really comfortable. i hope they start the same bus for koh samui also. amazing video keep uploading such informative videos🤟🏻

I took the sombat tour bus from bangkok-hua hin a few times. it's great. it was a 2-1 seat configuration which works well for couples and solo travelers. the bangkok stop was near mo chit (it stopped in the southern terminal too) and the hua hin stop was at a small station near the intercontinental resort. i enjoyed the service they offered. the funny thing was there's a thai restaurant/autoparts store next to the station that share a single shop. so one side of the shop had tables, and the other wall had shelves full of brake rotors etc lol, but the food was delicious. i imagine it's a mom&pop shop, and mom is a restauranteur and pop is in the auto parts biz. they get along together so well, and they're so inseperable, that they decided to keep both of their businesses under one roof🤣 my last time in hua hin was 2018 so this is subject to change

I was afraid to take the Bus in Thailand, I thought it was going to be really bad, this showed me it is actually really nice. The Airlines want to Charge you almost $100 for Checking your Bags, The Train Charges the same price for Sleeping Cars as an Airline Ticket, now I'm thinking the Bus is really my Best Option. Thanks!

Today, 23 Dec 2023, I am now travelling from Bangkok to Phuket. It starts at 18:30 from Bus terminal -2( Sai Tai Mai). It is a double decker bus. Ticket price 1, 128 Thai Baht per person. Bought the ticket from 1st floor of Bus Terminal.

How do they even make a profit😂 128 thb per person even if the bus is full lets say it holds 60 people. That's 7800 thb(225 dollar) !! for that whole journey if you calculate the petrol and pay the staff..

I was travelled Pukhet to Bangkok by Road on double Dacker Bus ACTUBER 2023. Bus passenger seats required further comfortable.
I'm just courious about the temperature! I like south-east asia, except one thing, they alwaxs set the airconditioner to -30° , terrible, like in Syberia. Today I traveled by BTS and almost died :D

I regularly travel in thailand. I absolutely detest domestic flights, cause they often end up wasting the day. This is a perfect way of having a relatively decent overnight, on first class transport, and getting in nice and early at your destination. Its not perfect, but for me, better than flying.
I've never wasted a day by flying internal. What are you doing
yeah, i can see the appeal in this.. check out late in bkk, get a good meal and get on the bus, get a good long rest on the bus, wake up somewhere in krabi or something and enjoy the sights for the rest of the ride. by the time you get to your phuket hotel, it's check in time. you save the hotel expense for a night.
i havent had the pleasure of flying domestic in thailand in years, but ever since they got rid of thai smile airways (my personal favorite), i'd imagine the choices you're left with aren't so good. plus you have to leave your hotel ooohh maybe 4 hours before takeoff due to traffic. chances of flight delay are kinda high. plus baggage fees. arrive in hkt, deal with the phuket taxi mafia. you cant go straight to the hotel, you have to get a high pressure sales pitch about shows and tours first at some random office on the way to the hotel

Before you plan for bus, must remember, take enough food with you(bus provides 1 bottle water, 1 piece cream bread and one small chocolate drink). Out of 12 hours journey, they stop only for 20 minutes for free dinner(obviously menu is not good at all) after 6 hours beginning of journey.

Please respect passengers by not using toilet. This is awful to get people scentS when leaving toilets. Most of time those are tourists...but rhis is an another issue.
No one eats at night, just sleep and that's enough for traveling at night.

sombattour is fully in thai (for reservations), to hard to get a reservation by foreigns
You can call their support and press 0 after to change to English support, and you can book - they will ask your name and passport ID, then you can go to 7/11 to pay the ticket. You will be given a reference number for that.

Some people have acrophobia, afraid of height. The bus will best alternatives to Phuket.
Today is 21 Sep 2024, I came from Phuket Bus Terminal 2 to Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal. The bus looks as it is BUT in the middle of the road the VIP SUPERIOR bus had Engine problem so we were SHIFT to another bus which was not of this BUS condition but that is also called VIP . So before you book ticket look on to it because we heard this Superior VIP bus changes in the middle of the road.
I love how Asia and many other countries seem to have an overuse of the word vip haha

5th December is public holiday, so I don't recommend to get the ticket at the bus station on the travel day, cuz there might be no ticket left.

If the trip is longer than 4 hrs. There will be 2 drivers. ( by law )

Max driving is 4 hrs / driver. Then if the driver want to continue, he must take a rest a least 1/2 hour and can continue no longer than another 4 hrs.
@@theparitt I think you are wrong on that one, there is no digi cards or tacho graphs in buses or trucks I live in Thailand and talked to many drivers. They drive as long as they want that's one of the reasons that Thailand has one of the most road deaths in the world no training long hours driving falling a sleep at the wheel etc
