  • There's a new way to strengthen the microbiome - supplementing with bacteriophages (phages), specialized viruses that can strengthen the microbiome by turning harmful bacteria into prebiotic nutrients that feed probiotics (good bacteria). Currently, probiotic users are saving $12.25 billion per year in lost wages, and employers could gain $10.54 billion per year in productivity gains if all employees took probiotics. Bacteriophages are able to increase probiotic activity by as much as 5,000%.

    The effect on increasing bifido and other good bacteria is amazing. People with Parkinson’s have super low Bifidobacterium. These same bacteria modulate dopamine. Parkinson is caused by low dopamine. MS is gut microbiome induced and so is Parkinson’s imo. The science is out there already

    Arthur Andrew Medical sells Floraphage. It's good but I prefer to use pre-biotics to diversify microbiome, such as Plantain flour, Green Banana flour, tapioca flour and potato starch.

      Correct, but bacteriophages turn bad bacteria into pre-biotics. We eat a considerable amount of this unwanted bacteria everyday, especially when we eat fruit and vegetables. The prebiotics you mentioned are great, this is just another approach.

    I would think most persons interested in using phages would first be looking to reduce pathogens (gram negative bacteria) first, which may leave more room in the colon for more good bacteria. The lab reports by the manufacturer include 2 safety studies in vivo, with 4 increase in probiotics studies in vitro, but no blinded before and after in vivo study that should include microbiome mappings. Otherwise one cannot know how the phage(s) actually behave and effect the environment of the gut.

      Bacteriophages themselves just eat up pathogens. The huge research was done in Russia of 1970-s -- about that line of the human organisms defense by Bacteriophages.

      @@natural-informant that’s where I buy Neprinol and Floraphage from (iherb).
      Danny I wanted to ask you, is it okay to take 2 pills of Neprinol afd and 2 pills of Syntol together on an Empty stomach straight in the morning? And fast for 1 hour and then eat breakfast? Is there some type of cross reactivity between both of them that I have to spread when I take them? Thanks for your help.

    I take some sold by life extension. But have been trying to find other manufacturers to compare. I have found very good results with the life extension brand and better than adding probiotics as suggested by your title. I will always take some probiotics but I think these phages are a big boost. And less SIBO flare ups.

      I had heard it best to take fibrinolytic enzymes on an empty stomach an hour or two before meals. If you take it with food, the enzyme will be spent digesting your food instead and not make it into the bloodstream to work on the arteries. I took one product that had these instructions with it. Hope this helps. I would take it however the study paper Danny presented to simulate the same results.

    Do bacteriophages have an impact on LPS within the gut?

    • @natural-informant
      @natural-informant  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Phages do neutralize gram negative bacteria, so common sense tells me that LPS is impacted. This is a great question, I’m going to bring it up to a brilliant phage researcher that I know. He should have a much better answer. I’ll get back to you.🍻

    • @natural-informant
      @natural-informant  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d like to add that supplemental phage products do contribute to lessening the amount of gram negative bacteria that contain LPS. At first, in theory there could be more LPS released, however over time LPS should balance out and then decline.

    • @idragonfly
      @idragonfly 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@natural-informant Looking forward to hearing whatever additional information you are able to acquire.
      My concern at present is that by neutralizing gram negative bacteria, LPS may be liberated - and if one has a leaking gut, the rest of the body and brain could be inadvertently victimized.
      I was kind of hoping that the LPS would be neutralized along with the gram negative bacteria.
      ~ Call it wishful thinking. 🙄

    • @natural-informant

      Food that has the most bacteria will have the most phage. Typically raw foods, especially raw veggies and salads.
