Da'Mon Stith It occurs to me that you could also make a series of videos (in the style of the Gracie Combatives videos) that teach people how to wield a khopesh via sparring drills between two or more people. Instructions that start from basics up to khopesh vs [insert weapon here] drills. Khopesh vs. Gladus Khopesh vs. broadsword Khopesh vs. spear Etc. If you think about it the khopesh was used by Hoplites to fight against a variety of invaders wielding a variety of weapons. So it would be natural to introduce khopesh vs other weapons techniques. My kids have shown an interest in ancient Egypt, including the khopesh and they would be thrilled to learn how to fence with it.
The hisshou is a modern knife with Japanese influence. Take a look at wakizashi drills. If you'd like to see more specific to that, I can maybe find some time to do one.

Damon, great video, but it would be really helpful if you slowed down on the hook maneuvres, maybe a slow time drill followed by full speed.

Excellent Khopesh drills, do you have any experience with the Japanese Hisshou? Would enjoy some close quarters Hisshou drills.
