    This is the BEST maple glaze recipe I’ve found and I searched for hours! It’s simple, to the point, and most like the glaze you find in the store bought doughnuts but obviously with the homemade taste! Thank you so much for sharing with us! ❤️

    This is a great recipe but i doubled thr amount of maple syrup and extract in the glaze other than that this is amazing

      Did your glaze still set with these liquid changes or did you have to increase the powdered sugar?

    What to do if the doo doesn't rise

      Double check your yeast. What does the label say? My guess is that you need to move the dough to a warm place and if you used the wrong yeast, it might take longer to activate (like 3 hours). It's also possible the yeast is bad but not likely.

      You are proofing the yeast in a warm milk mixture (see step 1) of my recipe: thefrayedapron.com/long-john-donuts/ *note you could sub in instant yeast to speed up the rise time by about 20 minutes (step 2)

    It’s a great recipe, except for the canola oil.

      You can use another high heat oil. Refined coconut oil is my personal favorite.
