Like to see the comparison to the GAPR low.
A comparison with the new Titleist driving irons would be nice. Not so much for distance, but as to which inspire more confidence and are easier to get used to.

This is an interesting club for me. I'm wondering if they'll offer this one in LH because the last one...they didn't!
I owned a GAPR LO for a while and really liked it! I could never get the balance/swing weight quite right though and eventually gave up on it.
I eventually chose the T-MB as my driving iron and I've been very happy ever since! It's weight, balance, forgiveness and versatility are exactly what I was looking for in a driving iron!
MY DRIVING IRON:
Titleist 718 T-MB 2i (17°), with Graphite Design Tour AD 95X Shaft
Mabey not the most friendly club you hit in 2019 but probably the best/friendliest 2-iron you hit in 2019 🙌🏻
I bought my GAPR Lo 2 iron and have not looked back. the only change i made with my GAPR is trashed the graphite shaft and installed a DG 105 onyx, had it cut to stock 2 iron length at 39.25 inches and it is a beast. i average about 245 with it. It is great off the tee, fairway, and even rough.
Cant do anything but hit Hybrids left so use last years one. Its great if you're playing in wind move it back a bit hand forward and just punch it out even with a moderate swing it just goes miles.
Same here. Hybrids going left is no good for a fader. Love mine.
I bought the old UDI 2 iron with PX shaft when it came out, but struggled to get it airbourne so swapped it for standard P790 3 iron with the same KBS Tour shaft as my set and love it. 2 degrees more loft and more forgiving shaft did the trick. You need alot of speed to make the UDI work with that PX shaft.
Was gonna get the old p790 udi but just ordered the new lynx prowler vt stinger 16* i have the vt irons so will look good with my irons. I do like the look of the new udi and i like the p790 irons but they were just out of my budget. Gr8 vid as always james👍

Long story but I have replaced my 4&5 irons with hybrids and now carry 3,4,&5 in hybrid, which work very well and far better than my long irons. No driving irons for me.
You have to love on course testing and it was another great on course test. I was very keen on trying this club but if the rumours are true that it’s not available in left hand then that’s disappointing 😢
Loving the videos and I’m very keen on you putting it up against the gapr low and I would like to see you put it up against the new Titleist utility irons

Yep sold I have a gapr it's too high from the tee in Texas which is what I got it for so I am in although might look at a different shaft first it's a dream to hit.

I have both the UDI and the GAPR Lo. I can work the UDI much better than the GAPR. I also get about 20 yards longer with it. Gamed the GAPR for about 2 months, working with it, trying to like it, but it just didn't happen. I don't find the UDI as unforgiving as you imply, but I usually strike my irons pretty well. If they've come out with a new GAPR, a comparison would be nice to see. Otherwise, I've already done my comparison and found the GAPR lacking. JM2C

You didn't really mention anything about whether its better or not than the previous model. But you did talk of it being unforgiving. I find with my previous model UDI that the "less good" strikes still go really well - still stay pretty straight, fly a touch less, run a touch more and end more or less same place as the good - so for me its a hugely forgiving club. Can't believe the new one is less forgiving!!?

Cant really see the point of the UDI when TM already have the GAPR low tbh. Great vid as usual.
I have the previous version of the UDI. I think the GAPR is very ugly whereas the UDI looks like a blade and suits my eye. Horses for courses? And for what it's worth, the UDI is by far the most forgiving club in my bag!
They don’t really market the gapr as a udi.
The GAPR is mostly categorized as a hybrid whereas the UDI is a driving iron

Hi James, good review, I have a question for a recommendation please, for the first time I'm hitting fairways with a repeatable outside to in and downward attack angle with the driver creating a little fade and I'm getting about 220-235m total distance with my old Nike Sumo square driver, is there any driver on the market that performs better than average with an outside to in swing and downward attack angle for a bit more distance? Or is it a case that it's probably the max it will go and the only way to get more distance is to have a more inside to out swing and upward hit on the ball?
How do you think it changes from using a Steel iron-shaft to the hzrdus one?

People see these in pro's bags and get excited. But eventually everyone realizes that these clubs are really one dimensional. And if you're good with a driver you're not going to use these clubs as often as you might think. For me DI's are course and condition specific clubs. If it's a short tight track I'll put it in.
