I live in New Brunswick, and cant believe what I saw on this video....unbelievable and absolutely beautiful......you two made the adventure so much fun to watch
On your last night, you stayed on the beach which is adjacent to our family property. The drone footage shows our land. Where you crossed the bay is where my grandfather used to row across over 100 years ago. You made an incredible video, congratulations.
The production value of your adventures eclipses anything on Discovery Channel and others. You both crushed it and took to sea kayaking like pro's! Glad you made it safely!! Thanks ❤❤!!
Love that area and was fun to see more of it. Really like the geology info too. My dad is a rock hound so it’s nostalgic for me. My wife and I biked around Cape Breton and have good memories of the area. Thanks!!
😅the morning news is usually a downer, finally, I can say something positive.Saw your interview and watched your video, feel so proud of our province, than, you both for sharing.
In the last night of the video you stayed on a beach adjacent to our family property which can be seen from some of the drone footage. I’m so glad you enjoyed the area. Where you crossed the bay, my grandfather used to row across there and we marvel about that all the time as a family. Love the video congratulations.
I am sorry to see this trip end. I can only imagine how you felt. So beautifully documented and narated. Thanks for sharing. Best “tv” vlog I have seen in a long time!!
agreed but I have to add Canada is a beautiful Country , wish all of us could really see all of it , what an adventure that would be, Jim aird also shows us a lot of his trips i canoeing rivers and lakes . I watched an interveiw I think with Noah and Jim
As a Nova Scotian, it amazes me of the natural beauty of the east coast. A big thank you to Noah and Rachel for bringing it to us so we can be arm chair explorers and only dream of what you have done.
That was a great video! We went to Cape Breton for Celtic Colours in 2019 and we loved the country. We plan on coming back in 2-3 yrs and will need to tour Nova Scotia more than we were able to then. Wow, that is some beautiful country!
Great kayak trip ! Cool video, you are, as always, very patient to videotape your aventure... Bravo and thank you for sharing ! Just small tip to land safely on shore when the big waves want to push you into surf towards the beach : turn your kayak around, paddle forward in the waves to stabelize the kayak and avoid the surf, then quickly paddle backward in between waves toward the shore at you own speed, always in control, an eye on the next waves.😊
Noah, as a the "better" paddler you should be following the slower paddler. That so you have control over the situation and can help if needed and they decided the pace :) Other than that, taking Rachel on a journey like this must be exciting for you both :)
I have been watching this channel for years, and the episodes incredibly keep getting better! As a fellow Nova Scotian paddler, I say Thank you for bringing me along with you on your adventures. You make a great team, well done!
Just discovered your channel and loving it. It has me so homesick to move back east. Perhaps in the future. Love your production and the adventures are so interesting. Lastly, holy crap Rachel is a strong girl, way to go!!
Just watched your video. Loved it! Paddled out of Murphy 's cove and can't wait to go back. Please order Rachel a 'she wee' . Game changer. And a kayaking hay with a chin strap! Although the orange was really cute.
Having recently watched a few of your guy friends and yourself doing your thing it was fun to see some female energy coming into focus. Rachel is a gem and has great grit and humour. To do this sort of thing together is a true testament to the strength of your relationship. It was especially endearing when poor Rache had migraines and dramas with her sleeping pad. That sort of thing sux big time. That you both got through the challenges you faced was a joyous journey for this spectator. I hope you get to spend more time with the great people you met and the great places you visited on this expedition! Thanks for sharing!
What an awesome trip!!! Thanks for sharing this with us. You two make a great team as evidenced by your good matureness throughout the trip. I was super impressed with the fact that you had such little kayak experience to take on this challenge but you did it--wow! You should get your partner a second paddle for open ocean paddling as storms can separate you pretty quickly and each paddler should be individually equipped when possible. At a minimum, the weaker paddler should carry the spare as the weaker paddler is more likely to loose a paddle in heavy weather. Thanks sooooo much for sharing your trip as this was the nicest trip I've seen in several years and I try to watch all Canadian paddle trips, so well done and I'll be looking for your next trip--oh, by the way, thanks for the geology lessons--that was a nice addition!
Thanks Charlotte, you make a good point about the paddle. There were a few takeaways from the trip, and it's nice to get constructive feedback like this. We appreciate it
Boat leashes have saved my life several times. I have a military veteran friend , big tough guide, who used to guide in my area, but he didn’t have one and has gone home. Hypothermia is fast and even in summer. It’s harder to get back in the boat the colder you get. Most people burn out after three attempts. I recommend making a stirrup out of webbing and hose, binder it to your paddle float and even injured you can get in. Solo kayaking is always a solo sport, no matter how many people you’re paddling with.
Just getting around to watching this one now. As expected, another fantastic journey you two have taken us on, thank you! I must say though, it's a good thing you cut the lining out of your trunks AFTER that up the shorts shot from the house you collected drinking water!!! 8D Take care guys from BC
Side of Nova-Scotia I haven't seen yet! Thank you so much for taking us on that journey with you! Been to Keji, minas bassin down to Yarmouth and back around through Bridgewater. In laws live in Medford area. Camped Blomidon as well. Did cabot Trail when i was younger with my parents. We fly in or drive in depending on the time of year. LOVE nova-scotia!
Wow Noah, thank you so much for making this film I don't know where to start. That plug for the Nature Trust just warmed my heart. I know what I'm doing next summer. Skipping surfers alley and starting at the 100 Wild Islands, going up to Gabarus and Bras D'or! It's not the swim that scares me, it's the 2 km off shore! I'm taking the dogs and the solo prospector and staying close to shore, portaging as needed, and using the lakes along the coast to shelter from the wind when I can. And focusing heavily on fishing. This is slowly turning from a dream into a plan!
The route would make for a great adventure with a canoe. In 1980, Scott Cunningham circumnavigated Nova Scotia by canoe. His book, Sea kayaking in Nova Scotia, is a must have and was our guide on the trip
38:00 What an absolutely beautiful place and a gorgeous shot. Thank you for going out there and having all these adventures and sharing them with us. Canada is such a beautiful country with awesome people.
Great video as usual. I appreciate the explanation of the geology and the granite uplift. I’ve seen geology videos on TH-cam but that’s never been explained.
I fished bluefin tuna in eastern passage where you left from and drum head and Canso town for about 25 years great video ! I take you out fishing but I retired
Awesome video... Little Dover, Canso is my hometown... I've been to Drumhead , I've been to whale bone cabin ( previous video)... I know Buzz and Emily.. Thanks for making this video it's incredible.
Love your videos, love the cadence, the really cool mix of fun, tension, scientific info and art. You’ve got a real knack, thanks for taking the time and effort to share. Reminds me to slow down and enjoy..
Excellent video guys, very soothing to watch on this bitter cold night in Upstate NY, and love the little bits of geographic info. Rachyl, i felt that migraine. It might have been a barometric headache due to the pressure change of incoming storm ( I personally get them often)
Rachel and Noah, thank you so much for taking us along from Halifax to Cape Breton. It’s been nothing but amazing scenery from the drone up high, the bodies of water, and beaches. Such great humans helping out to keep you safe along the way. I’m not gonna lie, Rachel’s cap sizing was dramatic for me. I just about lost it. I noticed she was getting behind and then couldn’t see her at all. It was rough out there. Be proud you did it. 🥇 Good job 👏🏻
What an amazing journey guys! Really enjoyed the video! Those rocky coastlines are so beautiful. I love rocks and I always enjoy Noah's little rock talks lol! It's really interesting what happens when you find yourself in a small community for a day or two, especially if you are travelling by a non motorized way, such as paddling, biking, or walking/hiking. We had that happen during a five day bike trip last summer along the Ottawa Vallery Recreational Trail. Every little community we went into, the people were so friendly, and wanted to help you, event if you didn't need help lol! We had so many people want to tell us stories and history about their communities, offer us water and assistance, and when they found out what we were doing, where we were travelling to by bike, they are all just so excited for us. Watching your video really reminded me of our little bike trip, and how we were surprised in the end how much of our trip ended up involving people and community. Can't wait to see you and Rachyl's next adventure!
Excellent documentary on Eastern NS. We live in SW Nova, and Kayak the gulf of Maine. I like the conservancy that is protecting the wild coast of NS. We winter in the mountains of NH and we have a similar program to save the new Hampshire wilderness. I believe the have about 150000 acres of land under their protection.
What an incredible, exciting, fantastic adventure... beauty the entire way, including the two of you. I didn't want it to end, but I get it, can't continue without the mustard. Thank you for a stunning video.
Cudo^s to you both. What a challenging and awe-inspiring video. Absolutely amazing guys. Thank you both for taking us along on your magnificent adventure. Nova Scotia is amazingly beautiful. Looking forward to your 2024 trips together. Cheers 👌👍
Amazing Video with top notch narrating and videography, showing our beautiful coastline of Nova Scotia. Congratulations Noah and Rachel on completing an epic journey along our eastern shore, and thank you for sharing it with us!
Excellent, really enjoyed this. Your films are better than the adam shoalts film I watched the other day and that was high quality and professionally made, shows the level your at. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure.
Epic trip.. the support you received along the way is proof that there is still hope in society
I live in New Brunswick, and cant believe what I saw on this video....unbelievable and absolutely beautiful......you two made the adventure so much fun to watch
Love the geology tidbits. Absolutely obsessed with thisssssssss
Thanks Noah and Rachel. Epic.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing that
Redhead beach I think
This is what advertising Nova Scotia should be!
that was so good, that was a 2 hour film that was absolutely fantastic....... Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The production value of your adventures eclipses anything on Discovery Channel and others. You both crushed it and took to sea kayaking like pro's! Glad you made it safely!! Thanks ❤❤!!
Totally agreed!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed!
Exactly

Props for that audio track while snorkeling giving the Steve Zisou vibes....
I'm glad I wasn't the only one!

I am sorry to see this trip end. I can only imagine how you felt. So beautifully documented and narated. Thanks for sharing. Best “tv” vlog I have seen in a long time!!
Aside from the physicality of the trip, the unseen effort that must go into creating something this beautiful is impressive.
Thanks for taking us along. This is beautiful country.
Omg you two are inspiring was sad to see it end.... well done.
Thanks for this trip and video, amazing, truly enjoyed it.
I loved watching this, you two are great, and the coast is beautiful, especially the hundred islands. thank you.

Those cormorants really know how to paint the rocks
