    Fun trick with Rocket Boost, they count when you're using "random mount" so, you can have no mount (except your legacy wide Rocket Boost) and you can use random mount to summon rocket boost at level 1 in lieu of a speeder, since they are faster than level 1 speeder piloting (though you can get dismounted)
    Edit: You circumvent the rocket boost cooldown timer when you summon via random mount. So you mount up, boost until it expires, and then mount again and get back to rocket boosting. (Does not work in no mount areas)

    Hey Swtorista! I just started playing at the beginning of the year after building my first PC and just want to say thanks for the wealth of information you have available for all of us.
    Like yourself, way back in the day, the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight/ KOTOR games were some of the first Star Wars video games I ever played. I was instantly hooked and have played the life out of those games since.
    I've been waiting to play this game since release and I just finished my first Character's arc and leveled to 75. I've got a bunch of expansion gameplay left to accomplish and I've been using your videos on the chronological way to do them, so I don't miss out on any detail.
    I've been going through your videos on what else to do as well, like veteran flashpoints etc, yet I've run into a problem trying to find Operation instances.
    That, and I have no idea what to spend my accumulated credits on.
    Anyways, I'm glad you're still making videos after all this time; they're very helpful for people like me who are somewhat new to mmos.
    Hope you have a great day!

    • @Swtorista
      @Swtorista  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow congratulations on reach level 755!
      Credits kinda have very little use. Flip through the legacy/character perks and unlocks see if you like any. Buy cosmetic items. Getting the best gear in the game gets quite pricy moving mods around, spending tech fragments, getting augments, and crafting if you're interested in that, check out getting the nicer strongholds, etc!
      As for operations. They are a whole thing. The hardest part is finding a group to do them with haha. I don't have a set list of tips for getting in to them yet.

    I think guild bonus goes up to 15% xp, from level 50+ guilds.
    On leveling, I highly recommended people try to run with dps companions if they are speed running, and put the many medpacs, that drop, on your bar. If you decide to do heroics, try out your companion on dps, or heals without the channeled heal on and see how it feels. (they'll do more dmg)
    If you are always higher level than the planet you're on, don't worry too much about the mod slot, but more about the enhancement slot and left side. Mastery power and endurance are capped. But you still get all of your secondary stats including defense.
    Do intro to crafting, when you hit the fleet, and talk to every trainer. Do intro to strongholds at level 15. Claim any titles you have unlocked in collections.
    Black talon spacebar is great xp until about level 30, it's decent until the 40s iirc.
    Makeb is underrated, use the gsi clicky, it will boost you stats if necessary, heal you in combat and boost exploration xp by 250%.
    Quicker daily zones are pretty good too, like the black hole and czerka.
    Kotfe is great xp from 60-66.(kotfe loses a digit of xp after 66, unless they patched it) (and Onslaught as well 70+) But don't do those if you want to preserve your class story.
    Imo a combination of bt and heroics were the fastest way to level pre 6.0, (excluding bug hunt and yavin cheese) Not sure how long heroics take now with the mobs being heftier, might be better to group level through them for speed. (side note reminder, that you don't need a ship to spam heroics, you just need to hit their minimum level, and they usually will appear earlier on the fleet terminal than they will in your control G interface)
    Sorry for the book :/

    • @Swtorista
      @Swtorista  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @kangkudos1225
      @kangkudos1225 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a 15% XP bonus a guild can always have applied, but that can be augmented by temporary guild ship-module boosts that Come-and-Go and expire after something like 30-60 days granting additional passive bonus boosts like: +3% XP All Sources, or +5% XP from Ops, Etc. So I think the max passive XP boost from all activities is potentially 18%, and maybe 23% for a specific activity. Absolutely everybody should join a guild. My biggest mistake was waiting until finishing my first character story and starting my 2nd before joining a guild.

    1. Do the class story on the capital world, which gives you your ship.
    2. Put you credits into the explorer experience boost.
    3. Use XP boost items.
    4. Then simply access the galaxy map and start visiting higher level planets.
    You can easily gain 3-5 levels on planets like Rishi and Yavin by simply speeding around, and revealing the map.

    • @tTaseric

      Agreed the mobs of enemies will one hit you on Rishi, but you can reveal the town and some of the other areas for some nice quick leveling up.
      Another risky trick you can attempt on Yavin is to be near your factions main camp in the jungle.
      Then find the nearest beasts and attack them, and flee back into the camp, and let defenders and turrets kill them for you, while you get the XP for it.

    My own little guide: 1.: get a guild on the starterplanet, press U to travel to their flagship, retrieve about 1mil credits from your legacy bay to unlock all the important leveling perks like exploration boost. Make sure to have about 3 major exp boosts on you, either by getting them off gtn, guild bank or from the datacube missions on nar shaddaa. On fleet in general chat ask to be invited to someones rishi sh ( ns sh first if u need the exp boosts from datacube missions) and then let them kick you. Now explore the full map of rishi which will get you above level 20 withing 20 min. From here level with flashpoints to level 60 (50 and from there heroics is a bit faster esp with a group). Once lvl 60 play chapter 1 of Kotfe till 66 then do kotet chapters till 70. After that speedrun ossus in about 20mins and do the story missions on onderon. Gz youre done. This will take approx 12-24 hrs depending on how experienced you are, but with double exp around the corner you can level 1-3/4 chars a day if you really want to push it. Enjoy

    1st. We should be able to use your extra characters as a companion. It would be awesome to venture the galaxy with my Sith Warrior and Sith Sorcerer teaming together.
    2nd. All characters should be interactive in your ship and homebase. And when you interact with them, they give you intel on your current quest.

    Great video - I would also suggest, if you have already run them, skipping the planet story and just sticking to the character storyline. Also heroic or (H2) quests can be a quick way of getting xp. If you can get a like minded player to join you for any of your questing this will cut the time taken as you will fly through neccessary kills even faster. Also, getting onto the next planet as fast as possible is advised as the xp available will exceed that available from earlier planets. Finally, if you are familiar with the game "death porting" is always a fun way of getting around - this is where you kill yourself to end up back at a respawn point which will leave you nearer to your next quest giver.

    I speedran the class story for 4 of the classes while I was waiting for Onslaught to release, honestly it isn't super difficult to stay a high enough level to keep up with the story if you're subscribed and do one or two side quests per planet, I finished the stories at around level 46-49 on each of the characters, although stacking boosters would definitely help if you're not subscribed.

    6:12 For HK-51, I've noticed that if you claim it from Legacy, you only get one sniper rifle with the purple cristal, while if you do the complete quest, you get 2 sniper rifle with the purple cristal (+36 crit). So if you like purple cristals, you might want to do the quest line. I know you can get purple cristal from the Championship vendors on Zakuul (+41), and sometimes on the GTN, but for Free to Play who can't use artifact quality cristals, this is the best they can get. Of course, if you unluck HK-51 from a ranged character for which you don't mind the cristal, you may transfer the cristal to a dual saber caracter through a legacy item.

Despite how much Ive played I still feel very noob but also joined a pretty well done guild has made it enjoyable. Also done a lot of quick lvling through running Flashpoints often

    You can hit max level in two days top. Finish first three planets and gather a crap ton of XP boosts, once you have like 5-6 of them start doing Heroics, that's pretty much it if you're looking for a max level toon with no titles or whatever, otherwise you'll be ready to hit the new expansion in no time.
    One day if there's an exp event, like the one coming in few days 25th if I'm correct - you can do it in a matter of hours, just find a mobs farming group. Imp side is on Balmorra, and the Rep I think Alderaan.

A group of 4 of us started at level 1 and basically just the class stories till we got our ships then did heroics and the xp was insane.

    Swtorista.Very nice and useful video . My opinion as one of the first players involved in this game (since beta) is: fast leveling makes very bad favore for new players.Why I do think so is a matter of long explanation. However there are lots of people who prefers fast leveling, hence I find this is good guide for them.

    Nowadays it's just main story to get all the companions and by the time I reach Belsavis, I'm at the cap and I go do something else ... Like roll another Sniper or Operative, coz damn if the Imperial Agent story ain't the best there ever was ! :D

    I just found a niche of the niche to consider when leveling. With Onslaught, there are amplifiers that appear on gear. Some of them increase experience point gains from completing certain tasks (missions, PvP, Flashpoints, etc). While these have no real effect when doing story quests, as the higher stats will always be better, in a scenario where you are scaled, like a flashpoint, those amplifiers can help give just that liiiiiiiiittle bit more experience here and there.

    Well ich leveled 5 Characters to lvl 50 and to the end of there class storys in the last 3 weeks to finally get all 8 done.
    I saw that the fastest way to level a character is to as you said just do the purple quests or sometimes even just the class quests, depending on your lvl and if you would die if you would just rush further. 3 hour XP-Boosts are granted after completing a class quest so these aren't really a problem to think about and as you said the quick travel maxed out is a life saver xD

    The "fast" answer: Play. With Conquest exp. points for everything you do, it's ridiculous how quickly you level up now. It doesn't even matter what equipment you have, because you're always too high a level for the planet you're questing on, and your equipment/health etc. are auto-nerfed. In my experience, I have lower health and weaker equipment than someone playing at the correct level does (when you can find someone who isn't playing at a reduced level) and it's still usually not challenging. But it's fun for now, so I'll keep going. (It's just that I don't care about end-game content at all, and would rather enjoy the leveling experience.)

    There is a dirty trick with the Yavin SH (or any high lvl SH). Gotta get invited, then get kicked. It should spawn you outside the SH, so on Yavin 4. About 20 lvls in half an hour just by exploration. Gotta have the money for the basic taxi service.

    What I do is I have level and on the starting Planet I start doing Starfighter immediately. I continue to do Starfighter and class missions accordingly. You Can level fairly quickly to 50 within a couple of days. Once you're round 50 start doing dailies and between 30 and 50 flashpoints and then once you hit 50 start doing your dailies. Rinse and repeat it would take about 3 1/2 total days to get to level 75 that's been my experience
