I've been a legendary player for a while now. I have to say that my favourite story is the Sith Inquisitor, with the Sith Warrior coming in a close second, and Imperial Agent in third. Your content is some of the best, and most informative. Thanks for all the hard work and attention to detail. You're the best.

Funny enough my top favorites are these as well but in the opposite order, being Agent, Warrior, followed by the Inquisitor. The empire side is so much more fun. Not that the other side doesn’t have their moments.

Personally, it took me 4 years to reach legendary. I would always do two classes in about two-three months and then burn out on the game, and not play for a year. But it was so satisfying finally getting it

Being a Founder and having legendary legacy 50 on all 3 English servers I have one additional tip for character building; try to have 1 stealth character for each faction and make them slicers/gatherers. Soloing veteran and master mode dungeons along with heroics is much faster with stealthers. They also make great gatherers. You'll have all production professions covered from your non-stealth classes. For example, if you have a scoundrel already then make an assassin for the imperial side. You'll run into many situations where you'll think 'I wish I had a stealther for this.' Just make them early and thank me later.

@@Dirtnose It depends what you already have on other characters. Choose whichever you have least of. I haven't checked prices in a while but in the past arch & bio were better money makers early on, with scavenging catching up in late game. If this is your first character and you plan on saving up mats for other characters I would go arch & scavenging. They cover more production professions than bio.

I found that hopping between republic and empire helps keep the gameplay intriguing while trying to get legendary. Story wise I enjoy all the stories as I am just a star wars fan in general so this order is trying to keep the order of classes in a way that makes it so the gameplay wont feel too much the same as the previous class. Ideally we keep switching from republic to empire, rotating the starter planets, and if possible from force to blaster users but at the very least going from one class to another that's not a mirror. My order is
    1. Jedi Knight as it is essentially like the default story experience and makes the most sense story wise when going into expansions as well.
    2. Imperial Agent as you wanna switch from rep to emp but also from a force user to a blaster user. Imp agent is regarded as the best story and as your 2nd character you will have the option of having a high level stealth character down the road which is useful for running flashpoints quickly.
    3. Trooper as although we go from blaster user to blaster user, you don't want to repeat tython yet, so this way you can experience ord mantell, the other rep starter planet. Also gives you the option to have a high level range character if you went with a stealth agent.
    4. Sith Warrior as you can experience the other emp starter planet. Now although we would want 4 to be the sith inquisitor because we have experienced the warrior mirror class, knight, we do the warrior instead because the next class is
    5. Jedi Consular. We are trying to avoid playing mirror classes back to back in order to keep gameplay feeling different from each playthrough. Therefore, we played as warrior as 4. The reason we go consular is in order to keep rotating the starter planets.
    6. Bounty Hunter as we are just trying to go through the remaining classes without having the similar playstyles be right next to each to other in order, keeping gameplay at least not too similar from previous class playthrough.
    7. Smuggler as this is the last rep class story.
    8. Sith Inquisitor as the last, and certainly not the least, class story for the game.
Once again, this class order is intended to keep gameplay varied between each playthrough. This means avoiding playing mirror classes back to back, such as playing warrior instead of inquisitor because the class after 4 was consular, the mirror to inquisitor. I focused on keeping gameplay varied because IMO the class stories are varied enough that if you were to play knight, followed up by warrior, the stories would still feel unique to their class. I hope this order helps newer players in not getting burned out when going for legendary, and maybe you come up with your own story order. Best of luck!

When I started playing this game I first took the sith inquisitor.
After some time, I started noticing that players had this "legendary status", so I searched what it was and when I found put that you needed to complete all class stories, I thought I was never going to reach it... So i kept playing and playing and eventually (I didn't even notice it at first) i was awarded with the "Legendary status" and it felt really good to finally have it done
In regards of the order that i played, i went: sith inquisitor > bounty hunter > sith warrior > jedi knight > imperial agent > jedi consular > smuggler > trooper

I ended up starting an Imperial Agent ringer the hang of things coming back after a long time away.
The choices in that one are very intense. You really don't know what the results of any given decision are going to be, light or dark. The Knight and Trooper have been much more low key in the aftermath of moral choices, but with the Agent, there is a much greater feel of risk of you want to go light side instead of dark side.

I started playing in September of 2021 with a Jedi Consular. I thought he had an interesting storyline and I played a lot of side missions to get familiar with the SWTOR Universe, mechanics, quirks, etc. After I maxed him out a level 75, I started to work on Legendary status and my next toon was a Sith Warrior. It was interesting to explore the shift in philosophy, politics etc. To make a long story short it took me 8 months to complete legendary status. It has been an interesting ride. My 2 favorite toons are my Sith Sorcerer, and my Imperial Agent (she also has the sweetest starship hands down). Thanks for all your advice.

What took you 9 years, took me 9 months starting in September 2019. As I am disabled and homebound, I was able to breeze through all 8 pretty quickly because I had time, a luxury most people don't have. My path was Jedi Knight, Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Jedi Consular, Agent, Trooper, Smuggler, and Bounty Hunter. I disliked the Bounty Hunter the most and it was also the class I most resisted in playing. It was only during the previous Double XP event, prior to our current one (9/2020-10/2020), that helped me really level through fast through Agent, Trooper, Smuggler, and Bounty Hunter. By the time I finished the last 4...Agent was level 70, Trooper was level 72, Smuggler was level 75, and Bounty Hunter was level 70...all before Ilum. I have since slowly raised Trooper and Agent to 75, and Bounty Hunter to 72. With the new Double XP event, I will finish off all the expansions on my Jedi Knight (which is still on Nathema Conspiracy), and reach level 75 on all my original 8 classes...some of which I haven't touched since finishing the initial class stories. Unfortunately for me...I'm an Alt-aholic. I just started yet another Jedi Knight (my 5th, and she's at level 18 before getting to Coruscant) and I have 26 toons between Satele Shan and Star Forge. I feel like I should say, "Hi! My name is Rob and I'm an Alt-aholic!" When I started on Star Forge it was about a week before your 100K subscriber party live stream, and I transferred a character from SS to SF to take part in the festivities, and by then I was already Legendary Status...so all of the perks I had on SS went to SF, legendary status, unlocks for the ship (except Guild Bank), as well as two fully unlocked Strongholds ( Dromund Kaas and Coruscant along with all of the decos I had acquired, even if I already used them on SS). My tips would be this... After trying all the quests on your initial character for each faction, ignore or skip all quests you don't like unless they are class quests. Either untrack or abandon them if they pop up. Also, full-tilt boogie...use every single cut on time you can (Quick Travel, Rocket Boots, stealth if you can, etc) to bypass what isn't helping you move forward in completing the goal. I only decided to go for Legendary after I had played the first six, and was playing some of them over multiple times. I didn't realize what I could do with Heroic Moment before this video! Thanks for this! Even a Legendary player can still learn something amazing and useful about this game. That and the Heroic 2+ trick from Altair Alonso...I'm gonna use that! I would point out that I think you also get the title "Living Legend" that you can display on your nameplate instead of Legacy name...I might be wrong, and I apologize if I am. Favorite class...Jedi Knight (Sentinel, specifically)

Legendary status was one of the reasons I started playing the game in general! Over the years I've leveled a different class whenever I got the itch to play a Star Wars game and didn't pick KOTOR 1 or 2 once AGAIN... It's been really fun and rewarding to unlock over time whenever I leave the game for a bit and come back to play a different storyline, and having a good "single player mode" is something SWTOR has done better than any other MMO I've played.

I have played through Trooper and Agent classes and now I am playing through the Counselor story. I think even though it's admittedly the slowest I've played, the Counselor story is the hardest. I highly recommend your first character being a Jedi Knight for two reasons. 1. It's the closest thing to a Kotor 3 story we are bound to get. And 2. All the other classes have the same story in the expansions with minor variations. Also there are spoilers to the Jedi Knight Story line in the Original endgame and through out the expansions regardless of what class your playing and it's easy to figure out what it is. So play Knight first and know what the other characters are talking about later in the game. "Hey, I was that Jedi that did that thing you're talking about Marr!"

I first joined the game in March 2019, and I've completed the whole Jedi Knight story and have the other seven classes all on Voss right now (as a preferred player until recently). It's been a really fun ride, seeing the galaxy from every perspective, seeing all the hidden references to other stories, and seeing characters that appear in multiple stories. In terms of difficulty to reach this point, I've been pretty successful with just ditching all the side quests and speedrunning planets (about 1 hour per planet per character), even though my characters are always about 3 levels underpowered. I did have to stop to farm Heroics at the end of Chapter 2 because I was physically unable to enter Belsavis, but other than that it's actually gone by pretty quickly.
Tip: Using Stealth (on Operatives/Scoundrels and Shadows/Assassins) can be nice, but don't overuse it. It can be tempting to skip all the enemies in an area, but you will miss out on a lot of XP points and wind up far below recommended level. Instead, kill some easy enemies, do some easy bonus missions, and you will be in much better shape when the time comes to face your final boss.

I've been playing since launch. I love this game and still play it. Currently on Rishi with my BH. :)
My very first toon was a Jedi Shadow because...double-bladed lightsaber! I remember looking around Tython in absolute wonder and just loving the storyline! I then played a Sith Assassin...and I think from there I'd mirror each side.
When I was actively raiding, I'd heal with my Sage or Sorc. Later, when I moved to another guild for progressive (including nightmare) raiding, I'd use either my Sage or my Smuggler healer. There was another girl in the guild who had the same healers and we'd love to mix it up on raid nights (she'd bring the 1 class, I'd bring the other) - we really complemented each other! Unfortunately, the guild broke up over time and my new job didn't allow for that kind of dedication to raiding so I didn't bother looking for a new guild.

I've dabbled occasionally in the game once it was free to play, but only in the last couple of month have I started playing it again regularly. Sith Inquisitor has to be my favorite, even if I haven't reached legendary yet, I'm such a sucker for dark, mystical power stories, and the fact that it's such an underdog start. The only class that really gives that feeling of scratching and clawing for glory and power to finally sit on the Dark Council is amazing. The only class that sort of captures that same idea is the Bounty hunter, and it's really not as compelling of an underdog

Another recommendation for quick leveling (depending on class): get the capitol world transport. For the sith inquisitor, sith warrior, agent, and trooper you have to travel back to the capitol world a lot. Not having to travel through the spaceport can speed things along.

I ironically unlocked Legendary only two years after the game launched. Favorite story is definitely Imperial Agent, but all of the Empire stories were great (which is definitely a major factor as to why I like the Empire in game so much)
Personally, I would recommend leveling Trooper/Bounty Hunter first followed by Knight/Warrior, Smuggler/Agent, and finally Consular/Sorcerer. While one should definitely play what attracts them most, this order follows the difficulty bell curve of what's easiest to solo with to what requires the most optimizations. It also conveniently leaves the possible Stealth classes for later, which will in turn allow you to stealth past content you may have already experienced prior.

I've had the game since launch and have been playing it on-and-off for almost 10 years now considering the anniversary's coming up. But I still have smuggler and agent to do, and I'm specifically saving g the agent for last. I had every force user storyline spoiled for me in the early year, so I kept myself VERY far from tech class spoilers, especially the agent considering it's the one I most often hear is the best. Tbh I think even now that legacy of the sith is releasing I still kinda wanna play a sniper for it too, cause I always loved that it was the only sniper class honestly, I thought it was so cool to have a class where the weapon choice just felt so right, and those were the first two classes my older brother picked when I was trying to get him into the game, so they hold a pretty special place in my heart

The order I went was Sith Inquisitor cus I was more interested in being a sith and being as evil as possible, plus double sided lightsaberrs were so cool.
2nd character I went bounty hunter because around the time I played I just finished watching the Mandolorian.
3rd class was the Jedi, I was told to start with this but I was like nah I wanna be dark side but after 2 imp characters I decided to just do Jedi.
4th was the trooper, was really hard going through chapter 2 but it ended on a high note.
5th character I made was the sith warrior, and I liked going lightsided sith with a bit of pragmatic darkside choices, made an honourable yet complex moral sith.
6th was smuggler and it was just plain funny being a Casanova
7th was the imperial agent, I made it chiss and it was by far the best story line, so many twists and turns and references to other storylines
last was Counseler, while not as bad as others made it out to be, coming straight after the imperial agent it was kind of a bore, didn't help that the voice acting for the mc was so dull sounding.

I finished each class story one after the other. As soon as I finished one, I made another. I dont really have a "favorite" story. I enjoyed them all. My favorite class would have to be either Sith Assassin or Jedi Shadow (simply because of the stealth and ability to either tank or DPS). I probably enjoy the Bounty Hunter and Trooper the least of all. I did all my class stories before you could choose which companion was tank, healer, dps. This made it more difficult, but it's something that a lot of newer players will never understand and can never claim. :)

I chose the Jedi sage as my first character even before launch, and I was among the first on my server to complete eternity vault. After that I leveled a trooper tank, as I wanted to play a melee non force user as the antithesis to my main. Then I burned out on the game and came back at 6.0, sprinted through the agent and inquisitor stories and i have to say, I'm glad I did the slow ones first!

Only thing I could recommend is not doing the Agent story first. I did it and it felt like most other stories, while not bad, didn't measure up. It's subjective some people like other stories better and it will often come up in general chat which one people enjoyed more, at least until general chat degrades into something else but it is regarded as one of the better stories.

Having played through each class a few times, I think Agent should be played last. Mostly for story reasons as towards the end names and faces will be mentioned that will only make sense if youve already played the other classes. And if you play Agent first, you likely wont remember the names and faces you saw as you come across them in other stories. Just kind of makes the reveal towards the end of the Agents story have less meaning as you wont know who any of those people are.

I'm a Legendary Player. It ended up taking me just shy of a year to achieve that status. The order I played was Jedi Knight > Sith Warrior > Smuggler > Imperial Agent > Sith Inquisitor > Trooper > Bounty Hunter. I'll have to admit that my favorite story on the Imperial side is Sith Inquisitor with Imperial Agent as a close second while my favorite story on the Republic side is the Jedi Knight with the Smuggler being a close second. As for my favorite perk of Legendary status, I would have to say it would be the Heroic Moment because I find it fun to be able to use powers and abilities that certain characters don't have access to.

This guide popped up and got me excited for SWTOR for like the first time in years, and with a bit of trying I was able to recover my old account that I lost almost 8 years ago (which I originally lost due to my mail service being unavailable at the time, leaving me unable to log in to the game or even forums - couldn't even cancel my subscription in any other way than just emptying my bank account just before sub was scheduled to be paid, since EA doesn't DO customer support and I was only getting automatic replies telling me to call the other side of europe for help). Now I attached the damn authenticator so hopefully that won't happen again.

I ended up with a spreadsheet to track my characters. Combinations of races, dark/light, professions etc... Once thing I learned : when I first started of course I went for force users. Is Star Wars, right? But that can get tedious as you repeat planets (take Sith warrior and inquisitor) in a similar order. I later learned to start a force user and a gun user, one light, one dark. This adds variety to the day to day play to level them up. Taking two at a time helped me keep up with skills etc, vs having 8 and switching between them. I started gun users later as I didn't think it would be what I play Star Wars for, but they do have excellent stories (I like them all, sorry). Chasing achievements I found a few things here and there where you might want to have a dark side pub or a light side imp. Keep that in mind also.

Consular heroic is the best by far... As it is how the skill originally was!. New skill is just one rock, heroic one is 3 rocks. And that skill is my fav one in the game, as the debree changes depending on the ground. Then a close second would be force choke, then force lightning.
Consular one is the best if you are a sith warrior and you want to be full darth vader, as throwing debree is the only thing you did not have in your toolkit.
Force choke is if you want to be Anakin turning.

My order. Inquisitor - Warrior - Knight - Bounty Hunter - Trooper - Smuggler - Consular - Light side Agent. Agent has a couple extra ending choices so I tried that a couple times with both Dark and Light sides. Since I've of course made many many characters. But that's also how I'd rank them all except Agent would be number 1 in my order only because how cool it was. Just wanted the best last. Currently at 92 characters.

I have been a Legendary player for a while now with Trooper being my First and Second characters :S. My favourite thing about being a Legendary player is having that on my character. Like when looking at other characters on the fleet and what not, you can see which ones have completed all 8 stories without using the flair or Heroic Moment. Example like when looking at someone you see Name, Guild they are in, and under that Legendary Player. I know its small feature but I like having it.

Halfway to legendary, currently just coming back after a long break. So far did agent, knight, hunter and consular in that order, and started the other stories. • @hofii2
    @hofii2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I achieved legendary player before most of the rewards for it were in place. I started with a Smuggler (Gunslinger) and really enjoyed it. The trick is to come up with a personality for your character and make the decisions that are right for that character. My smuggler wanted to shag anyone who crossed his path and had a constant eye on his bottom line (long term, not the get rich quick type). My Sith Inquisitor (assassin) pursued whatever yielded more power over the long haul. If that was the light side choice, so be it, but often it was more dark/neutral.
At this point, I've played every class story twice. Playing the same class story and making different choices brings out so much more. It's also easier to catch the cross-class/companion references on the second pass. Vette and Risha friends makes more sense after you've played the other class. Zenith's story overlaps with the agent's story. The writers really did their job well. I just wish there was more writing of that caliber in later expansions.

I'm going for my 3rd legendary right now, taking advantage of the double XP event.
My 1st one, on the Progenitor EU server (Now Darth Malgus) was done early on, it took about a year, since there was a group of us leveling at the same time.
My 2nd one was finished earlier this year, when I started playing more on a US server, and took advantage of a 2x XP to speed through the characters I was missing.
Also, while you're correct that there's no title associated with the Legendary achievement, you do get the Living Legend title when you reach Legacy level 50, which you'll likely get before or near completing the class missions, as the Legacy levels much faster when doing only purple missions.

  • @mflax4331

I'm NOT as long in it as you, but I guess some ways on getting XP improved over the years. I was introduced into the game by hitting accidentally on a let's play done by Anthwolf. He plays it from the beginning and he adds comments on the changes he experienced. He recently finished his legendary status as well. If you want to see any full playlists, I would always recommend him for picking up (especially on lore).
I think I finished the Jedi Knight first and then I did the Imperial Agent. Both very interesting storylines. I'm in the game for about 2 years now and I subscribed. It's a bonus to be subscribed, but I would only recommend it if you know already that you are in it for the long haul and that you can invest a bit of time into the game. Currently I have 2 characters open for completion. One is the Jedi Counselor (currently on Voss), the other is the Trooper (currently on Belsavis) - not much to go now left - chapter 2 almost finished. I got ALL characters started during an XP event and switched them around a lot. I finished 4 stories in the last 2 months. Since the improvements on the conquests I usually play until getting the 50k point rewards and then switch to the next char, until the next week when the new conquests start. Those conquests give additional XP even outside of an event and almost always give usable rewards approbriate for the current level. Thus I was able to outfit all my high level chars with item level 270 and above. Legacy max level was reached several months ago and I maxed the convenience skills on the legacy that I preferred.
I don't concentrate on achievements and I skip all jumping puzzle datacrons (I'm bad at those anyway).
Some races are limited in their use (Chiss; pureblood Sith; and others) and playing up one of those up to level 50 unlocks it for general use. That is one part of levelling up that you missed to mention in this video.
Recently I spend my ingame currency on buying more strongholds (outside of the expansions) and I am now checking your videos on those. Only Corruscant and Dromund Kaas seem to be limited to their factions use, all others can be shared - at least that is how I understand it. Only the homeworlds have most of their rooms unlocked - there is a lot of time to do the rest.

I've been playing this game around the time Shadow of Revan came out and my first characters were a Bounty Hunter and Trooper and I played them around the same time, though I started to blitz the Hunter storyline when I found out that they can become Mandalorians back before the Mando show was a thing. Then, after doing that, I played my Trooper and after that, I stuck primarily to expansions, but I would take long breaks from SWTOR up until this past year when I deleted all my characters(I bounced around a lot and never finished a third story by that time), except for my Trooper and Hunter. I then restarted my Consular and Warrior storylines, though I wound up beating the Consular first and the Warrior during the exp boost back in April/May. Then, I beat the Knight storyline and I later finished the Smuggler storyline(that one had me laughing a lot of the way through, loved that one). Now, I'm almost to Legendary Status with an Agent on Hoth and a new Inquisitor on Dromund Kaas. I've never been one for multiplayer, so I've been running story content and had a lot of fun throughout all my stories. My favorite perk is the Heroic abilities by far. They've saved my tail during so many battles when my gearing has been lest than optimal. I've had a lot of fun so far and I intend to keep having fun. Your guides help with this a lot and got me interested in the game again, so thanks for that and keep doing what you're doing.

Trooper, Smug and BH are the ones I left to the sidelines for a long time and after going through them the Smug was alright, but the BH and trooper both left me cold, doesn't help that I strongly dislike the playstyle of these mirror classes. The BH was the last one I did and I really just got Shae, lvl 50 used the lvl 70 boost quickly got to 75, equiped 306 gear and just went like a DPS god through everything to just finally get it over with and make it legendary which was like a month ago now.
    To rank the story lines:
1: Imperial Agent My first and most common class I think I played like 8 agents, mainly cause they have by far the coolest ship :)
2: Sith Warrior, really nice story line some good points in it and it plays amazingly as a light sided user.
3: Sith Inquisitor, The female VA just makes this class, the pure distilled liquid sarcasm is something I will never ever tire of in my life. Story itself is also quite good and interesting.
4: Jedi Knight, yeah it is the box standard story you would expect from the poster child, not really what I would have wanted, but I think most people did.
5: Smugelar, Lots of wise cracking jokes, endless luck and raw stupidity. Didn't really like it, but didn't hate it either, the jokes just make it palatable really.
6: Jedi Counsular, What a drag of a story, I play nearly always light sided I am just to much of a goody at hearth, but gosh I never wanted to space a bunch of people as often as I wanted with this story line. It makes me sad as I really love both the Sage and Shadow playstyles, and they are a PERFECT fit for KOTFE etc.
7: Trooper, ranked above BH simply cause of Jennifer Hale, but beyond that I like not to spend my time committing and covering up war crimes and other criminal actions of people, shooting that 1 former companion was the sole reason I took my trooper into the KOTFE story.
8: BH, I killed or captured stuff I guess and something something mandalorian traditions, yada yada. It is the most recent story I played and I struggle to recall a damn thing from it.

I actually started playing back at launch but finally got round to doing the final class story for the legendary status. I know, 8 years on but I did take 2 long breaks in that time due to both my parents being diagnosed with cancer and subsequently passing away. Games don't matter so much when that happens. But I digress. Just got to Corellia on my Consular (Shadow) so should finish it in a couple of days depending on work. I did enjoy the Agent story the best though. Done that one twice strangely enough. Great channel btw, keep up the great work.
