      When I was a veggie through the 90s they had an amazing bean burger. Not sure it'd work for the channel as I don't think they've sold it in years, but it was gorgeous. I need to look for a recipe now!

      Do you get a Chicken Foldover in the UK? We have it by that name in South Africa. It’s called a McArabia in some other countries. One of the few things on the menu I love.

    We don't have double sausage mcmuffins here. But the regular egg mcmuffin with sausage most times are $5.00 each in Arizona. Sometimes they run a special of 2 for $5.00 for a few weeks.

    As an American living in the UK, I make these (singles not doubles) all the time because I find they don't taste the same as the US ones. The best sliced cheese for these available in the UK is Dairylea imo. Probably closest to how American cheese (particularly Kraft singles) melts and tastes. They're usually on offer so not too expensive. I've found others either don't melt or have a really weird taste. Tesco and Aldi both also sell a pretty close frozen sausage patty match if you can't find a good minced pork with a decent fat content.

BTW I came across your video where you talked about your life and challenges...last week while I was in bed sick. I can't tell you how moving it was...I often brood on my own painful family experiences but it solves nothing and I can be grateful for the people in my life that gave support and help as much as they could. True... happened today July 8, 2024 in Folsom, Ca (outside Sacramento) On the way back from the hospital my wife and I stopped by a Micky-d's for an egg McMuffin... well we missed their 'time window' so couldn't get one. Second choice was a Filet o fish. $12.42 for 2 burgers.... including tax!
    Thanks Gavin Newsom!

    I make one of these 1-2x a week. I pick sausage, bacon or even ham. Buttered n toasted English muffin....takes less time than GETTING to McDonald's
    Every month I pre cook sausages and bacon to freeze. Sometimes it's turkey burger SEASONED like sausage

    😂 I started making my own because every single time I want one I get sorry sir we stopped serving breakfast. Made my own not as professional as yours just bought some bob evans sausage patties but I was surprised how cheap and easy it was, now I see McDonald breakfast differently

      I have a fondness to the big mac. When I was younger and had a troubled childhood, I used to come visit my dad up here in Leicester. We used to get a big mac each and we'd sit in the car and eat as we chatted talked about fishing. I always felt like a grown up with this massive burger like my dad lol. Good times

    Looks pretty good, mate, but I'm afraid that I'm one of those hillbillies who doesn't like runny eggs in any kind of sandwich, as they're a bit too messy for me. 😂
    I actually make things like this quite often, (the egg will be "over well," as the Yanks would call it,, although that wouldn't be to your taste), and I will quite often add some bacon, (not crispy, just nicely browned), a slice of tomato, and some caramelised onion on top of the egg, with some HP or some other brown sauce. 😋

    • @Adam_Garratt
      @Adam_Garratt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You had me at HP sauce, love that stuff especially on a sausage sandwich. It's funny because If I overcook my eggs and they aren't runny, I get a little bit of egg rage haha. They have to be runny for me

      Glad to be putting a smile on your face fella. As for KFC, I have tried many many times to get it spot on. I've found you really need to proper pressure fryers and such to really nail it down. Have a look at a channel called Glen and friends cooking. We've known each other on this app for a few years and he really delved into the KFC recipe and he's got some brilliant videos on it.

      I use it quite often. I've found things like roast potatoes aren't so good in it as they tend to be drier than in the oven. But its good for a lot of other things when i don't want to use the big oven
