I was born in 2002 but love watching videos like these. It feels comfy and familiar even though I was never there. It has a very quiet relaxing quality that modern life doesn’t.

Old dear paying had an orange Pepe jeans key ring, used to pinch them as a kid in the clothes shops in broad mead, Bristol 😂😂
People queued patiently back then. Also notice how nobody is bothered about putting the ‘next customer’ separator down at the tills. Now it’s like people are paranoid they might have to accidentally pay for your shopping

I am trying to remember the name of a desert, it was like a fine rice pudding with apricot jell at the bottom (could have been on top). In an individual plastic container. any ideas appreciated.

She starts searching for money (why not get it to hand before?) at 1.54 and doesn't hand over the money until 2.34. 40 seconds to pay, no one wonder the lady in the mac coat is frustrated.

Love seeing the old cardboard milk cartons - but I remember what a bitch they could be to open successfully sometimes. The plastic cartons are much better now.
Judging by the bunnies and daffodils it’s Easter time and looking at some of the packaging and fashions it’s 1995 yes.
We still have cardboard milk cartons, juice cartons and yoghurt cartons in Finland, often they come with a plastic cap these days. Plastic carton doesn't even ring a bell with me...

Pocket the Difference. A slogan used by Asda from 1992 to 1996. The staff uniforms were different in all Asda stores by 1996. The one that the checkout operator is wearing is a design from the mid-80s.
