Very likely. Proton Competition will switch from Porsche 911 to Mustang GT3.
So far they have 2 teams competing in LeMans next year.

Love the sound!! Those American big blocks sound amazing, I was in Le Mans in 2014 and the most impressive car sound was the Corvette

Those aren't big blocks. For this Mustang, it's a 5.4L Coyote derivative, and the old C7.R ran a 5.5L LT small block. Worth noting is the relative external dimensions of the engines, with the pushrod engine found in the Corvette being significantly smaller and lighter than even European V8s like the BMW S65.
@@griffinfaulkner3514 Ford's modular engine has only a 100mm(3.937 inches) bore spacing, vs GM 111.76(4.4), Chrysler 113.28(4.46), Ford(SBF) 114.3mm(4.5) or the new 7.3L/6.8L at 115(4.528). Wish the Ford Modular V8 had a 110mm bore spacing for a 103.6mm(4.080) bore and 82.9mm(3.264) stroke or 5.6L and a 8500rpm redline, but Ford wanted the V8 to fit in a model that had a short engine bay🤔😔.
At Monza 2023 Cadillac Hypercar was so loud, like the loudest in the competition! I hope Mustang will be a great competitor in that category

This car has one of the better racing transmission sounds; sound is a bit like a jet engine and quite harmonious. Combine that with the (also) good sounding Coyote V8 and you get quite a nice sound!

the Porsche GT3R probably has the best and the most complex sounding transmission aswell, treat to listen to

All GT3 cars, regardless of manufacturer, run a 6-speed sequential semi-automatic transmission supplied by a specified list of suppliers. I know that the Ferrari 296 GT3 car runs a single-clutch transmission, but I don't know if that's a universal thing in GT3 cars.

@@steveb8883 it's not. It's a sequential.
@@Christopher_TG Sequential transmissions are, by definition, single clutch. They're more or less manual transmissions with straight-cut gears and no synchros that literally slam the next gear into position, with the ECU cutting power for a split second on the shift to unload the transmission. DCTs have two entirely separate gearsets, with even gears on one shaft and odd on the other, using the clutches alternatively to engage one set or the other.
@@griffinfaulkner3514 Worth mentioning you can have odd gears on a different shaft with a single clutch, with a computer completely controlling the engine between shifts, but I'm not sure if the technology has made its way from F1 to the GT3s and GTEs.

You need to update your team drivers and racing teams. Errors to name a few. Jaems Courtney should be James Courtney. Add Chas Mostert, Nick Percat, Walkinshaw Andretti United Racing, Penrite Racing, Matt Payne.

@@kenxiong6830 We'll see how GM does, but I'd rather Ford have all of their I's dotted and T's crossed before jumping in. We have to remember that building a car is only the first step. Ford also has to assemble a team/stable of good drivers.

It will be officially revealed at Le Mans. It is not racing yet.
GTE is being replaced by GT3 in WEC as of 2024 (how exciting, lack of factory efforts in a world championship... woo.), not too sure about the Ford GT3 itself tbh
@@icememevan they’re planning on doing Le Mans with the Mustang GT3, they mentioned so when they announced they were making a GT3. I don’t mind the switch away from GTE, GT3 has proven a much more popular and affordable formula

Yeah, the sound from the x-pipe exhaust on the V8 Supercars is next level. With this side-exit I assume true dual setup, it sounds unsurprisingly very similar to the AMG GT3.

They just released the Dark Horse R yesterday. It’s a factory race car that anyone can buy. You can get it through Multimatic starting at $147,000. This is a race car and is not street legal.

BUT BECAUSE OF ALL THE DETRIMENTAL THINGS UNJUSTLY HEAPED UPON THIS CAR, AND THREATS OF MORE, THEY WERE OBLIGATED TO LEAVE, BECAUSE THEY WERE ESSENTIALLY MADE NON-COMPETITIVE. THE CRY BABIES AT GM AND PORSCHE COULD NOT KEEP UP, AND LOBBIED FIA AND IMSA TO HOLD THEM BACK. SIMILAR TO THE SALEEN S7 THAT EXTREMELY DOMINATED THEM SO BADLY YEARS AGO. GM AND PORSCHE THEN QUIT THE SERIES, STATING THAT THEY SELL MORE CARS THAN SALEEN & THAT THEY ARE NOT A VOLUME MFG. ULTIMATE TRUTH!!!!!
