I’ve had my ‘15 for a year. My left is flickering. I have the replacements.Glad I found your video . Now I’ll know what kind of air filter I have. 💪🏼🇺🇸
I am a long time subscriber and used your video today to change my right low beam bulb. Many thanks for you and your channel. Very helpful and straightforward.
I own 2 trucks. One a 2015 Silverado. The other a 2018 Ram 3500. Even tho the Chevy bulb was a little tedious. Nothing compared to replacing the Ram bulb. I had to damn near remove the whole grill to replace the bulb. Anyway. Thanks for the video.
Is accessing the high beam bulb just a matter of removing the two bottom plastic push tabs and removing the plastic shield to access the high beam bulb cover?
My head light in my 2017 Silverado went out and this gurage here charged me $418 to fix it. Told me they had to put the whole thing in. I found out from my brother yesterday that you can just change a bulb. I went and got my recipt from where they fixed it and showed my brother. Is there any reason they would have had to changed the whole thing or was i ripped off?
It sounds like you got ripped off but I do not know exactly on a 2017, would be easy to find out on the driver side if there's a bulb compartment on the back side like my truck has
The covers on mine don't even turn an ⅛ of a turn. They hit the grille support first. I had to pry them out with a large screw driver!😡 They weren't even close to the notches to release. I don't have enough clearance to even get them back on!
Just replaced exact same side and now my day time running lights don't work...if i flip the switch to manual they work but usually they run automatically. Any ideas of what I can check? A fuse maybe?
If they work on manual mode it's not going to be a fuse because they work, probably going to have to get a wiring diagram and see if maybe the switch is bad
@jaime8874 Hey brother I literally left it alone due to time restraint and I guess they cycled or something cause they started working as they were before. Honestly don't have an answer for it myself.
Check for power and ground where the bulb plugs in, if have both then it's a bad new bulb, if you don't have both you'll need to start checking wiring and fuses
Grab a test light or a voltmeter and check the socket to see if you have power and ground, if you're missing either one you have to back trace and find out where the problem is
@@robguysgarage5422 have you ever heard of a problem where the truck just automatically cuts off if driving or put in reverse? If I try and put it in reverse to back up the steering wheel will be hard to turn. When it cut off. It easily turned back on and this time the steering wheel felt easy to turn.. I'm thinking of taking it to the dealer
On the left side there's an opening in the inner fender to get to them, on the right side you have to take the air filter out and there's an opening, I think I'll do a video on this too, thanks for watching!
This process makes a cold air intake project look more enticing… wife doesn’t know yet but I’ll convince her I can’t change the bulbs till I get rid of the box.
I seen some videos, people was removing part of the grill and the bug plastic cover and removing the headlight assembly particularly the just to change the bulb
this has to be the most ridiculous way to replace headlight bulbs. I own a 1994 Dually slammed replacement part's are easier. my 2014 LTZ Silverado is FN ridiculous.
not as bad as the 2007 yukon i used to own, had to drop the whole front clip. nice job GM, full employment for dealer service department attempt. ridiculous.
My issue was that part that connects with the air box. The part that has foam. Ive broken the tabs on it. Plus im to short to reach the engine bay. I have to stand on a 5 gallon bucket. It is a painful to replace this bulb. The driver's side is way easier for obvious reasons.
@@robguysgarage5422 the air cleaner is roughly the same but the whole lighting assembly is completely different. Mine has a single bulb but I've never seen bulbs like this before. It has a square ballast on the back of it that's almost the size of a credit card.
Thanks bud. Appreciate the guide. Idk why Chevy makes the replacement of the bulbs and the batteries so tedious 😂
Not too bad though
They design it like that so you can take it back to them lol that’s all it is
@@inthefastlanebroexactly. That's why trucks don't last long either. Car manufacturers trying to milk as much money as possible

watched your video and changed both of my headlights yesterday on lunch break at work. thanks for the video man. i really appreciate it 👍
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
Quickest and simplest video ever...thank you
Glad it helped
I have 2016 HD the dealer told me the front bumber needs to come off in order to replace this exact bulb for about $380! Thanks for the video
Glad it helped

I really appreciate that, so glad to hear the videos help, and thanks for the sub and watching!
Extremely helpful. Worked like a charm
Awesome glad it helped
Great video It made changing the bulbs easy
Good looking truck too
Got one just like it
Glad it helped, thanks
Made mine to change easy also
Awesome video. Took me about an hour but wasn't hard at all. Thanks
Glad it helped!
What about the turn signals? seems like I can’t get to the passenger side.
Thanks! Really made it easy on mine after watching this. Cheers!
glad it helped
Thank you, only took me about 20 minutes
Glad it helped
Thanks I had no idea how to get to the headlight
glad it helped
Thank you for sharing the knowledge. I have to change this exact bulb 👍
Thanks for watching

You bet, you would think they would make it easier just for themselves at the dealership
Thanks for posting this, very helpful. Horrible design by Chevy on this one
Glad it helped
The fact he had to take airbox out, man, these gm dudes must've been high designing this.
Thanks! This video made it a no-brainer for me!
Awesome, glad it helped!
My check engine light came on age finishing…maf sensor is connected properly and don’t look like there’s any leaks, any tips?
What is the code

Glad it helped
Thanks for the video you just saved me a good amount of time. It is appreciated just saying.
glad it helped
You know it’s over complicated when the light bulb replacement instructions are the air box and filter change video with additional steps.
Yup, it's ridiculous
Just made a noise I cannot spell. It meant frustration though. Thanks for the help Sir!
Was really dreading do all of this but it was actually really easy and fast.

This don't look bad at all. I replaced the drivers side easily, I got pissed off when I seen the air box in the way on the passenger side.
Yes, the passenger is a little more involved but not too bad, thanks!
either of y’all know the process i need on the driver side?
Thank you very good work
Thank you too!
Changed the driver side bulb just fine. Passenger side cap WILL NOT COME OFF! Any suggestions??? It turns 1/8 of a turn but doesn’t pull out….
Maybe try a pic tool or a small prybar, if worse comes to worse you could try threading a screw into it and using that to pull it off

What happened to the pin you pulled and the whole headlamp came out
there's no pin, but the bulb has a connector if that's what your'e referring to
How to align the headlight settings, high and low beam
Not sure, really haven't looked at that
My check engine light came on after I finished any reasons you might think why ?
Maybe the mass air flow sensor isn't plugged in all the way, but a quick code scan should reveal the problem
Just changed mines same thing my check engine light is on try disconnecting the battery for 5 mins connect it an see if it goes away
Thanks for the help!
You bet!
I seen another video saying use a 9005 bulb, is there two different options or?
The high beams use a 9005 on some apparently, I only did the low beam on mine, thx
Already fed up with my Chevy. This just adds to the reason I'll never get another
So far so good with mine
What if I did all that and my light still does not work
Check for power and ground where the bulb plugs in, if have both then it's a bad new bulb, if you don't have both you'll need to start checking wiring and fuses

Maybe try some big slip joint pliers

this has to be the most ridiculous way to replace headlight bulbs. I own a 1994 Dually slammed replacement part's are easier. my 2014 LTZ Silverado is FN ridiculous.
Wait till you get a car where the front bumper has to be removed to replace the headlights, that's even more ridiculous

Looks incredibly complicated for a novice with limited tools and fat hands, like myself.
